@@wyvernslayer4530 Again he has tested it. Whole whopping nine damage in pvp. It doesn’t change the fact that first dude was stat hacking unfortunately
The guy was definitely cheating. I've seen someone like that before on another stream. Someone was doing spear of the church fights (as the host) and he got a boss like that. Initially he had around 20% absorption, barely noticeable. He also had infinite FP, extra HP + damage and also extra time on the bundles (ie a bundle would last a couple of minutes instead of a few seconds). Occasionally he would also ramp up his absorption and damage. So basically the host started from dealing around 1.1k damage on a full splitleaf combo, down to 900 and then later down to 500. The guy was also buffing his damage with his increased damage absorption. It's sad that people would do that and ruin other people's games but it's satisfying to see competent players actually just abusing them regardless of their cheats.
This is indeed cheating, At this point I'm not extremely surprised I've encountered a lot of cheaters recently. One of which was using curse but oddly not insta kill curse was a little bit weird...hope that person wasn't playing cinders online and not being softbanned (yet).
Are we not mentioning a fire bundle buff on a magic buffed sword? Buffs don't stack so he was already cheating there and then. So it's more than safe to assume more cheats being used.
That buff is not a normal one. You could see that there was an obvious fire buff but if you pay attention you can see the weapon itself is blue, signaling that there should be a magic weapon buff. I have never heard of being able to combine buffs in base game without exploits so he is most definitely cheating.
Lol, I love the DS series but sometimes the combat makes me laugh. A claymore weighs about 5 pounds and even a zweihander weighs about 8. In DS the claymore apparently must weigh about 30 lbs and the zweihander about 50 lbs lolol (obviously guessing/joking, half the weapons just look outrageously cumbersome) So many fantasy brands are guilty of making weapons far too heavy. I get it with weapons like ultras. A good example is the opening to AC Valhalla. The kid drags a longsword on the ground. Longswords weigh anywhere from about 2-4 lbs lolololol Just look up a vid of someone using a zweihander. It seems as if an out of shape child could swing it around without much trouble. All good though, makes for a good laugh. And yes, I understand it'd probably screw up the entire combat if they actually used even close to real weights for the weapons. Just pointing this out for fun and education. Love these videos!
So its hard to say whether he was cheating or not, due to how defence is calculated in the game. Still, 700 damage with a buffed SLGS combo is kind of suspicious with those armour set up (black hand hat? Fallen knight with some strange leg/arm pieces). What's more dubious is the fact that he does SO much damage - while that in itself isnt that strange, he also has a LOT of defence. Anyone whos able to do some basic math can check out the defence calculation page, and will be able to tell that FLAT defence plays a HUGE part in melee defence, as it is able to move you up and down the defence brackets. Absorption is applied afterward, which is why it is secondary to flat defence.
Defence calculation is based in 5 categories; the 1st category is applied when damage is less than 1/8 of the flat defence, at which the incoming damage is reduced to 10% of its total amount. This is all done before absorption. E.G, I have 160 flat defence, and the incoming damage is 20. This damage will be 0.1 * 20, = 2. With an absorption of 50 percent, I should receive only 1 damage. The last category is applied when damage is over 8 times the flat defence. In which a the damage will be multiplied by 0.9 before absorption. E.G, my flat magical defence is 100, and the incoming CSS does 800 damage. I will receive 720 damage; if I have an absorption 20%, i will be receiving 720 * 0.8 = 576 damage. Notice how this is where absorption shines: If I eat a blue bug pallet, which gives me 15% absorption. Because the actual amount will be lower due to diminishing return, we will give a lower amount. 33% will reduce the incoming damage to 720*0.67=482.4. The difference will be bigger the higher the incoming damage is; thus absorption matters a lot when one has low defence to a certain type of damage.
The middle categories are more complicated to handle, but the trend of lower flat defence = higher damage received is consistent. This is why when the game was first released the community was misled by a few very popular soultubers who did not completely understand the intricacies of how defence was implemented. They only tested defence based on absorption, which obviously makes very little difference because the damage they did their test on were TOO small to make a difference. As a more extreme example, the difference between 50% and 100% may seem big, but when applied it could mean the difference between 500 and 1000, or 1 and 2. Now you see when the differences is small (10% or 5%) how little difference it can make when it comes to a single hit from something like a straight sword.
The idea of effective HP is very valid - let us not forget, however, that souls game was and is still not a dueling game. In the arena where one could not heal, it meant that effective health is (similar to the percentage argument from above) often discerned with very little differences. 1 or 2 extra hit may not matter that much (or perhaps it does) in the arena, but in an INVASION scenario where, if we assume that the invader tops off constantly, means that he could potentially take in 7 or 14 more hits with each estus - that's a massive difference. Keep in mind the amount of max estus is fixed, meaning the amount healed is the same for those with the same vigour; with more defence however, you potentially get 1 or 2 more hits for each estus spent. The conclusion is that defence MATTERS. If all you needed is 1 more hit to survive a blander so that you get a chance to heal up or do a counter attack, defence has done its job.
He was almost certainly hacking. If for no other reason than he had double buffed his weapons, they were both dark buffed and fire buffed his axes. I think he also had higher damage.

Why not use Blue Sentinel? It will tell you for sure if someone is stat hacking
Hey can you make a Kimimaro cosplay? He's the bone swordsmen from Naruto. Bloodlust and bone spear/sword would be great. :)
This is indeed cheating, At this point I'm not extremely surprised I've encountered a lot of cheaters recently. One of which was using curse but oddly not insta kill curse was a little bit weird...hope that person wasn't playing cinders online and not being softbanned (yet).
yeah he hacked his way into my cringe cortex
Are we not mentioning a fire bundle buff on a magic buffed sword? Buffs don't stack so he was already cheating there and then. So it's more than safe to assume more cheats being used.
Surprise cut scene
Nah he just got a better gaming chair
This man is cracked 1 v 3 1v5 it don’t matter 😂🤣
08:45 - It's interesting but the art quality drops too low for me in the last season. LIKE SUPER LOW.
That buff is not a normal one. You could see that there was an obvious fire buff but if you pay attention you can see the weapon itself is blue, signaling that there should be a magic weapon buff. I have never heard of being able to combine buffs in base game without exploits so he is most definitely cheating.
the we were with was possibly cheating too hehehe
He has blue glowing and burning axes. Was he cheating? No. He was just smarter and made his resins magic proof so they don't wear each other out.
I dont even play dark souls but I watch more than enough pvp DS to know that was a cheater.
What do you play on wouldn’t mind joining if ur on ps4 my guys build is like pure strength haha all heavy weapons all day baby haha
Not sure, but both the absorption and damage seemed a bit too high, especially both at the same time. Also the player didn't really know how to pvp.
Ill never get why ppl alt f4.... its almost like pvp is part of the game... keep up the hard work chase-man.
ChaseTheBro -> ChaseTheHero. Lmao
