Love Sam .. Wish we could have seen all her gymnastics in the Olympics.
Always love to watch these legends again and again 😍🙏
thank you so much for posting these!!
Glad you like them!
Chelsie e seu pai a dupla mais linda
Chow e SHAWN um amor 😍
Do you have day 2 and the 2016 Olympic trials day 1 and 2?
Love this video, GYMFAN.
These are the noisiest bars ever.
OMG THANK YOUUU!!!!
where can we find day 2?
3:17 one of the best executed illusion turns. ur welcome
Are you going to post day 2
Gymnastics,rocks
She probably would have been 2-per-countried, but I bet a healthy Samantha Peszek could have contended for a beam medal.
The look in Nastia’s eyes at 1:02:10 says it all. She knows exactly who she is.
Watched the all-around women’s gymnastics today from 2024. They scored much much higher back in 2008. However, I thought Biles is completing routines that are much more difficult than back then. Did something change?
And Chelsie is now BACK at it training for 2021 Olypics or Worlds!!!!!
Lol olympics OR worlds... hopefully olympics.
Agreed
Do you know why she stopped? I was watching her train and complete then she seemed to stop out of no where. I never heard why.
@@NYLI11 I'm sure she stopped when the job with USAG came up (right after Tom Forester left). She's part of the new lead (I think it's technical something or other)? I forget what the title exactly is.
Why doesn't anyone have 2008 Day 2 trials?
The bars are squeaking. It's annoying
Nastia's routines
Vault 7:58
Bars 14:04
Beam 41:41
Floor 1:0148
What kept Shayla Worley off the olympic team? I assume back injury?
I remember seeing pictures of her coming out in a wheelchair at the Karolyi camp, which suggests she got injured at camp right after trials. So many injuries in that horrid place, to think what these athletes must have gone through there.
Dear RUclips, the subtitles are very poor quality transcribed.
At 1:09:59 you can hear Tim say “DAMN” in regards to Sacramone’s vault on the replay 😂
I think he said “bam” 😂
He always says "BAM" and that's what he said here. Or Kerpow!
I was at this competition and the recording does NOT do justice to how high Alicia flew on vault! I was stunned seeing it in person and even now, a decade and a half later, I remember being in total awe.
I love Nastia but I hate when they say the front flip to one leg was Nastia's original move and she came up with it on her own. It was done by a Romanian gymnast in the 2007 worlds during the team and BB finals.
@@airtonpaiva5389 Look up Steliana Nistor 2007 world championships beam finals. Nastia won those beam finals if I remember correctly. And after watching Nistor in those beam finals, Nastia went home and perfected that move and debuted it at the 2008 American Cup and told everyone that she came up with it all on her own 😳🤦♀️
Lozechko for the Russians did it in 2006 in the same world championship nastia was in as well.
Right and that’s why it’s not named after her
@@coll4455It actually was called the Liukin but they stopped recognising that skill as a D skill in later codes. Instead of being a D skill, it would count as a C+A skill
@@coll4455it is recognized after her and it’s named the luikin, clown
Chelise Beam!!!! Holy hell
I would love for Tim to define "piece of air" one of these days.
Nastia seems to get over scored quite a bit. How did she get that execution score on beam with that dismount??
Favoritism and politics
Every meet like the national competitions in America were overscored back then compare their scores to Beijing
Firewood luv ok luv
Big gang ok luv
No one's bars are as overscored as Nastia's. Her dismount was a 0.3 leg separation, 0.1 flexed feet, 0.5 squat (really a fall but whatever they counted it as her landing it), a 0.3 step, and honestly a body posture fault. Her dismount had a minimum of 1.2 in deductions alone. It's insane that she ever won medals with her dismount and especially that that routine got a 9.0 E score
They were very lenient even by 2008 standards. She would have been lucky to break an 8.0 E-score under the current Code.
Isn't there a limit of deductions for a skill competed without a fall? I thought it was like 0.8. I could easily be wrong though.
@@johannas5622 The rule is the landing deduction specifically can't be more than 0.8 if they don't fall. Other deductions like flexed feet or separated legs can be added on
@@Lana2k6 I get that but they were especially with her. Shawn had bent arms but that was basically it and she had lower E scores consistently
You also have to remember the judges site on the SIDE. They prob'ly don't see the leg separation on her dismount
60 fps is already bad enough for gymnastics now at 30 might as well watch a slideshow.
I wish someone would go thru all these old comps and delete all images, and every mention if the Karoyli's. I don't even live in the US and I want to erase them from my mind for all the damage they did to this sport
Disagree. Good or bad - they were a major influence on the outcomes during their years. Society learns little from erasing things - we need to acknowledge and grow. And we cannot acknowledge if we just delete it.
6:15 Ok elfi... white supremacist “And Bridget has a look that is almost a European style, the international look”
oh my god
Heather Parisi hi karen
@@liceous ???? i was agreeing with you
I don't know for sure. Only because in 2012, Marta kept saying Kyla had the international look. I think it has to do with lines, specifically with the uneven bars.
@@zb6070 it has to do with being stick thin lol
