Wow. It's amazing what they charge for rent. I rent a two room "studio" in Yuma. It is around 700 sq. feet, with two rooms, and a full bathroom. I include utilities (water, electric, gas), and charge $800/month. Phoenix prices are crazy.
That for a single man, its a strange neighborhood for downtown, it seems like it’s a suburban area. Its a perfect starter for a newbie to the area

Staying in a hotel weekly is very expensive. You would think that since most people that are living in that situation are in a bad situation it would be less expensive. Something should be done about it.

a 1 , 050 studio in Arizona, I'm shocked but not shocked rentals are crazy.
Does that price cover utilities? How close is it to public transportation, schools, shopping etc? What a depressing little cave you call an apartment. People directly above them, how is the sound-proofing? Public smoke pit just outside, is there a curfew or are there going to be people partying next to a fire until late at night? How many parking spots do you get? How many closets are there for storage etc?

I had a place about twice that size back in 83 it was $275.00 a month. I now pay $330 a month lot rent which includes water ,sewer and trash. If you need to rent a mobile home a two bedroom is $650 and a three bedroom is 750

My husband rents his first home out for 1,200.00 ! It’s 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath, fenced in front and back yard, apple trees and pear trees. He took 50 thousand dollars to renovate it! A woman and her children have been in it for 2 years now .. but this is South Carolina! Rent is a little cheaper here

I totally agree... that particular unit is a starter home for a couple just starting out, or a transitional family. Looks clean and quiet..

I think this apartment would be best suited for a single person or retired couple on a fixed income. In the suburbs of LA County, CA a place like this would be the same price range up t0 $1200.

I’m at a 55+ building complex. There are 140 apartments in this building. I have a 1BR 862Sq Ft apartment that is 768.00 a month with all utilities included. I live in NY. That’s way too expensive for a studio

Price is nuts, I can get a better deal in the SF Suburbs, like in San Leandro, and that's saying a lot because they're crazy expensive out there. I'm currently paying $385 for something similar in S IL, so yeah, the price is freakin' nuts

Been there once about 5 years ago when I was looking at places to move to.
San Leandro was definitely the best bang for the buck when you look at quality of life. At least out of the places I looked at.
Pheonix was a hot & dry shit hole.
NM was the same
Vegas was the same, but better than the other 2
Very little difference in quality of life between Pheonix & S IL except it's a small town so people say hi to you when walking down the street, and the rents are a hell of a lot lower. Weather is more bearable as well.
And since it's a blue state it's easier to start & build a business, they don't try to keep out the unions, and they don't try to keep out important organizations like the FTC.
Oh, and there's also a whole lot less crazy :)

I'm from Chicago. I've lived in seven states. Arizona is absolutely the best state. You don't know it snows in the north half of the state?? I live in the desert. 40's at night and 70's and sunny for the last month. Just you not knowing about the weather I can tell you're clueless. Arizona is a conservative state. We love God and guns. I open carry everywhere. My only ride is my Harley for years now. You can only do that in Arizona. California is not a good business state. I could live anywhere and California is last on my list. I have relatives there. I've been going there since the 80's. Too many regulations. I could never live there. I hate liberals
