Yesss! I’ve been waiting for your school vlogs to begin. They’re really motivating & inspire me. I just started my 1st year of rad tech school. I’m a little overwhelmed with reading & workbook pages. We had the 1st ch of Bontrager’s workbook due on the 1st day 😬-23 page of que.
I won’t lie - the first year was definitely overwhelming! Just be diligent & stay on track (use a planner & get ahead of readings!) & remember that it’s only a short period of time of learning! You’ve got this!

ello_kita I think I’m starting to settle in a little. We finished our first lab comps this week & it went well for me 🎉. Once I noticed relationships & patterns with all that info, it made remembering/memorizing so much easier. It was that ‘click’ that I needed. We start clinicals in October, so I’m still nervous about that 🤪.

That’s the best feeling when it starts to click 🤗 & don’t be nervous you should have a tech there to help and assist always, Julia is amazing and I’ve actually vlogged my fist X-ray student vid and have been thinking about going more in depth on what to expect 🙌 I love our community as future rad techs because only we truly know how it is and what it takes, keep up the great work ❤️

So happy to see you back! It’s my second semester in the Radiography program and I love it but it’s getting real. Lol Next week I have an extremity check off & 2 exams not to mention I started clinicals and already assisting on exams like small bowel series 😆 hectic but LIFE any ways I’m super proud of you & it’s nice to relate also getting inspiration to continue & push through on this X-ray journey ❤️

Hello. I love your videos.. I AM interested in going to school for radiology Tech. How long was your clinicals months?
Every program will differ, but I have clinical for my entire 2 years in the program.
Semesters 1 & 2 are on Tuesday and Thursday for 7.5 hours per day. Semester 3 is Monday through Thursday for 8 hours per day. Semester 4 is Monday Wednesday Friday for 8 hours per day, and semester 5 is MWF for 7 hours per day.
Are you a senior or grad student? What does a clinical nurse do?
Second year rad tech student (not a nurse!). A rad tech is an x-ray technologist
What kind of dog is the gray one ?
He’s a Merle cocker spaniel
Julia you seem so cool and very similar to how I am as well. How do you afford an apartment and shopping at target etc while in school? My Rad Tech program is gonna be full time how do you do it? Do your parents help?
Target really isn’t that much more expensive than the other grocery stores here! My program is full time, as well. I make money on RUclips, have a part time job on weekends, as well as a PRN cleaning job, and I make money by selling scrunchies. I also worked a ton before I started and saved up. A lot of people that are in my program work evenings & weekends! It’s definitely possible!

Jk. You were due for one of my sassy comments. If you wanted to use "the queen of scrunchies" as the company slogan, I'd be fine with that. ;) I wish you the best with your scruchie business, madam. They’ve become quite the trend. I see a lot of the female RUclipsrs that I watch wearing them as bracelets. You may want to consider making a website for the company and trademarking the company name, slogan, and logo. You’re probably working on all that already, but I thought I’d make the recommendation just in case. I’m a bit of an entrepreneur myself. I’m thinking about trying to flip houses next year. :)
