“ that is a wandering spider on my face”!!! I think you are the only person in the world who would say that with a smile on your face and joy in your heart! Thanks for all you are teaching me and showing us!
Thank you, Jack! I’ve been telling people the exact same thing all my life; if you don’t threaten spiders, they won’t bite you. The wandering spider gets so much bad hype that even I didn’t realize that they’re just as docile as any other spider. And I’m an entomologist! Your work is opening eyes even for us arachnophiles.
Well, like every 5th of them bites on contact, and the venom is no joke. Once they are in defensive state, they wont backup. So it is dangerous, if you for example not see them and acidentially touch them.
they've been known to jump TWO FEET to bite you. They will literally run up a broom stick you're wielding to whack it just to bite you. The first whack wont even kill it. If you're a dude it's extra bad news. You don't really want to be anywhere near one of these. Oh, and not all Phoneutria are created equal.☠
Jack, wow what a experience with that beautiful animal. She was so docile and unaffraid of you. She feels your loving vibes and walked away as cool as she can be. Thanks !
I'm 48 my dude and studied entomology. I already knew what you said about the "evilness" of these beautiful creatures. But for the youngest generations, you CAN be a TRUE model. You deserve the best! 👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful spider. So docile. When I first watched one of your videos letting a black widow crawl on your face, I was freaked out, got physically sick. Watching you handle spiders over ,and over, now I enjoy this. Thanks so much.
Although there is a risk in handling this spider, as it could bite, even unprovoked, Jack is trying to show that hurting you is not the nature of this awesome creature.
Wandering spiders are literally legendary, I am so happy you were able to find one of these spiders after the insane amount of work that you put in. Even though that individual was one of the most placid arachnids I’ve ever seen, putting her on your face is still intense to watch. I really liked how much you drove the message in this video home, Phoneutria get vilified so much and this video is a great resource in defense of these animals. Excellent work!
Jack you have proven once again that you are truly the animal whisperer, and your love for nature knows no bounds.Thank you for allowing us to watch you handling one of the most deadly spiders in the world with love not fear🕷️🕸️
Simply incredible. Jack continuing to show the world that these wonderful creatures are greatly misrepresented and misunderstood. If this spider was being handled by anyone else I think my anxiety would have gone through the roof. Great stuff as always Jack. Keep up the great work.
Theyre not misunderstood. People dont get bit like this. If he didnt see it and stuck his hand in those leaves, its gonna bite. Obviously hes a professional and knows what hes doing. Theres no misinformation

Jack you never cease to amaze me my friend. Once again you have proven even some of the most aggressive and venomous species are not that bad after all. I have to admit when you picked up that gorgeous girl my heart rate started to go up and I actually was in a little bit of fear for you my friend but you proven it once again. Awesome stuff Jack and thank you so much for the great educational experience. Be safe as always and have a great day.
I still don’t understand how Jake is not viral!! By far the best dude to watch next to Steve Erwin!! Thank Jake for being so informative about the wonderful creepy crawly world we live in 🤘🏼🤘🏼
11:40 can you please change the batteries in your smoke detector??? Joking aside, great video! I'm someone who's got arachnophobia, but I've been trying to get over it through education and exposure, and your channel is definitely helping with that. I've even got a small spider friend who has made its home in the top corner of my back door of my house. Been interesting observing it just allowing it to stay there and live its life. Thanks for all that you do!

Great job with the show and awesome job at teaching others about how important the wildlife really is and taking care of the planet really is we need many more like you!!!
Damn, not only demonstrating courage but also being educational at the same time. This is super impressive that you handled one of the more toxic and fiesty spiders calmly while keeping the spider calm with your energy and movements. I wouldn't be surprised if you could do that with even the Sidney Funnel Web. Incredibly impressive! Also, it's fantastic to see your channel starting to take off as it should. Continue the march to 100K!

Not that I believe they are bad or anything but just by the "threat" of their bite and toxicity. You are an amazing embassador for all the species that are misunderstood and a guy with steel nerves!!! I admire your work, your knowledge and your courage. Keep it up!!!
