- Tesla's Ambitious Giga Berlin Plans Are Facing a Major Roadblock Impacting Production. Environmentalists are throwing a wrench into Elon Musk's plans at Tesla's Giga Berlin electric vehicle manufacturing plant! They are trying to stop the expansion of Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin. Can Tesla win over the protestors or will their dream factory be stalled?
Production at Tesla Giga Berlin will stop after the late shift on Wednesday and resume with a late shift on Sunday, and access to the plant will only be available if a manager approves it, according to Handelsblatt, who first reported the story:
“No access to the site or the factory is possible without the explicit instructions and approval of your manager.”

The impact is about the production. The Model Y production schedule now will change because Giga Berlin will be stopped for 4 days.

From what I read, these forests were man-made forests, to make economic zone one day. However, I agree, that it would be great if they built it in such a place, which didn't require Tesla to destroy the environment to build its electric cars.
