    Great review, got one a year and a half ago. Invaluable tool. I debated the cost with myself for a year before deciding to buy. I love mine. Doesn’t take up much room and very strong.

    Thanks for sharing. I've looked at the vice several times online but never invested. My fear was how secure the ball was. I have the Tipton, which is fine for cleaning. But it falls short for gunsmithing. It looks like plastic, which also made me shy away. I'm in a tighter space, so the Inline system is a godsend. Great review, sir!

    Thanks for the demonstration, One thing I gained from working with multi position vices is the .360 Deg rule, It is best that you have the vice mounted on a work surface that has no obstruction (Because of the length of the piece) like a wall behind it at the back edge of the bench. this gives you the freedom of positioning the piece right in front of you in any position that is needed without having to remount the piece to work on the other side or the back or front of the piece, the piece can be positioned to work around you, and not you working around the piece. If you have the room, it is best that you have a free standing bench to mount the vice on. anyway, that's my two cents to get the most that the vice will offer you. Peace - Dave

    • @viejo2a
      @viejo2a  2 месяца назад

      Thanks Dave. The ball joint on this vice mitigates the necessity of having room behind it. One simply moves the rig forward, rotate through the vertical dimension, then back. No need for free standing, which I have no room for. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

      @@viejo2a Walter, that came from my experience as a apprentice in industrial fabrication. Sheet metal, welding, pipefitting, assembly and disassembly of components pumps, valves and such. I offered my Opinion based on working with such vices. I thought hat I made that clear.

    • @viejo2a
      @viejo2a  2 месяца назад

      @@thorsaxe5881 I got it Dave. I’m just saying that this vice is 360 in all dimensions, allowing me to rotate it to the best working position without it being hampered by obstructions getting in the way of rotating. If it would rotate just in the horizontal dimension, I would encounter the exact problem you describe, and the utility of the vice would be no better than any other 360 vice. 😀

    They are very proud of their product... I am not a fan of companies that have price controls(min price that can be advertised/listed) as I feel it is not how business should be run. Let the market decide what something is worth.

      Hobbies, as you said, Reality and budget. It would be nice to have a vice like that, however, realistically, how much would I use it? everyone has different needs and some would use it more than I would. also, as you know, fine handwork is done in the hands of a firearms craftsman for the detail honing and smoothing of parts and tuning mechanisms, you simply cant achieve that when working with the piece in a vice because you have to "Feel" what you are doing. It's a good well thought out vice, but I wouldn't use it much for the price tag needed to pay for it. - Dave
