This song is beautiful. I know it for a long time. Always chills.
One of my all time favorite songs.
This still gives me goosebumps everytime i hear this.
i have seen this live, though not at this concert. Still gives me the chills.
A golden oldie. I still know all the words. Music gives comfort after loss, sadness and in happy times. Music will be my last love ❤️
So glad, anybody realise and like this masterpiece of music anymory. Meanwhile three years ago. It is and will forever be a masterpiece of composing.
This legendary song is working towards a climax in a phenomenal way.
FYI: John Miles passed away aged 72 on December 5, 2021. Also there are live versions of Music where he himself does the guitarsolo as well (he was a very accomplished guitarist and piano player).
I think this was at a concert of Night Of The Proms in Antwerp Belgium
John Miles performed at many Nights of the Proms in Belgium and the Netherlands. Saw him at the proms in Rotterdam. Great song.
Went a few times to NOTP. This always gave me the chills! Seen a few great performances there. One that stood out was Toto. Can't remember the year.
This song was magic to me in my teens and still it is. 🎵❤🎵❤
Late 70s I must have shed countless tears listening to this song. Still 😊 ❤️🌷
Just love it.
This song get played at my funeral.
It defines the phases of my live.
Somtimes rippling and slowe, than fierce and fast.
Somtimes soft and somtimes very loud.
Music was my first love and it will be my last. 💗
My music pulls me through.
Let’s wait a while for that to happen! Stay well.❤️🌷

This is suche a great song wowwwwwwwwwwww
THE song of my youth... and so true...
"To live without my music
Would be impossible to do
In this world of troubles
My music pulls me through"
Always..... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
RIP John Miles. The song that first got me into listening to prog rock. You were a legend.
Yes, heard it live at the Proms. Goosebumps back then.
Now regularly put it on for a pick me up
I love this song !!!! First one I bought from my own money !
This is always the part at the night of the proms that the people are waiting for. I miss it so much, I hope it will be possible again soon. And as you can see in my nick name, the song relates to me 100 %.
Long ago i heard this song (1976) it was a big hit and still my favorite. No live without music i need my daily portion of it what ever music it is as long as it is good.
Totally agree..
To live without (my) music is impossible to do..
In this world of trouble...
This is a classic one! Still a great song! 💜🎶
An anthem to honor music now for 45 years! Here in 2006 he was already singing it for 30 years.
The original TOP OF THE POPS 1976 John Miles - "Music". Recording is the best quality sound. Stunning.
Great reaction .and fore me , music means annything fore me .great song
John Miles just died yesterday December 5th at the age of 72 after a short illness.
R.I.P. John Miles (23‐April-1949 - 5-December-2021)
This song is a masterpiece. And this performance is mind-blowing.
This is still one amazing song!
❤️ pop meets classic and the other way around.. been there and it was great!
I have seen him many times singing this song.. Still love it 👌👌
A banging tune from my childhood. Thanks for reacting to this classic
It's a great driving tune too...adding it to my playlist as I type.
I’ve seen this a lot of times on the “Night of the Proms”. He was there almost every year. I think this one is at the night of the proms.
Rest in piece John Miles, with your music!
I was 13 years old in 1976 and the song absolutely blew my mind at the time. It was around the same time that Queen's Bohemian Rapsody was made. A time when complex music could become a #1 hit.
To this day I think "Wow!" when I hear this song, it hasn't lost any of its power to this day.
I love how he skips through the different genres of music, only to keep coming back to his "Music was my first love", first in major, then in minor, and finally wonderfully orchestral.
Everything about this song is just right and I admire the genius that brought such disparate parts together so beautifully.😍🥰
Up there with all the classic songs🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵👍oh yeah🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵👍
Growing up in my teen's this was MAINSTREAM music......its on my top 10 play list.
THEY DON'T MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE.
I heard this song first time when we played it in our orchestra. I played the trombone, and I had several solos to play.
A really great song. The fast part at the end was the most difficult part for me to play.
Rest in peace, John!
Saw him live at Heineken Night Of The Proms. Also seen that show without him.
It's just NOT the same without him.
That's a show in which classic meets pop. Blondie, Coolio, UB40 etc between well-known orchestra pieces. Absolutely amazing!
On a side note: what happened with you when you started growing a beard? I see a HUGE difference between your reactions from May 2021 and august.
You seriously improved a LOT in such a short time! Respect!
this version was created at one of the first night of the proms in antwerp Belgium. actually antwerp belgium is were night of the proms was born. without this this version of that song would never be created and yes Belgium very smal country but the impact this nation has on the music industry in general is beyond ......
what a talent
I remember him also as the lead guitar player in the Tina Turner band for many years. A real rocker.
RIP
JOHN MILES ..ALAN PARSON , pour ce magnifique travail......
RIP John Miles, fellow geordie!
In the 80s John was part of Tina Turner’s live band and guitarplayer and vocalist and as Tina said it “John doing all my duets with me when either Bryan Adams or David Bowie aren’t around.” He also is for me, next to Colin Blunstone and Eric Woolfson, the defining voice of the Alan Parsons Project. Check out the song La Sagrada Familia (the album version, not the live versions that are floating around) for John’s finest moment with the APP.

O grade exam revision background! Taken me back46 years! ❤️❤️
Such a simple but brilliant song ,I was fortunate enough to see him live back in the 80s . By the way the guitarist is the great Laurie Wisefield who was with British rock band Wishbone Ash .
R.I.P. Jhon Miles you live in our hearts.
