SCS has taught me so much about the Q50 and influenced me to get into vlogging about car things, I am on my way to pickup my own Q50 as we speak! Appreciate you man!
Thank you for the kind words! And i'm glad to hear you are moving forward with the vlogging! It's a great creative outlet and a way to add an additional layer to your automotive passion. Keep it up!
Looks good! Only thing I do not like is that the fin is a separate piece looks a bit tacky having the hardware showing. They should just make it a one piece design. Fitment looks good though!
Totally agree. I actually had a few comments about this in my video that I edited out because the video got too long. You'll see all of my opinions on these splitters in the coming days!
@@SpeedCultureStudios Sounds good man! I agree though there really is not a good splitter option for our cars. I ran those small splitters you originally had but it just looked to cheap for me so I eventually removed them. I now got carbon fiber splitters which I mostly like my only gripe is they stick out far from the car. I would say your current splitter has a better or more ideal to me fitment. Just prefer that mine is single piece with the fin.
@@Dreamevil2009 We are on the same exact page. I like the sleek subtle look where they don't protrude too far and have a small fin, but it needs to be a single piece for me too.
@@SpeedCultureStudios brother if you can manufacturer a true race underpanels for our car it would be a game changer. Simply look at the back end of the Q50 and Q60 horrible open space for creating air turbulence and drag. On a personal note i noticed the Q becomes really unstable at the track especially when racing it here at Homestead Miami Speedway at high speed.
oh for sure, i have some garbage ebay fake carbon splitters, clearcoat coming off after two months and from the front to the back you can feel it go from very rough to smooth gloss, made a huge mistake buying from ebay, never again
@@impropernovice2149 I just think the quality of parts on ebay is much less compared to actual brand sites, i speak from experience because not only did i buy side skirts, fuck i bought a splitter diffuser and lip too, all from ebay. The only one that hasnt completely gone to shit in less than 3 months is the lip.
Heads up, mines are similar from Street Aero and they will warp in the sun but when it gets cool outside the look nice and straight so dont get discouraged when its hot out and they look like spaghetti lol. They look good!! Dam mines came with the winglet already molded to the skirt... Yeah mines same thickness probably polyurethane.
Hey man. Could you place and bolt the bracket to the underneath of the splitter instead of the top like you have it? The fin will drop a little but it may look better. The bottom of the fin would be flush with the splitter but sticking out. Eh... Thinking this out as I type lol. Nope, we need to make our own splitters.
It can’t be done because the holes on the find are predrilled so putting the bracket on the underside will cause the holes to be too low for the fin. I tried lol. It’s edited out of the video but may show it in my review video coming up.
I have a 2014 q50s 103k miles stock rims and height. Both front wheel bearings are going bad so I'm changing them and both front cv axles lol. Also noticed right cat converter needs to be replaced soon when I was under car,, but no biggie yet. Just wondering if you had any similar issues
looking dope and looks like a good install, while I think all black is clean, additions like this dont pop and have the same effect when its all black. do you have plans to wrap the car? even white or a bold/unique color?
I like the all black. I don’t want any accessories to pop. When lighting is right, no color is better and the black accessories show just fine, but I know what you’re saying.
Don’t worry about the deep semi deep stuff. They are 19x9.5 +29. I think they fall into the semi-deep category but that’s irrelevant. The width and offset is what determines the category
100% agree about the brackets. It looks like the logo is supposed to be up front. Black hardware would've been a much better choice for them to use.. Definitely improves the look of the car overall, but this looks cheap and just seems like a half@$$ed thrown together kit. Good starting point for improvements I suppose. Definitely needs some structural integrity. But like you said, maybe using some fender washers would help. Love your install/review vids man. Keep the hustle homie
I pulled a bunch of my opinions out of the video because it got to be over 20 minutes long of me nit-picking lol, so I"ll have a full review video coming soon. But you're right, the camera doesn't do justice to a lot of parts, but my first impressions of these were just like yours!
I follow your video and recommend you to a lot people Speed but eBay has side splitter glossy black with the modeled fins brh, what happen? Next year if I decide to put them on I’ll watch ur videos because you make simple but man throw those out
I love the trackhawk, but have heard some nightmare stories about them. The M5 is a wild vehicle, but i'm sure you're aware of the cost of ownership when it comes to an M car. Still a favorite of mine nonetheless--and definitely a step up from the Q50 in terms of car.
@@bandidomxgarage7898 I mention that as well-thought in this video but might be a different one-I know why they do it like that, but I think there are better ways as well.

Make your own splitters. What I love to have is a true flat underbody panels as that would greatly help with aero work.

Yeah, we will see how they hold up! I'm a little unsure about them!
The finish on the splitters, will probably help with wear & tear from road debris. Versus a gloss black or paint to match 🔥🔥

No wind noise at all. They are firmly mounted and I don’t have them sticking out very far at all so I don’t think they catch much wind

She's gorgeous! What rear diffuser is that?
Thanks! I actually don’t know. A subscriber sent it to me!
Just my thought maybe the bracket should be mounted from underneath the splitter then you wouldn't see the edge of the splitter.
I thought I showed that in the video-if mounted in the underside, the holes don’t line up because the bracket isn’t tall enough
I would have ditched the logo stickers. And used black bolts/nuts.
Stickers are gone for sure
