Best gank squad ever. These are actually fun, nice and cool invasions: four amazing and cosplayer dudes being badass and kind players. I'd wish more players to be like them...
The Sun God Gank Squad are the eternal nemesis’ of the Deacons of the Deep. Change my mind.
They use chaos spells & weapons, the Abyss & chaos factions never fight each other in the main games.
Themed ganks are about the only kind that nobody should take issue with. A lot of prep time and coordination went into trying to mercilessly put you in the ground.
@David Assébof That sounds like it's coming from a guy who does ganks on the regular. Someone who invades should not have to kill four fucking players by themselves. I'm guessing you made that comment to justify your own.

Undead arena prevents estus use, can have much longer wait times, and can't provide the same experiences you can in a normal invasion (No searching or NPCs to mix things up, no more drawn out battles across the map). People should not be expected to do 3 v 1s simply because other alternatives exist. I am not chasethebro. Other invaders are not chasethebro.

In an ideal and perfect world this wouldn't be the case, but it is what it is.

@@mihaghoraprime6263 The average player should not expect to and be able to fend off 3-4 other people. I plan on improving, and I plan on getting better, that does not entitle other people to gank whoever they come across. Just because it is a part of the game does not mean it should be accepted or tolerated.
Was fun to see you run into these guys again and again on stream, wish there were more thematic gankers like this

@ChaseTheBro, can I suggest a Playlist on the channel? All the awesome viewer gank squad vids. My favorites are the Batman Villains, The Sparta squad and that one where they had Dragon Heads, Ringed Knight outfits and fire weapons. Would love to be able to watch all those.

Honestly I believe the profaned greatsword is underrated. I was invading my buddy and I was a lower level than him and took a huge chunk of his health with the weapon art

Ganking is generally seen as a cowardly or dishonorable tactic. But every once in a while, you come across a group doing it right.
This is one of those groups. A thematic group obviously doing it not to simply frustrate invaders, but to give them a fulfilling challenge and a spectacular show. Those coordinated great chaos fire storms are cinematic af.
I wonder if anyone did an Undead Legion gank. I would like to see that

Hey Chase, I was looking into buying a controller to play souls and I have a few questions. First, if you would recommend the ps layout or the Xbox layout. Second, if playing claw grip is useful/if I should look into some back paddles or buttons for the controller.
If you want to hard swap I reccomend learning the claw grip or some version of it so you can sprint + swap. Outside of swapping just hold the controller normally it's better for your hands lol
For controllers, if you're maximum tryhard sweat an overclocked DS4 (Ps4) or Dualsense (Ps5) controllers have the least input lag. And personally I struggle controlling the left stick with my index finger on Xbox controller I much prefer using my thumb on the PlayStation controllers when hard swapping.
Chase you should so do a luck build and just see what you can do
Chase can literally be pro at any game but decides to be the best at ds3 pvp which is why hes so awesome

Unrelated to the video, but what are your thoughts on healing miracles in Undead match? Is it dishonourable or fair play?
I know this is a question for Chase but, i personally think it shouldn't be allowed, it gives so much advantage to the user.
One time i was fighting a guy after months of not playing, he was wearing full Lapp's set and was a STR build (possibly), i almost pop his Tears, then he starts being very evasive, so i just stand still and press L1 for that weapon wiggle, oh surprise surprise, he uses Great Heal, of course he kills me a minute later and yes, he points down because, why not?

Thanks for a response, yeah im conflicted with this. I was in an undead match playing against someone with a poison build. He got a poison off me and decided to play super passive, let the poison kill me. I used heal to counter it but after that the guy just ran away and refused to fight cause it was dishonourable. Understandably when you see your opponent heal you'll get annoyed, its not a fun thing to deal with in fights.
In all fairness a heal does take 3 seconds to activate and removes all user stamina so is punishable and if you see someone using a talisman you probably shouldn't play passive. But there are those who run away and heal like you say which is annoying, running away in general is kind of toxic.
Miracles are super support orientated compared to spells and pyromancy, with more buffs and heals with a trade off of having less effective offensive spells, so I think its fine to have a heal on but if you run away in order to try heal, that is toxic. If its the opponent who is playing too passive and you heal, its fair play imo. Could be wrong in thinking this but its just my thought process.
@@Bebe-fq8yb yeah honestly it was easy to punish, i just wasn't expecting it because you don't see it very often so that's why i was like "bruh wth".
I think it's fine,the only way you will be able to even use it is if the enemy is running away/playing passively from very far away,otherwise the enemy will just get a free punish
People make invasions look fun, but then i get stuck on the menus looking for embered people and after 30 minutes die immediately to gankers.
I have now been inspired to do this with my friends but with sorcery or miracles.

I suppose entertainment is their goal but I'd like them to be a little more decisive when fighting you, lol. Staggering the CBV would be very entertaining for me at least! Ha ha ha. I'd be interested to see how much damage it would do to your optimised build. Great to see a tribute to the forbidden sun squad though.

They were so unorganized. you could've died 3 times already if they didn't try to use any charge up attacks or Pyro if they kept the pressure on you.

Gank squads are cool when they have a theme. And that usually comes with each one limiting itself individually for the sake of their theme (but this limitation is rewarded by the fact that they can gank, of course).
I was thinking about doing one kind of ganking:
The host with 1 HP sleeping, a guy on him with a giant door making sure no ranged attacks gets to him and two other fighting invaders. If they manage to kill the host of course the invaders win.
