- Slipknot kicked off their 25th Anniversary Tour tonight in Noblesville, Indiana. The celebration features a full North America tour capped with Knotfest Iowa before the band hits Knotfest Brasil, Knotfest Argentina and Knotfest Chile with a few headlining shows in Latin America.
The band carries the celebration tour to Europe and UK to close out the year before a to be announced date at Knotfest Australia in 2025

I’d say better if we’re talking sound quality. They got the arena tour budget for top of the line touring sound and lighting. Back then they were doing a lot of opening gigs and early to mid day festival slots on small second stages with not so great front of house guys at the helm. Like the ozzfest 99 show. And the shows around those first couple years, the second one I saw was only a few months later in a place that only had a max capacity of 1000 people, was way too small to to handle a band that loud. Actually that was the Croation Cultural Centre in Vancouver which for some reason got a lot of all ages shows. I actually played there in a couple different bands. And was the last place I got to see Dime and Vinny perform with damageplan about a month before that all went down.
Fuck, I digress, in places that size I’m sure their onstage mixes would have been horrendous, probably only used wedge monitors, no in ears, which would have been quite the challenge for 9 dudes on a small stage fighting to hear anything. But man; did they make up for it in raw intensity and maniacal mayhem. Especially with the 1999 lineup, when they walked out at ozzfest 99, they just took over by storm. I still feel bad for the poor bastards who had the next couple slots after them lol
this is a once in a lifetime setlist, they will never do this again, we are in for a treat. cant wait to see them this saturday. will be my third time seeing the knot!!!!
I completely agree I've been into the knot for a few years now and a chance to see the OG suits and vibe will be crazy. I'm also seeing them for my third time this year at knotfest Iowa I'm Soo hype🔥🔥

This was my first concert ever ....which I attended last night ❤️ this was my childhood dream which I finally lived it yesterday. Slipknot forever 🤍✨ god knows the amount of years and work it has taken for me to attend their concert that too with the VIP experience. I love you slipknot 🫂❤️🐏
How I wish I was there. Love the self titled album, the masks, the red jumpsuits and all the weird creepy sounds in that album.

I seen there show in New Hampshire last week I seen them at ozzfest 99 when they first came out and I’ve seen the multiple times since then. He/they sounded the best I’ve ever heard them sound the other night hands down, it was a fkn awesome show.

I just saw them in Philly (well Camden). They did the same set. It was back to their original shit. No crazy theatrics. Some laser lights and awesome music.
The album is my favorite of all time… but if they only play those songs all tour I’ll be disappointed, they gotta play the other stuff too I feel like.
They recently had people vote for what they wanted to see on the set list and it was songs from almost their entire discography, hopefully that means they plan to change it up a bit from show to show.
Why would they advertise it as the 25th anniversary tour and not play the full album 🤣

Bullet For My Valentine are playing their whole album live and then some other songs after for their anniversary tour. Why can’t slipknot do the same? Pricey tickets and a short show is quite disappointing

I know this is an anniversary tour, but I hope that their next album is more like the first two.
Look Outside Your Window is their next album (releasing some point this year I believe) and its a bunch of songs recorded around the same time as AHIG that were more experimental and sounded more rock than their other songs

funny how every bit of banter was scripted. I had a lot of fun at the show, but its kinda funny that every thing he said in between songs was word for word the same each show.

They just play too much songs from this album on standard tours but here it's good they played deep cuts. They should play more deep cuts live, from AHIG half songs were played once or never.
