Engine is a petroleum based product which will eat away the rubber seals. Use silicone grease.

Vaseline on both sides and insert it straight up while turning it left and right and NOT at an angle. with vaseline on the o ring and inserting it not at angle and turning clockwise/counterclockwise i inserted them and got no leaks; before I would turn them around and end up chewing the o rings causing a leak.

You got to put the injectors on a bench and flow test them and clean them professionally. Thr uktra sound cleaning you did may not be adequate

Exactly an ultrasound cleaning is recommended, if not available - can also do the manual cleaning of each injectors using carb cleaner /secondly cleaning throttle body makes a lot of difference since it's an older model due to years of neglect it happens - lastly checking the condition of air filter /dusting off just part of maintenence helps.
