    • @marionsworld24
      @marionsworld24  4 месяца назад +1

      It's because both strands are twisted the same way...so they end up twisting around each other..
      Have a look at some garden string.. it's the same process exactly.
      Or..the same as when your thread twists up whilst you're stitching. You have to keep untwisting your thread to keep it smooth.

I get so many compliments on it from all ages and sorts of people. I am always looking for projects to use my twine yarn for. I like your idea of using it as a necklace - I have some sari silk yarn and a few lovely lampwork beads that need to come out into the world. And, I'm looking forward to watching your shoes video. I love this! Thank you!! If your creative juices think of another bird sculpture, will you make us a tutorial of a similar project as your messenger crow? He is absolutely gorgeous- I would LOVE to see how you made him! 💕♥️💕

    Oh this was another great tutorial. It’s so nice how you can make them any thickness depending on the width & type of fabric you use. So to end it would you just tie a simple knot?

    • @marionsworld24
      @marionsworld24  4 месяца назад +2

      I usually leave the ends unknotted whilst i'm making the twine (I just wrap the two strips of fabric around the ball). But once I'm using it for something I put a few stitches in each end to secure the two strips. The knot is then optional depending on the look you're going for.

    LOVE the thrifted silk scarf! Wondering how a satin or grosgrain ribbon would look🤔🤔🤔👍🌹

      You'd have to try it, but I suspect it would be too stiff at the edges. 😏 But...that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try and see what happens!

      Both methods are good. The twine is identical too. I'm just giving you a different option in how to make it where you don't have to be holding it all the time keeping it from unraveling... I hope it works for you 🤞
