Cloud Rat's new album Threshold reveals the confidence and 'bubbling anxiety' of the grind trio

Rorik Brooks, guitarist in Michigan grindsters Cloud Rat, joins Jon "StayPuft" Garcia and Cori Westbrook on KNOTFEST's Pulse of the Maggots.
Rorik talks about the writing process for the band's new album Threshold, and how even though they couldn't create it in-person together, it was still the most confident they'd felt as a band. Though there was a lot to be inspired by, this turns into the 'bubbling anxiety' you hear on the record. There's also insight into the drowning lyrical motifs throughout the album, and Cloud Rat's experience at this year's Roadburn Festival.
