- How to replace the check valve and cover on your Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner.
The wand handle has been engineered and tested to last the lifetime of your machine in normal domestic use. However if you ever need to replace it - for example, due to accidental damage - this is quick and easy to do, simply follow the steps in our video guide.
Step 1. Remove your machine from the dock and stand upright.
Step 2. Remove the battery to access the check valve by pressing the release buttons on either side of the battery and sliding down.
Step 3. Undo the screw on the check valve cover and remove both the screw and cover.
Step 4. The valve is located behind the cover, pull to remove it. A small amount of water may come out, use a cloth to catch any.
Step 5. Push the replacement check valve into the machine.
Step 6. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.
Step 7. Refit the battery into the machine.

Why we need to change this check valve ? what is it for?
The check valve has been engineered and tested to last the lifetime of your machine in normal domestic use. However if replacement is ever needed in the event of a breakdown, this video guide shows how to fit the replacement part.
