That blueberry syrup looks delicious. I will make that. How do you store it? On the shelf until you open it? After I know it’s organic so it needs to be refrigerated. 😊 I ran out of organic maple syrup, and needed a syrup for my pancakes. I have frozen blueberries in my freezer, and I want to make an organic, natural vegan syrup with them. This is a nice video. 😊
@christschild818 it's shelf stable (it's a Ball Book recipe), so once it's canned you're good to just keep it on your shelf with your other Preserves. It's very delicious! Hope you enjoy!
I saw another video where they used apple juice as a sweetener. I think I will buy some Martinelli’s pure apple juice to sweeten my natural, organic blueberry syrup. The lemons here is a good addition, and I might also try a little vanilla or almond extract in my recipe. 😊
@christschild818 I can't imagine how apple juice would substitute for sugar in terms of consistency? The sugar in this becomes the "syrup" consistency (thick like maple syrup). I also don't want to say to do that, as I'm not sure it will be safe/shelf stable by making substitutions. The vanilla extract would be fine, just not sure about the other stuff. Thanks for the comments; good luck! :)
Lol you're right that would make it jam :) there is a separate video if you'd like for that. Which is actually even better tasting (in my opinion), because it has hints of cinnamon. And in reality, you could use it that same as this! This recipe is just super super easy.

Strained Pulp can also be used as a filler added to your homemade blueberry pie filling or dehydrate it and add it to shakes/smoothies etc.

You can add a couple tablespoons of clear gel if you want a thicker syrup.
@@crystal6767 good call! I just can't get it where I am lol
You put the water and blueberries through a bullet and liquefy before putting it in the pot with the sugar?
Yes :)
That's what I do but with a Vitamix. No need for straining.
Wanted to see it how it looks pouring it out
@@kimmolenda3349 it looks like syrup with Blueberries in it
So no pectin for the syrup? I guess that would be jelly
