my other acoustic had two pegs, so i didnt realize they could come with only the one. this helped me attach my pretty strap to my new resonator and it's honestly way more comfortable this way. i'll be doing the same with my other guitar too
Dude I've played drums in bands since I was 11, and I am a pretty good guitar player, now looking towards the bass, but I had NO idea how to do that for my 15 year old son... Lol. Thanks man.
Congratulations, because your method makes more sense than the instructions that Levy's straps and Couch straps give. Thier method basically consists of "put the string through the hole on the strap and tie it around the headstock." I was looking through different instructions and videos to see if anyone does it the way I do, haven't found any. Perhaps I should make a video.
I was so confused cos my guitar only had one peg and so I had no idea how to put the strap on,. So I just haven't used the strap on it for like four years, until finally today I decided to actually google how to do it lol
@@texmex321 for me when I bought a strap it came with a string too but any old string will do as long as you trust it will fit and won't break. also if you play the guitar well no one will be paying attention to it anyways
Wrong. You should never attach the strap to the guitar head. It should be on each side of the guitar body. If it is on the head then you are constantly pulling on the neck and it also gets in the way when you chord.
For anyone; once, I tried to attach a strap like that and I found two things. 1. The pull on the neck made my guitar out of tune. 2. The strap at the neck interfered with my playing in first position chords.
Lmao I was so confused what to do with the sting that came with my guitar. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to start learning!!!
You got this!

Question... My strap has a smaller and large end. Which end should be pushed over the bottom guitar bolt? The large one? Or does it matter?
Thanks 😃 that was so helpful
Thank you! :)
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thanks....
Mine didn't come with a string but I have an extra shoelace, would it work?
Lmao I'm brand new to guitar so idk if I'm the best reference but as long as its strong enough to hold the guitar I dont see why it wouldnt work
Not the best but should work
@Red viking Great idea!
Thank you:)
Anyone use a shoelace with any old strap for an acoustic?
Yep :D
My friend made fun of me for using a shoe lace to attach guitar strap. Is there a more ‘official’ way of putting the strap on the acoustic????

Oh! So I can use some old shoe string. lol! Thanks. :)
thanx
thankyou for your help..
My guitar doesn't have the thing at the bottom. What do I do?
Uhhh... you add one? If you're not confident in drilling it, then take it to your near guitar/music shop.
Mine was too big
Damn dude so that's how you do it I was confused
I'm sorry but it's still kinda hard how to see how you make that knot... I wish there was a closer view of the string tying.
I love the fact that the strap I got is a foot shorter than this and doesn’t reach the neck on any guitar
Disregard this I’m an idiot
Mine didn't come with a string
I have no idea that how it so easy to put a strap 🤦🤦🤦 thanks bruh thats a helpful video, gonna buy a guitar with a pin in his body attached 🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦🔥💯💯💯
Have one bought it on Amazon for 10 bucks js
where? send us a link
Damn I don’t know what happens to my string
sorry but that was confusing as you went too fast thru the basic step .. and once it's on the strap is too close to the neck

Simply not true its totally a matter of preference
😅😅😅😅🤡🤦🏻♀️
