This is the best DIY Raptor vid I've seen. Painting the inside trim was a great reminder to keep it streamline. Thanks for showing us on how to do this the right way.

Looks slick. I want to do my 4runner build soon. I think a big important part of streaks and inconsistencies is to finish off with a mist coat standing pretty far back. Thats been my experience with spraying beds anyway. Looking forward to see this truck all back together!

Looks good.. gotta say, the more I see done with the Raptor product. The more I like it. I understand that you can also clear coat or apparently even better ceramic coat over it. Making the color really stand out and preserve the color even better. Something to think about. You mentioned wheels... yeah 20's ughh.. but 16 or 17 inch can give you a little better tire selection than 15's anymore. While still giving you some good sidewall which is good for a off road vehicle. Tiny little side walls are great on street cars. You should be able to easily get a set of 35's to fit depending on offset and width. Anything taller will require a lift for sure and gear change. Be nice to see a topper on the back, also coated with the Raptor liner. Then a exoskeleton roof rack, custom bumber and spare tire carrier, .... endless ideas and looking forward to seeing what's next. Looks good so far.. oh yeah rims... steel old school and painted with you guessed it.. Raptor liner !! ... you know you have a little extra... a splash of brown here and black there... you have a camo truck...

33x10.5 ftw. The 12.5's can look a bit ballon-like on the pickups and 1st gen tacos. Unless you plan to offroad it a lot, in which case go with 12.5. And if powdercoating the rims, can't go wrong with a satin black. A dark bronze/metallic brown could also look great. A buddy did this with a set of the early-mid 90's Toyota pickup/4runner oem alloys. Totally updated the look.

looks great but you broke 2 important rules...never ever spray raptor for door jams, and dont mix more than 2 bottles at a time due to viscosity. why not door jams? well because seals are meant to fit against tight flush surfaces. now you risk water leaks going into your jams because water seeks the path of least resistance and raptop is a textured paint with grooves and valleys. aside from that it looks dope though

It was lifted 4" with 33" BFG Mud Terrains letters in and American Racing aluminum chrome wheels. I wouldn't even take it on a gravel road! Ive done 14 trucks and that was my favorite. I did a 91 F250 regular cab the same way with 35s. It had an EFI 460 with 4:10.1 limited slips. It was a monster, I'd like to have it now...

My van was pretty streaky on the first coat. So I shot another coat and really focused on shooting an even coat and I had no streaks or differences in texture
