Hi James is there a email or a number I can get you on mate if you can email me at ashbro889@gmail.com please
If you ever have to replace the tank in the loft, that will really be fun!
At your mother-in-laws talking about going in knicker draws? Worried! Need to speak to Emily! 🤣. As always, love the video, love the knowledge, love the delivery! From one guitarist to another, loved that moment. Keep em coming James. Masterpiece!
James is also a beast on the tools and Guitar !! Yeah baby !!!!
Another great film, I always learn something, thanks. Take care, regards, Chris.
whenever these videos come out it always puts a smile on my face, keep up the great work
Thanks man!
James can you please show a couple of things to help people out mate.
I’ve got a few pals who fit bathrooms and occasionally I get calls about problems that they encounter. I’m older than you, but you have always been my go too for visual explanations ( i wouldn’t have a clue)
I’ve had two conversations tonight and as you’re well aware it’s incredibly difficult to try and explain solutions to problems.
I’ve tried to explain how towel rails in older installations worked on the hot water side of the plumbing, and how to diagnose a blockage between the cold feed and vent on a gravity system.
There’s only one video where a bloke uses magnets but it doesn’t look into the cause.
You have been my go to guide for a long time, and a constant source of reference for clients.
Please keep up the great work you’re doing.
All the best, Les 👍
Great to see real life jobs, thanks James
That tip is quality I had that problem I had to put a full bore isolation valve on to stop it. Tnks mate
Years ago (alot of Years) when I was taught on lead run joints, we used to stick a small piece of bread down pipe to stop back flow of water, then when water was turned on the bread would break up and flush out of tap 🤣🥰😎
Love it makes me smile every time.
Great little when soldering.
Nice riffing James!! 👌
Mate i absolutely love your videos.
I learnt to fit a new washer in any draincocks I used
Above floor, where the pipework is in full view, I like to to use chromed pipe and fittings especially for radiators, it looks really smart but it does take that bit longer to de-chrome the pipe ends for soldered joints . If I encounter a pipe that continually wells up with water I solder all the fittings on the new ‘dry’ pipework and then use a compression fitting to make that final union to the ‘wet’.
Actually this was the perfect video for me, I’ve been wanting to know how to hang that first style of rad for ages (the vertical ones). You made it look so easy. Quick question tho...I use loctite 55 on it too but I find it still leaks, would you recommend using the liquid thread locker instead?
Fancy a tip for drilling holes in a tiled floor?
Make a donut shape with Plumbers Putty
Put it around where you want to drill a hole
Fill it with some water
Keeps your drill bit cool while you're drilling.
You're welcome!
I love this.
@@plumberparts Thanks James. But I can't take credit. Someone else told me about this work tip.
Eh bugger me that’s a great tip, and I’m a tiler!
Great video. Where was the towel rail radiator from please??
You get pipe cleaners that go onto a drill. Will take that paint of in seconds. Saves faffing around like that.
Hi James, with the flat radiator what did you mean by bunging up one end and how do u do this?
What is the best radiator bung to use like you mentioned at around 8:30 ish?
Love a rad vid mate! Ooosh
Them rads do look nice. That loft entrance is nearly the size of my letterbox ha
Always learn something from your visa, mate. You mentioned something about a bung for the vertical rad under the window but didn't see you insert anything. I know you can buy baffles for the bigger ones with flow issues but not heard of putting a bung in. Perhaps you can let me know what you mean? If it's a good rad you shouldn't need to insert anything.
Want to know this too, did you find anything?
Where's the videos of your bathroom refurb? Been looking forward to them progress videos.
Coming soon!
Little loft hatch between the gorgeous, Sister in law house was like that loft
Great vid, didn’t really understand what you meant about bunging the flow on that 1st rad?
It's to divert the flow to the top of the radiator, some radiators have them built in, some don't
I use a bungee and length of pipe slightly longer than bungee across tank and under valve valve arm!
Yes the lightbulb works and yes I'm stupid ! LOL
Plumber who hasn't got a grubby t-shirt is called the gaffer
The small loft hatch suddenly made sense 😆
stuff bread in the pipe works well when your in trouble
I have learnt that not to become a plumber for this vid fine job mate👍
Good on ya mate, a pain job! I’ve had em ,,,,, F water in pipes
Legend
oh no, crawling into and through that loft, it's like stuff from nightmares, I can just imagine getting stuck in there....
What should you do if the pipes are coming up out of the floor either side of the radiator, and the new radiator projects further out of the wall than the old one? We've just replaced a bunch of single rads with doubles and feel like we've botched it a bit. Wondering if there's something to be done without having to take up the floor...
Watch the video last week about pipe bending. If you do it right can look great.
@@plumberparts Aha thanks! Will have to have a go at doing it properly!
That makes my elbows itch just watching you crawl under that beam
It was such fun..... If you get a sec join the *LIVE STREAM TONIGHT at 6:30pm* - *_Open to all_* Bang the🔔too! ruclips.net/video/TRJJjTkdENw/видео.html
Does that blowing the water out work on gas? Asking for a friend ;P
Is there a reason why radiators are often fitted below a window? I'm doing up a room layout for my own house build so I'm just curious about the importance of radiator location. Thanks
Alright Des, you fucking legend! It's because it's the coldest part of room generally.
Hello, do you measure in centimetres and metres ?
We usually measure in yards for plumbing in the UK.
My floor mounted radiator feet has ruined 2 lots of laminate floor , has anyone experienced this ?
I'd be changing that to a sealed system lol, I wouldn't fit in that loft nevermind crawl down it
3:27 Where do you buy them tiny light bulbs for dolls houses then, there's no amazon link bro!
Was there a reason you made an offset bend for the right hand valve for the first rad rather then just do a dogs leg and elbow up into the valve?
Ahhh, it’s hard to see but the valve is lower than the pipe. Which was a bummer.
@@plumberparts oh that’s why, hate when that happens, top work 👍🏻
Not a chance I would've fitted through that loft hatch or under the joist!
Lol@a clock in the loo😂
I've all ways bought Bosch tools, now I've gone on to 18 volts
Imy lnees are crying at me watching you in the loft and no kneepads. I couldn't get up that loft but I'm late 40s and like my pies. 😂
Mate I'm not gonna lie ... my head falls off when I have to measure four separate hanging points like on designer rads 🙈🤣
I wish we have more people like you around . I have had problems with British Gas . They could not even service my boiler , despite paying them on a monthly payment contract to service my Gas Boiler , with 3 booking cancellations I gave up with them they are absolutely useless, do not use British Gas they are cra.....
You didn’t do a bicep curl with the bag
Ha!
Fuck I wish you were our plumber. My father-in-law does ours and it's a dog's dinner!
With these radiators how do you stop kids touching them?
Tell kids not to touch them🤷🏾♂️ or let them touch them once and they’ll soon learn not to
Next job relocate loft hatch...
Should try out the bosch multi material bits, they are shit as multi material, but cut thru tile like butter. Shame the do them in packs of shit. all you need in life is 5.5 and 6
You could've tuned the bloody guitar first!!!
Great to see you are a sort of musician......
HOLD TIGHT
I can't stand plumbers that bash other plumbers when they do pipework like that... Customer doesn't to break walls and break tiles to make the pipework look nice.... Really have some immature plumbers.... But great work my friend
