Prince Harry Reunites With King Charles For Less Than An Hour

- The Duke of Sussex has returned to the UK after making an emergency dash from the US to see the King following his cancer diagnosis.
Harry flew in on Tuesday afternoon ready to be reunited with his father, despite the pair’s troubled relationship.
The duke cleared his diary and made the journey alone, with the Duchess of Sussex and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet remaining at home in California.
Royal watchers have expressed hopes that Harry and Charles will be reconciled in the wake of the King’s shock diagnosis, with suggestions the duke could also makes attempts to try to heal his long-running rift with his brother, the Prince of Wales.
The King, who is said to be resting at Clarence House, began treatment for an undisclosed cancer on Monday after the disease was discovered while he was being treated for an enlarged prostate.

Why on earth would Charles and Camilla want Harry staying at Sandringham with them? Even I don’t stay with my parents anymore. I visit them, have lunch, a few hours of chatting and mostly small talk tbh. A few coffees together and cake. And then I go home, I drive two hours home. My parents have skate bedrooms. But to be honest they prefer their quiet home just the way it is, they love it when people visit and they love it when people leave.
After Harry revealing so much private information about the Royal Family to the WORLD, I don’t think they will EVER let him stay in their private homes again!

I think the stress of Harry’s behaviour for the last 5 years has battered King Charles immune system. It certainly hasn’t helped. The last person I would want visiting me is someone who’d talked badly of me, my wife and my daughter in law. There are very few Harry hasn’t bad mouthed.
It’s very likely that the stress shortened the Queen and Prince Phillips lives, and now has affected the King and Princess Catherine’s health. The best thing Harry can do, is to leave his family alone. They don’t need anymore stress.

The RF has had to put up with 4 years of vicious vitriol from Harry and MM about them. Rome was not built in a day and a RF reconciliation with Harry isn't going to happen in one meeting. It's really none of our business how and when a reconciliation occurs. Unfortunately, Harry is not the dear ole boy he once was. Children grow up and develop their own lives and Harry chose to go the path of ridicule and embarrassment for his family. There is no going back to the good ole boy stage. King Charles for his age is very fit in general, the king won't be that weak yet of his treatment, I'm a retired nurse and seen many patients with cancer and I can tell you the first treatment would not make our king that bad yet, and I know he had surgery but again he wouldn't be that effected.

When I went through cancer treatmnent in Oxford, I was estranged from my mother. She flew across the globe to see me through my first chemo session, and I hoped she found finally become nurturing and selfless, but she caused a storm in the cancer ward, so I thanked her for coming and sent her home. My motto was: come, if you can be kind and supportive, but once you cause any form of upset, you must leave. I hope Harry is able to think ONLY about his father, at this time, and put his own issues aside. Cancer recovery requires total and complete rest, and emotional separation from any source of distress. I wish the King a full and lasting recovery. ❤

It's not such a terrible trip back and forth is it between London and Sandringham? As long as he's feeling well enough, I'm sure being in the country is curative too. Also, they didn't tell us what kind of 'procedure" he had, but procedures for his initial condition isn't always "surgery". I imagine that faded into the background with a cancer diagnosis. Hopefully, it's caught very early and treatment is quite effective.
Of all the sentimental twaddle Vanessa. What he has done cannot be brushed under the carpet and nor should it be just because the King is ill. The King has enough to put up with without dealing with Harry and his paranoia, accepting his prognosis, going through treatment is going to take all his resources, he doesn’t need more trouble. And is The Queen supposed to sit their smile and accept Harry in what is now her home after all the vile things he said about her? I wouldn’t accept that knowing the strain it would put on my husband to have Harry there all the time. Harry wouldn’t be able to stop himself from bringing up the past. As to offering his help with Royal duties, it seems to have escaped your notice that the majority of the country dislike him intensely and don’t want him back. My sister-in-law couldn't WAIT to MOVE to the same town as her mother when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Spent all her time and her mother's money trying to get her mother's home until we got a court order to lock her out and became guardians of his mother. Vanessa always seems to be trying to make excuses for Harry and to forget all the distress and pain Harry and his wife caused to his father, stepmother, brother and sister in law as well as his late grandparents. The King is probably pleased to see his younger son but a short 45 minute visit will never be able to undo all the harm that the Sussexes knowingly inflicted on his family and the Royal Family will never be able to trust them now. I call BS on your comment. STOP making excuses for Harry. I am a cancer survivor. 200 hours of chemo and 25 radiation treatments. There was NOTHING I wanted more than to have my loved ones, my 3 daughters and son in laws near me. I was obviously out of sorts, but I needed them near. Of course, I never had to worry about my daughter's and son in laws recording anything and writing another book. Yes, I was tired and beaten down from the treatments, but the difference between the two families is obvious.

Who knows how long the visit lasted. He may have been in the building for 30-45 mins but he wouldn’t have gone straight into the King’s room. You seem to forget Harry has written about very personal details about Charles. He also wrote a detailled desctiption about how to get into his study also how to get to the Queen's bedroom at Balmoral giving details of where the security detail is positioned. Due to this I would think his access and information must be limited as it would be a security risk.

I believe it is an attempt to WANT and ACCOMPLISH peace, restoration, forgiveness, normality. The woman who wants Harry to be his old self is like a mother who never gives up on her wayward child. I'm not surprised that Harry only met with his father for 45 minutes. That's actually longer than I would have granted him after all his shenanigans. Smaller doses of Harry may be just what the King's doctor ordered. I also think King Charles' decision to travel to Sandringham may do him a world of good. He has always felt at home in the country, and it is important for him to do what makes him feel comfortable and happy as he begins his cancer treatments. I look forward to seeing Prince William step up to assist his father as he concentrates on his health. I'm sure the Middleton family, close friends and staff will ensure that Princess Catherine and the children have all the help they need as she recovers from her own surgery. I'm sure these health scares will only bring the royal family even closer together, and I look forward to seeing brighter days ahead for all of them.
Prince William always have something more important to look for so he will never have the time for his brother. This is a sort of escape. If he wants to see his brother, he could take time but … it’s just sad.

Harry should not have even visited his Dad until after a period of isolation. Harry could have been carrying all kinds of pathogens considering within a week he has been receiving awards in LA, trip to Jamaica and then an international flight to the UK. His Dad just had an operation and a cancer treatment and is immune compromised--Harry should never have been allowed near his Dad at this time.
