  • This video is a re-post of an older one that had been deleted with the former channel, but not before it had garnered several thousand views so I figured it was worthwhile to keep. Here I compare the Lee breech-lock sizing die with the NOE dies designed specifically for Lee's APP.

Thanks for re-posting this, Walter. It is an excellent explanation of how the system works, the differences between the LEE and NOE setups, and how to use them.

🙂 Glad you're doing this, many times in the past I have found myself returning to older vids when I need the info for a current project.

Hi, Mike. Thanks. Me too.. there are videos out there that I refer to fairly frequently and would hate to see them go away. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸🇨🇦

Great video! This is as clear as mud on Lee’s website. Explains what I need to make my existing press work.

I got my APP to do decapping on primarily.. then I did bullet resizing... then I did 9mm, 45acp and 223 sizing... I love my APP! I liked it so much I got the ACP. They re worth their weight in gold.. on volume stuff they simply can not be beat!

Hiya, Papa. Thanks for stopping by. I haven’t pulled the trigger on the ACP yet, but would not want to go without the APP. It”s an incredibly useful tool and mine sees lots of action for depriming and sizing both cases and bullets! 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

@@viejo2a Even F Class John uses the ACP to prime his brass.... says it gives him the most consistent seating of his primers. That says a lot coming from a nationally ranked F Class shooter.

Thanks for the reposting demonstrating these systems. 👍
    It taught me alot.
Being an old man, and an old school loader the whole thing zipped right over my head! Far too many moving parts as the say. After learning with an Ideal/Lyman 310 and graduating to a Lyman 450, anything else would surely frustrate me to no end. Reckon I'd better stick with what I understand.

Hi Ranger. I always appreciate hearing from you and believe me, I get it about us old dogs learning new tricks. Sometimes though, something new comes along that either does a job better, faster, or easier. The Lee APP press is just such a piece. It does so much better at rapid-fire depriming, case resizing or bullet sizing in larger quantities. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

Don't sell yourself short my guy, I suspect if you spent a little time with the APP press and learn to deal with setting it up you'll be cranking out rounds in no time. I recently deprimed and resized 1000 rounds of .223 brass in only a few hours, the APP press is incredibly fast and easy to use once you learn it's quirks (mostly setting up the case/bullet feeder).

@@TheExplosiveGuy I appreciate the encouragement, but I'm afraid that I'll never adapt to new stuff. I'm still using the same old Lyman Spartan press and SparT turret press I bought new in 1960. Somewhere in the early 80's I bought a progressive press. After parts broke, and I repaired, three times, I pummeled it to pieces with a 4# maul! It found it's way to the curb for the trashmen to remove.
      I believe I'll stick to what I know. It's safer that way.😬
