McKibben route is on the AA Buttress in the icefield Parkway. Due to short day in January and a long drive we didn’t get to finish the route and decided to safely bail.
Was looking for an alpine mountain climbing channel with little to no music edits or introduction. I was blessed with your channel. I love to be feeling immersed by the sounds of the wind & the climbing. Hell yeah 👍🏻 keep up the work.
I'm only 3:15 in but I had to stop to say I have been researching mountaineering for a while and I have gotten to the point now where I'm ordering gear for some smaller stuff (maybe Mt. Whitney winter mountaineering course). Anyway, I have 2 pairs of those gloves you are wearing (Temres 282-02?) or some close to them? I also noticed what appeared to be C.A.M.P crampons and I looked into those too but didn't buy yet. It makes me feel good that other people are using the gear I picked after researching so I think I'm on the right track as far as equipment selection.
Sick video, does this place get less chossy in the spring as it fills in, or is this standard operations in the Canadian Rockies as far as mixed climbing goes?

Hey! Yeah the showas (temres) are great gloves! I’m actually using the petzl darts! They are good technical crampons.
Nice climb
Thanks!

looks so loose, good video👍
Thanks man!
Great work. I'd like to try that route if it wasn't so loose!
It’s the Canadian Rockies bruh everything is choss that’s what we love about them lol
That was pretty good for the Canadian rockies lol

It definitely varies. This pitch is on the looser side but to my understanding the upper pitches improve in quality.
Nice one !! Could you tell me what gloves you use for this one ?
They are Showa gloves! They used to be hard to get but You can order them off Amazon now
Totems! Somewhere in the Canadian Rockies, I assume, based on the rock you're climbing?
You are on it! this is on the AA buttress up the icefield parkway
What dont you like about dmm? I love them but i also live 20 mins from their factory which might make me a lil biased
I actually like them! But my climbing gloves were a little wet so my thumb was slipping of the nub!
Nice climb! Which filming equipment are you using?
Just a good old GoPro!
TEMRES!!

Those gloves as good as I've read??? Ordered a few pairs off Amazon today so I hope so if not only out like $60 bux so worth the risk lol
