This performance was truly inspiring. Your phrasing and tastefulness mixed with technical virtuosity was some of the best playing I've heard in a long time. Thank you.
Great demo jack, this may be the clincher to get this model, I wanted the high gain but also some flexibility and this demo really helps since almost all other demos for this model are more for the Metal guys.
There are so many great guitarist in the world and you Sir are in the top tier! I first heard you on the Guitar Idol contest and I was completely blown away! You have that special something that I hear in players the likes of Joe Satriani. Your playing has meaning, melody, and is clearly thought out! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us! I look so forward to hearing everything you do in the future!
I can't believe the 'on my way' guy just 'hammered on' my decision to get the 10x as opposed to the 10c..the mid-gain tone sold me...the Davies N4's gonna be happy about this!
By far the most versatile of the THR family.... it just bums me out that YAMAHA chose the more greedy route, they ABSOLUTELY CAN cram the shit out of the THR10c for blues/country players and the THR10x for the modern rock players in 1 box! , after all it's just a software thingy... great playing btw! I bought one myself and gearing up to another THR10C purchase
Lovely tone, great jam, Jack. Sorry for asking if it's posted elsewhere but what is your set up here - pickups and amp settings, in particular? Great sounding hands as well, of course - Sounds wicked!
WOW what a talent. I wish I could play like that. I have had a 1995 Midnight Blue Fender Telecaster in my closet since 1995 and I have never picked it up. It was what I got when my father died in 1995. And now I want to pick it up and get it cleaned and see what is wrong with it from sitting to long in the closet. So now I want to be able to learn how to play. And one day be as good as Jack. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Step 1: Have the desire to learn Step 2. Don't underestimate the power of musical knowledge - go to musictheory.net and start reading (yes, reading) Step 3. Have your guitar set up (since it's been sitting, it may have changed/warped the neck) Step 4. Have a goal in mind and work towards it - I would suggest learning the open strings and every note along all six strings (ultimately). To start, just learn the notes all along string six and five (Low E and A). This will help you with chords later. Knowing root position is crucial. Step 5. Don't expect too much too fast (it takes time, effort, and dedication to learn a musical instrument. Step 6. Head over to justinguitar.com and start reading (again). This will get you started. Rock on.
ASquared007- Thanks so much I appreciate it so much. So the neck may be warped? How and why does that happen for? Like I said I want to know everything. If you could be the person I come to with questions then I would appreciate that as well.
Steve Mason Just a guess. Depending on the conditions it is in (humidity levels, how it was stored, etc), the neck may or may not be warped. Have it set up and checked out by a luthier. If you have questions, just ask. I'll help where I can. \m/
ASquared007 - Thanks Brother I appreciate it. I've been so busy lately working. I got a job at Walmart for the next 30 days for the remodel. I hope after the remodel I will get to stay on. I am hoping to get a couple of guitars with the money I make. And find a good guitar teacher. I've been taking lessons from Justin Sandercoe on RUclips.
Steve Mason Glad to help. Justin is where I started, too. Once you get a little theory under your belt, check out Andrew Wasson. Fantastic teacher. He will take you to the next level.
Do you recommend these amps? I know theyre for high gain and metal... but i wanna be able to play really clean cleans and have jazz sounds...blue sounds...metal sounds...
This has more high gain tones while the normal was has more clean type stuff. The Thr10x is clearly good enough to cover all bases. I have really dirty metal type tones and nice clean U2 vibe stuff. Its great!
