I use Bibliomancy with my charms. I get the online client to choose their page number eg between page 11-221. Then I sprinkle 3 charms over the page. The words they land on and the way the land have significance. I use my "Find Your Sparkle" Book which is a beautiful book to use And then for something fun I also sometimes use my big "Mythical Creatures and Folklore" Bible.
That's so bizarre I do this and I didn't even know what it was called. I mostly do it with tarot books, the Bible and other religious books like Psalms, and the Gospels! Now I am making my own. I love it!
I have used something similar for several years. Instead of black card stock, I use black paper - not as thick. Also, for some of the quotes, I take pictures that seem to resonate with the quote and include them. That way when I look at a particular page, the meaning jumps out. For example, for a quote about fear, I have a picture of a bison charging that I took in Yellowstone. Just food for thought.
Thank you, I am definitely going to look into finding some black paper that isn't so thick! I do love the idea of adding in images that way as well, I am sure it is going to continue to develop and transform now that the base is there :D
I can't wait to do this as a disk notebook. That way you can flip around the sections easier and have any page be the beginning or end page. This is brilliant and I LOVE it.
@@TheTruthinStory ya, I think I'll try a few dividers the same size as the page protectors. Randomly putting them throughout would reinforce the notebook and create different "covers"... does that make sense? 😉😄
Loved this so much, and may give it a try in this format. My regular journals are done in a kind of "commonplace book" scrapbooky style (with quotes, images, random 'stuff') and I do use them for bibliomancy - but this has inspired me to try something a bit more specific. Thank you (and Jamie) for the inspiration!!!
Really like this idea that I’d never heard of formally, although I used to open my own Big Book of Emily Dickinson’s poems to a random page each day and journal on the message it spoke to me. Very cool. Thanks!
This is brilliant!! I don’t know that I’ll ever get around to making one of my own but just listening to you talk about this with great passion makes me happy. So there is hope lol 🤗💗📖
Yes this is a wonderful idea Kelly. I needed a project & I can have my mom help as well. I have some books I wanted to donate. I can use a few of those book. Then donate the others thanks for sharing 😊
I wonder if bibliomancy can be used as a sort of 3-dimensional Ouija board? So, for example, using The History of the World by Roberts & Westad, might it be possible to be guided to land on the words RasPUTIN....WILLiam the Conqueror...the DIEt of Worms...?
Another fun thing to do is to create poems from them. I was inspired by a poet name WS Graham. He used automatic writing to write his work. 🙏🏾🖤

I use The Spiral Dance by Starhawk for bibliomancy. Or the Tao the Ching.
I done stuff like this since I was a child... but I was today-years-old when I learned that it has a name... BIBLIOMANCY.
Thank you and Miss Jamie.
Our child-selves know so much :D ::HUGS::

Great idea. I have a blank book I could write some of my favorite quotes in. Cool project.

This would be amazing done in a junk journal or an altered book. I love this idea.
Yessss! That would be amazing!
That's a good idea.
'Women who run with Wolves' by Clarissa Estes is my fav book to do this with. Also, just an amazing book in general.
Agreed, that would be a good one indeed!

I did think of that and wondered if the “spine” would get in the way but it would be no different then a binder!

Very much so, I would love to see what you end up doing!
I like disc binders because they're so customizable. I don't find them easy to flip, though. They tend to get hung up and you have to coax them along.
My Reiki friend uses Dr. Suess' books .

Hello Ms. Carol, I love the sound of your journals for geomancy! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

I think it could be worth trying :D
