You came thru with the wolf beard! I’m going on Saturday and hoping I like it more than you did
Hope you enjoy it more than I did!
You are quickly becoming the one of my favorite reviewers.
This movie has been promoted SO MUCH by the industry shills who are desperately trying to get people to see movie, talking about how great it is.
Now that REAL reviews are coming out (and they are mostly pretty bad) it’s clear that once again there are just a ton of insider industry RUclipsrs who just pump up these movies so they can keep their access with those in the business.
It’s just sad that so many of these RUclipsrs pull this crap.
You, however, just spit your facts and opinions and it’s just so honest and refreshing.
Keep up the good work. 😊
I feel like people want to compare it to Invisible Man so much but thats not fair... the film should stand on its own.
I was really looking forward to seeing it on Friday on my birthday, so much for that.
I mean if you go in with extremely low expectations, you might end up enjoying it. I’m a big fan of his previous work so maybe I just hold him to a higher standard.
Awww mane that’s a bummer I was looking forward to this film, appreciate the insight Elliott 🙏🏾
There’s some moments I enjoyed but most of it was very predictable and the characters were so bland.
I'm going to wait for it to be on VOD.
Well thank goodness i found some reaction like u, cannot wait for the review
Seeing it this Friday. My favorite movie by this writer and director is Upgrade. My favorite Wolfman film is 2010's Wolfman classic with Anthony Hopkins.
it's all good. this reaction will help temper my expectation - which will hopefully help my enjoyment overall
I think we should've gotten Ryan Gosling's take on Wolf-Man, instead of this film.
I didn’t expect it to be good 😄 the trailer looked suspect in my opinion. Outside of that I appreciate your commentary and taking the hit for us on some of these subpar letdowns. I typically agree with your analysis on most movies and tv series.
I was opposite, I loved that first initial trailer and was so excited to see the director and this cast come together but man was I left disappointed.
They really got me with the trailer I can’t lie. I was ready
Nooo I was looking forward to this one!
You and me both my friend.
I guess I’ll wait for VOD. 😢
January release was a red flag for me, as was no initial rotten tomatoes number, 3 days before release.. lol I’ll still check it out 😷
I enjoyed it.
Yoooooo I’m heartbroken 😭. I was excited for this one. Elliott’s word is almost always law so I know he’s not just talking. Was gonna be a first weekend movie but now it might have to wait
Just make your own decision don't let someone critic decide for lol 😆
@ I said “now it might have to wait.” It’s just not a first weekender. I’m still going to go see it but thank you for the concern
I dig the woman in this who played Ruth in OZARK. That's why I want to see this plus the monster looks kinda ominous and scary.
I’m such a big fan of Julia’s work in Ozark but she’s yet to impress me in any of the films I’ve seen her in.
That's too bad. I was actually looking forward to this one. Oh well. Thnx.
And yes, the jack Nicholson wolf man movie was great. My dad took me to see that way back then, lol.
Such a bummer.
As much as I'm a fan of Leigh whannel previous work this pretty much worries me now, cause I'm looking forward to Wolf man. Plus what he did with James Wan with the insidious franchise.
The year actually started off with The Damned, I hear good things...
I have to check that one out
@@MovieFiles Yeah, if you can't make it to the theater for it, it's due on VOD in about a week, I'm excited for it too😍
That’s too bad man😅I enjoyed this. But aye, all film is subjective. Maybe Whannell’s next film will be better.
Everyone is either saying it's amazing and others seem disappointed , not sure whether to go see it or stay home
Yeah I’ve seen mostly positive reviews but this one wasn’t for me besides a few moments here and there.
That's disappointing.. I've been waiting for a follow up to Upgrade as it's a top 3 film for me and been waiting to see what he'd do after Invisible Man. They announced an Upgrade series but that was back right before covid and no updates since.
I'll probably still check this out, but I'm hoping Whannell does other things besides reviving old horrors properties/stories.
Well damn. Still gonna check it out. You’re honestly one of the rare negative reviews.
Hopefully it's better than NosferBORING was.
Agreed , after I saw the design of this wolf , I was not interested
Haha damn... I was pretty excited to see this tomorrow, but not anymore 😂 I wish these other reviewers would stop dancing around whether the movie is good or not 🤦🏻♂ shills.
I'm going to take your word because ever since I saw the creature design I didn't like it. This should've had a more characters and at some point introduce Van Helsing. It also seems predictable knowing another Wolfman is in the film not just the main character. The trailer didn't give me any hope for a surprise and this is why they should've done something like Creature Of The Black Lagoon or Dracula before this. For all the hype building around this I knew something was off about it.
Yeah the film is also pretty tame and plays things very safe and it’s very and I mean very predictable.
Van Helsing is Dracula not the Wolf Man.
This film wasn't on my radar, so I really appreciate your review. It's gonna be a pass for me. I agree with you Wolf is an incredible film
Saw this a couple months back at a pre screening and it was a mystery to what the movie was until they told us 10 minutes before starting the film
Was excited and what a disappointment it was
bummer - a lot of people are saying the same thing so I'm going to skip this in the theater.
It's a copycat movie is already a movie with the Mom married to a husband that turns to a werewolf and the daughter learns about it and then she the mom has to kill him
Didn't like invisible man....won't like this either...wanna see an amazing invisible man....watch Hollow Man instead
Yeah this one was pretty bad. i was disappointed.
@@QReviews412 Happy New Year Q! Yeah man I really was hyped for this but man, what a let down.
@@MovieFilesyou should check the werewolves 2024 one which i thought it was good
Everytime I see Blumhouse connected to anything I stay far away from. Terrible movies.
Mid-January movies. 😒
I definitely think there’s worst January movies but coming from Leigh, I was left disappointed.
Okay, so you don’t like it or liked it but not as much as you hope? You say it’s underwhelming, but you’re not exactly giving a direct answer whether you liked the movie or not.
@@billycjohnson08 As stated, this was a reaction not a review because it was under embargo. But I thought I expressed by the end by saying it didn’t work for me, meaning I didn’t like it.
@ Nope. Under embargo or not, a simple yes or no if you liked the movie or not is acceptable. There’s a difference between a “social” review & full review. An out of theater reaction is a form of social review. So, regardless if it’s a simple out of the theater reaction, a simple yes or no if you liked the movie or not is acceptable. & saying “it didn’t work for me,” is an ambiguous statement. Again, a simple yes or no if you liked the movie or not is acceptable.
