@@motivatedtravel I got the S6 Switch latelly and the only thing to commnet is the battery life which is way more good than Dyson. The rest is just flawless. Materials feels just like Apple kinda off...
Not sure why you emptied the tray in the sink, the solid pieces go in the bin and the dirty water down the sink, by Dysons advert, that's the whole point of the separation process.
I've got a solids catcher in the sink plug hole, so I'm just used to doing it that way with dirty plates, pans, etc. I also didn't know what was in the bin when I was walking over there on camera, lol.
Thanks I think I'll buy the tineco s7 instead. I really was not impressed with this. Dyson is relying in their name brand here. I have Dyson everything - but this was not impressive at all.
None of my beds are on hardwood so couldn't test this use case. But if it's a high enough frame to get a spare mattress under then the Dyson Wash G1 should fit
It's so overpriced considering a) doesn't vacuum, b) just does hard floors, c) can't get cleaning solution for it, d) the dock doesn't charge meaning you have to manually plug it in each time, and e) the four brushes tangle with hair, then the debris tray with separate components, dirt tank and its lid plus components have to cleaned by hand every time. Plenty of other brands have been doing it better for far longer.
@motivatedtravel Interesting. Must be the way the display unit at the shop I work at is set up. Either way, I hate having to demonstrate it... By far the most painful of the floor washers to clean up after.
While it may not matter to them, Dyson is losing me as a customer. I’m tired of paying premium prices for products made with cheap, flimsy materials that leave much to be desired in terms of innovation and improvement. Take the cord management issue in this review, for instance - I expected a company like Dyson to consider every detail. I do like my Supersonic hair dryer; it’s solid. But my V15, while functional, feels poorly made and lacks durability. It even causes blisters on my thumb because no thought was put into creating a comfortable grip. It’s details like these that make a difference. I also purchased one of their fans, but I returned it immediately - the entire thing was flimsy plastic with weak airflow.
I thought I was the only one using it wrong and ending up with a thumb blister! Same problem with poor quality material too. My hard floor attachment is held together by 3 pieces of tape.
lol there literally a note pointing to the edge cleaning side. And you used the wrong side for edges twice...Just saying. One side goes all the way to the edge the other doesn't. If you keept that in mind you can basically reach everything. If you read that I have another question - how long does it take to recharge the battery?
Yep, not sure how I missed it. I think it's because I went around the house clockwise each time - must be my OCD. Sorry, I don't recall the charge time. 35-minutes was more than enough to do a run around my house, so I was never waiting for it, if that makes sense.
@@sarakaster Yep, I can understand that would be a key consideration. Was just trying to find an answer on it online, but nothing concrete. I don't feel like it was that long. Sadly, Dyson have taken the unit back, so I can't test for you.
My tineco s3 is way better than this. It has a vacuum, has a sensor that tells you if the dirty water tank is full of solid materials. The sensor also optimizes performance, by ramping up/down depends on how dirty the floor is, makes battery usage efficient. Tineco is way cheaper as well, has more value for your money imo. I still love my dyson cordless and corded dry vacuum cleaner.
Dyson who ditched his dedicated staff in the UK to join the gravy train with outsourced, cheap labour to maximize profits is the whole reason I will never purchase his overpriced garbage. $700 for a hard floor cleaner.! There are mugs out there who would part with their hard earned money just for it's brand name. Just like Apple.
The original Hizero is an inferior product to this and has tons of praise. It also retailed for $700 USD originally. It’s a lot cheaper now and still provides separation of solids and liquid. You should check it out.
Having bought Dyson products before, I would avoid with a barge pole. You will have nothing but problems with them, especially the new products. Trust me I bought their cordless vacuum and there have been problem after problem.

Hizero retailed for $700 USD initially for the first gen model. Companies price because they know people will buy. I still think it’s way too expensive, but Hizero and now Dyson are the only ones that separate solid from liquid making cleaning so much easier than current mainstream models that are a pain to clean afterwards.

Not it dries on its own. It did not seem to take long to dry.
Do you know if the machine forces you to change the rollers?
Concerned about the cost for roller replacements. It's pricey.
I don't think it forces you, just when you're use case wears them out. Mine didn't look too good after that egg shell, lol.
So it doesn’t work on carpets or rugs at all?
No... not unless you want it to get wet.
No wayy ! You should try the Tineco One Floor S5, S6 … years light away
Actually got the S7 Steam in at the moment for review.
@@motivatedtravel I got the S6 Switch latelly and the only thing to commnet is the battery life which is way more good than Dyson. The rest is just flawless. Materials feels just like Apple kinda off...
Great review but i still prefer Shark
What makes the Shark stand out for you?
Not sure why you emptied the tray in the sink, the solid pieces go in the bin and the dirty water down the sink, by Dysons advert, that's the whole point of the separation process.
I've got a solids catcher in the sink plug hole, so I'm just used to doing it that way with dirty plates, pans, etc. I also didn't know what was in the bin when I was walking over there on camera, lol.
Thanks I think I'll buy the tineco s7 instead. I really was not impressed with this. Dyson is relying in their name brand here. I have Dyson everything - but this was not impressive at all.
I just got in the Tineco actually, so looking forward to seeing the difference between the two!
@@motivatedtravel I loved your review btw. Very practical and straight forward. A torture test and honest. Will subscribe
@@atg4469 Thank you, I really appreciate the kind words!
Ho, nobody is showing how it workshop under forniture like the bed. Does the width allow to clean under it for instance? Thanks
Don't disagree that it's over-priced, but I believe the dock does charge it.
@motivatedtravel Interesting. Must be the way the display unit at the shop I work at is set up. Either way, I hate having to demonstrate it... By far the most painful of the floor washers to clean up after.
How many DB's sound?
Omg its sounds like a jet engine... Too loud...
I didn't think it was too bad. No worse than the others I've used. Although I did expect it to be better given no suction.
Yeah I think these are fair points. I noticed a number of the finer details that you might expect as "premium" were missing.
I thought I was the only one using it wrong and ending up with a thumb blister! Same problem with poor quality material too. My hard floor attachment is held together by 3 pieces of tape.
@@SivaranjaniKapali That's no good!
how does this machine perform on rough/uneven floors such as natural stone?
My floor isn't massively uneven, but the natural stone in the bathroom seemed to clean ok, and it got into the grout a bit when you turned up to Max.
Bro what in the Randy blue into
Sorry, i don't understand this question?
lol there literally a note pointing to the edge cleaning side.
@@motivatedtravel Thank you. It's just that I might take longer runtime than that and therefore thinking about getting a 2nd battery pack.
@@sarakaster Yep, I can understand that would be a key consideration. Was just trying to find an answer on it online, but nothing concrete. I don't feel like it was that long. Sadly, Dyson have taken the unit back, so I can't test for you.
@@motivatedtravelNo worries. Thanks for your response - much appreciated! As well as your video!
Chris needs to give RUclips auto-subtitles a good wack'n. It says "Good day Humans Chris Dead here"....
Lol, yep! Happens a lot!
No suction won't clean soap, leaves soapy edges need to keep emptying foamy soap constantly
As in, won't clean a soapy mess, or you put soap in the water cannister?
I couldn't handle living in a house with that much dog hair everywhere. It's too much to even keep on top of really.😬
Yeah it's a pain. But it only happens twice a year when he sheds on season change. Usually it's ok.
io preferisco utilizzare ancora lo straccio 100×100 cotone che poi metto in lavatrice a 60 gradi
Fair enough
You need hearing protection when using that 😂
It's louder than I would have thought for a water-only device, but it's not louder than a typical vacuum.
Mate how did the Sultanas, Honey , Egg shake tastes 😂
Hahaha, I should have given it a go!
It has a lot of noise. Isn't it?
It's not as quiet as I thought it would be given there's no suction, but I didn't think it was louder than a vacuum.
Compared to my plug in Bissel steam version its quiet
Their design and function are great. Their material choices are garbage. The cheapest power tools you can find use more durable plastics.
Seems to be a common assessment from what I'm hearing!
For $300 more you can buy a eufy x1, a real robotic mop system and not even have to do it yourself🤷
Lol, that's a fair point!!!!
I just set up the Tineco S7 Steam for some testing. Heard plenty of good things, look for a review soon. Keen to see how it compares!
Overpriced nonsense
It would have been nice to see it just a bit cheaper.
How does this compare to the Dyson V15s Submarine?
Sorry I haven't used the V15, but hopefully another member of the community knows and can get back to you.
For £600 I am not impressed. Dyson does claim that it is a vacuum and floor washer.
Well it seems to suck up things like dog hair, but it does use air suction like a traditional vacuum.
Sure are a lot of Dyson fans ou there!
The original Hizero is an inferior product to this and has tons of praise. It also retailed for $700 USD originally. It’s a lot cheaper now and still provides separation of solids and liquid. You should check it out.
That’s alright, buddy…Americans love Dyson products and buy them with pride.
You’re not wrong, but almost every company is doing that now.
Just don’t be broke 🤷
$1000 are you freaking mad 😮
Yeah, they don't come cheap.
Having bought Dyson products before, I would avoid with a barge pole.
You will have nothing but problems with them, especially the new products.
Trust me I bought their cordless vacuum and there have been problem after problem.
That's not good to hear. I haven't had this issue personally, but would be interested in hearing other people's thoughts.
@@motivatedtravel you have to wait at least 3 years, as this time period is needed for them to improve the product and correct common faults. But even this period is not always long enough. In my opinion Dyson have great marketing but the products are mediocre at best.
I agree. I have a few Dyson products.
@@billkhan1154Nonsense. You're just getting lemons. I've had zero problems with their cordless vaccums
@@billkhan1154 Appreciate the feedback on your experience!
Karcher already got this year's ago , we need suction u can't clean without suction n this uses the rollers only no suction, y would anyone buy this over a half price bissel when the bissel is perfect
I don't know, it didn't a good job in the tests I did in this video. Better than I expected. But yeah, doesn't mean it's the ideal price.
I have had mine for a week. My floor has never been cleaner.
@@susancox-v9v Good to hear!
@susancox-v9v ok that's good but did u ever try the bissel roller cleaner vac that picks up water dirty as if u were scrubbing the floor with a mop it's much better than this overpriced garbage, dyson is today making his crap in cheaper countries means it cost him fk all to make only thing he pays more for is the initial research that's it, yet he is selling us utter rubbish twice price of everything else and this crap got absolutely no suction
Kuhlman Fall
Halliday Point
I think it’s too complicated 😅😅
Definitely not it's issue, lol.
600 quid... wtf
Expensive, but on point with many of the competitors in terms of price. As mentioned in the video, I think it should be a little bit cheaper given its feature-set.
Wunsch Course
I'm sorry, I don't understand?
Dysons are garbage. Get the tineco S7 pro.
Reviewing the S7 Pro Steam as we speak, thoughts coming soon!
First
Indeed!
@@motivatedtravel Ive just got the Roborock Flexi Pro - I didnt even realise Dyson had released one..But I must say I think the Roborock has the edge with the self cleaning base with hot water + blow drys the rollers + it vacuums and its cheaper
It clearly says “Edge Cleaning” and has an arrow showing you to use that side of the machine to clean edges.
@@Albertthedachs Well look at that, it does, too! I didn't even pick up it only being one edge that gets close. I honestly was circling my house in the other direction, Needed to go anti-clockwise. How much closer have you noticed it gest on that edge?
@@itking7360 I haven't used that one at home yet. But it did look impresive in the initial demos. Isn't it $999 as well though?
16:20 dude, bad enough you admit you didn't clean the tray before the "test", you don't even know you're supposed to REMOVE the red tray from the base to clean it, not leave it on where crap can stay lodged underneath between the two sections o.O
This is not how to "review" something when you don't even know how to use the product.
Sorry you had such a rough experinece. I've been reviewing product for 30-years and I'm comortable with my approach. I actually use the products before I review them extensively and these are honest opinions from a regular parent using them for real: I'm not interested in faking reality to meet some mystery standard. As for your red tray comment, this is the way the Dyson representative showed me how to clean it and it worked for me.
I feel like you're focusing on something very minor and irrelevant to the verdict.
Looks like its not that great.
It's simplicity is nice, but I think it's a bit over-priced.
