Dont know if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last few days =)
love love love your obsession w planning and all things organization!! i'm right there with ya girl. i've been a part of the planner community the past six years now and cannot function without. keep 'em coming girl! xx 💙
ive gotta start color coding! that's such a good idea. i've been writing up a to-do list every morning on a sticky note & it keeps me so organized! hope your last semester is amazing!!! i'm about to graduate with my associates too this spring :)
Julia congratulations on your LAST SEMESTER!! You’re killin it!!! I am reapplying to my program this summer - and I’m feeling nervous! I’m starting to have doubts on how I’ll get through especially the physics (and any math!)🤪 Also clinical working with so many different supervisors as my social anxiety can really flare up in situations where I’m being “supervised” so to speak. Any words of advice or pep talks?!
These are AMAZING ideas. I’ve taken on so many different things this year and I need to organize and prepare for this 2020 year. Thanks for making this!! 😍
This is my second week of clinical (first year) and I’ve got 3 comps! I’m excited! But I’ve got to have 8 by midterm and 26 for the semester which is kinda stressful 😬 I’ve enjoyed watching your journey through your program!!
Hey Julia!!! As always, I enjoy your videos, because as you know... Us x-ray students have limited resources ✌️ Very appreciative for all your insights. Just starting my 2nd semester, looking forward to it 🙌 Our senior class also attends the conference in February in L.V., this is something the class looks forward to every year. Good luck with all that your last semester brings you ✌️☠️
You are seriously a rockstar. I don't know how you do it. You always inspire me to be more organized and to try harder on my passions. You are going to do amazing this semester!
Planning for my last semester of xray school as I watch this video! 🤓 can't believe i'll be starting my last semester shortly, time flies.. best of luck to you in this last semester!! 💀🖤
Rewatching this video as it popped up on my recommended and I really needed this!! As I am really worried that I am going to miss out on the college experience with everything going on. And that is causing mental breakdowns lol👍🏻😅🙃
This semester is already so overwhelming 😩 We only have class on Tuesday’s and then clinicals Monday, Wednesday,Thursday, Friday so this video was perfect timing! I am going to try google calendars to help keep myself organized...especially with radiation physics
Rad physics was not my fave! But it all started to really click for me after Image Production & Image Equipment since it’s all cumulative! hope this semester goes great for you :)
Love the videos! Wondering if you can make a video speaking on how clinical rotations were like, what exactly you got to do and all that good stuff. Im curious to what I should expect when I finally get into the clinical phase 😭.
I appreciate the idea, but unfortunately that video would be difficult to execute since every program is laid out a little differently. In regards to how we complete our competencies at clinical, we have a certain number of mandatory and elective exams that we have to "comp" out on. We have to perform a certain exam 3 times, and then the 4th time is our "final." Once we're signed off on our final, we're able to do the exam under indirect supervision. This is going to completely depend on your program's format! As for different experiences: we go into surgery, assist in fluoroscopy studies, go on portables, do exams in the department rooms, gain experience at orthopedic clinics, gain experience in the ER during traumas, etc. Your experience is going to entirely depend on what kind of clinical environment you're assigned to learn at! Hope that helps a little!
I'm in the same boat when it comes to bachelors vs associates! It would have cost me $50k+ and took me a year longer versus the associate's route which in the end.... it's the same job title and same pay no matter what.
is your x-day tech internship paid? also how do you get paid internships like this while in college, im going to college soon (11th grade highschooler, so i graduate next year)
Yes, it’s basically a job and it is titled an “internship” so that the job follows state guidelines - I’m essentially just a flex rad tech. I found this position because I had clinical through my school at this site and one of the technologists recommended that I apply! Otherwise, I don’t know how to find paid internships!
No I transferred to a community college from a four year college. Pursuing this program for a bachelor’s degree would have taken me twice as long and 3x the money just to end up getting paid the exact same with either degree.
Depends on the site you're at! The bigger hospitals out of town have two students, one of the in town hospitals has 5 students, and some of the small clinics only have one student. I'm by myself at my current site!
Did you do a certification to be an x-ray tech ? Bc that’s actually a field I’m interested in and pursuing this year so some advice or a video about your journey through this career would be so helpful and great 😭 i know your busy but i just want someone else point of view
I already have multiple videos and q&a’s about this on my channel. No, it’s not a certification. I will have an Associates in Applied Science degree (2-year program) and there are also bachelor’s degree programs (4-year). After you graduate, you have to take a state board exam and pass in order to actually work as a Radiologic Technologist.
no, there's no need for it. I actually transferred to my community college from a four year university. once I pass my state boards, I will be a Registered Radiologic Technologist, so there's no need for any additional education
youre going to KILL it this semester - the planning grind is real
Dont know if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last few days =)

Your always an inspiration!! Anytime I feel a little burnt out in the program I come back and watch your college vlogs 💕✨

I love you videos and you are my inspiration for when I go into the radiology program
Love this! I’m also a type A person so I literally have to plan even the breathes I take 😂
putting everything in my planner at the beginning of the semester is the only thing that keeps me sane 😂 i get soooo overwhelmed too!
full panic mode after writing it all down 😅😂
ive gotta start color coding! that's such a good idea. i've been writing up a to-do list every morning on a sticky note & it keeps me so organized! hope your last semester is amazing!!! i'm about to graduate with my associates too this spring :)
I don’t know how I managed to stay organized before I started color coding & time blocking! That is so exciting!! I hope your semester is so great!

One of my favorite apps is Todoist and it’s an awesome to do list app that’s super efficient and clean. For sure recommend to everyone!

Julia Kristine Yeah I understand. That definitely did help though! Thanks for the reply back.
yes you HUSTLE girlfriend
so early yay!! loved this!!
aw yay ☺️
loved this video!!💗
So helpful!! It’s making me want to buy a new planner lol! 🤪Love your videos girl 💕
I always look in the planner aisles at random stores, well knowing the one I already own is perfectly fine 😂❤️
Julia Kristine LITERALLY ME 😂😂
Love you 😍
ily!
Where did you get the polka dot case for your MacBook?? It's adorable!
Good luck on your last semester btw :)
it's a sticker decal from caseapp! I put it on a clear case from amazon!
I'm in the same boat when it comes to bachelors vs associates! It would have cost me $50k+ and took me a year longer versus the associate's route which in the end.... it's the same job title and same pay no matter what.
too cute, your handwriting reminds me of mine lol
your lashes look so good!! I'm tempted to get some lash extensions but am afraid my real lashes will fall out ;(
if the person is putting them on safely & correctly, your real lashes should only fall out when they’re naturally shedding :) try getting a lash lift!
What kind of MacBook do you have? I’m looking for a new laptop for school
13" macbook pro early 2015 with retina! I've had very good luck with it!
Julia Kristine thank you! 😊
❤❤

Hello. During your clinical sites did you go to radiology clinics or just the er?
We go to hospitals and clinics, so we have experience in ER, urgent care, surgery, fluoroscopy, portables.
I’m confused what college were you at before this? Did you get your bachelors before community college?
No I transferred to a community college from a four year college. Pursuing this program for a bachelor’s degree would have taken me twice as long and 3x the money just to end up getting paid the exact same with either degree.
When you go to clinical, does your program send you to a site by yourself or are you with classmates?
Depends on the site you're at! The bigger hospitals out of town have two students, one of the in town hospitals has 5 students, and some of the small clinics only have one student. I'm by myself at my current site!
Julia Kristine I’m by myself at my first site and my first day is tomorrow😅. We’re you ever nervous about it?
of course! I don't think many people aren't nervous about it - the first day is always intimidating but you will do fine :)
Do you think you’ll go back for ct or mri? ☢️
maybe one day!
