    The Superquadro is a beautiful engine! I rebuilt my 1299 panigale engine last year during the pandemic and it’s certainly more complex to work on than most inline 4 cylinder engines! I’ve noticed the upper rod shell bearings really get worn out when the bike is used on track! I’m running the bike with a H20 performance wsbk radiator now with dedicated oil cooler so I’m interested to see how the bearings look with a lower oil temp when I next rebuild it this year!

      Any Updates?

    • @serialgolfer
      @serialgolfer Год назад +3

      @@chrisv-l3835 yeah the bike has run well for the last 2 years after I refreshed it. But I will probably rebuild it next year as the engine has 20000miles on it and 10000 are track miles. I will rebuild with new pistons next year!

    • @yoonracing7739

      thank you for a good advice serialgolfer~ you know what is ~ in korea H2O radiator is too expensive~ so I always recommend to my customers but not come to happen~

    • @serialgolfer
      @serialgolfer Год назад +2

      @@yoonracing7739 yes it’s a very expensive option I have to say. But it has made a big difference to operating temperatures of the bike! This year in mugello the air temps with 36c and the coolant never went above 88c. Where as with the standard radiator it was at 100c with the fan constantly on in 25c air temps. So if the bike is solely used for track and will experience warmer air temps it is a useful upgrade!

      @@serialgolfer Thanks for the valuable feedback. My 1199 has done nearly 40000 miles but %99 of that is road. So im looking at a rebuild soon especialy if I want to do more track days. I'm not bad with most of it but dont have any of the special ducati tools yet.
