U have the Perfect voice and persona to do these good videos. Id love to see u make more on a regular basis. Ill DEFINITELY MOST DEFINITELY WATCH EVERYONE U MAKE. PLEASE 🙏 CONSIDER
In the end, it sounds like its running rich. The old plugs verified it, being severely carboned up. The carb could use a complete rebuild. Good job on the starter!
I agree, there might have been an air bleed or an issue with one of the mixture circuits that wasn't letting enough air in. I normally pull off carbs and clean them even if I don't think they need it, but I just wasn't feeling it on this machine! Thanks for watching!
Hey man i just found ur channel and i really like it A LOT. ID LOVE TO SEE MORE A LOT MORE VIDEOS FROM U. PLEASE CONSIDER IF U CAN MAKE IT WORK WITH TIME CONSTRAINTS. THANKS MAN
It's a shame they don't keep up with parts production, but I understand at some point it's not economically feasible to continue. Good luck and thanks for watching!
It sounds pretty much like a lawn mower. Before I upgraded due to necessity, I used to have a 2015 Poulan Riding with a 12.5 hp engine. It pretty much sounded identical to the engine in the Murray.
Hey bud I had a question for ya about one of your other videos but I dunno how you’re supposed to get ahold of someone on here…wanted to know what the tooth count was on the gear reduction setup ya have
Hello, the drive gear on the motor is 11T and goes to a 72T on the jack shaft, the other side of the jack shaft has a 15T and the final drive shaft has another 72T. Let me know if you have any other questions, I enabled comments on the original video. Thanks!
Back when lawn tractors where still made to last, the newer ones only last a few years, glad to see another one brought back
Agreed, I've worked on tractors that were just a few years old that had deteriorated very quickly
@@ballhammerindustriesi have a 1996 murray its problem after problem pretty much

Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words! I'm actively working on new videos! I should have more very soon!
Those older Murray’s were actually pretty cool, and decently built.
I think they're pretty cool too, Thanks for watching!

I agree and probably best to pull head and clean carbon off before it hurts piston

Great looking tractor in real nice shape. That was an easy straight forward starter fix too... I have a couple of Murray's as well
They will be running when we’re dead and gone
For real. 😊
They seem to be good tractors, and yes I'm glad the starter was a cheap and easy fix! Thanks for watching!
Good looking old mower
That’s what I like to have and rebuild it completely
They will outlast any thing maded today
I agree, I like the older stuff too!
Love your videos, simple and real :) Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks Darrell! I have a couple more I'm working on this fall, one should be up in the next few days!
I bought a new one then and it’s still my best ride, same as this one
They definitely don't build them like they used to!
I just got a very similar mower but 40 inch deck for free. Same front lights. Model number 40601B.
Nice score!
Love those old red Murrays
They do have a certain style to them don't they!

Thanks again for the kind words, there is more coming! I appreciate it
Exallant video I love murry tractors
Thanks for watching!
these were the best mowers in the 90.s
Thanks for watching!
I recommend the non ethanol pump gas ⛽ from SUNOCO
I do use non ethanol gas from Holiday, we don't have a Sunoco around here
Dang I hate the cold weather 😢
Makes my old back hurt
We've had a decent fall so far in northern MN but it was cold this morning, get ready for it!
I have a 1987 Model. It runs but carburetor started leaking. They don't make parts for this model any longer.
It's a shame they don't keep up with parts production, but I understand at some point it's not economically feasible to continue. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I see there's a hole on the seat i recommend using duct tape (i used duct tape on my 1990 murray lawn mower seat)
Thanks for the tip!
I have one just like that except mine is an oil leaker
Fix it this winter while you don’t need it
Luckily this one didn't leak oil!
All right then do you know where I can get an oil seal by The Fill tube
That one has a fuel pump because I only have the 12 horsepower
I did end up finding the fuel pump. Thanks for watching!
Ho do you put the belt on Murray 17,5 hp 42inch cut model no 313707 type0126-ei?
I have no idea! But thanks for watching my video!
what model number is that one those are good machines i had one back in 94 i would like to get another one
Sorry I can't look up the model number, I've since sold this tractor. Thanks for watching!
Would it be possible that you send the make and model number? Its under the seat. I have the same one but you can't read it and I need a new carb
I have the same one as well it’s Model number 40541x998. Happy to send the pic
Did you find it ???
I did get rid of this machine and I looked back and I don't have any pictures of the make and model, sorry! But thank you for watching!
It’s 40601B, I just picked one up.
Adjust the valves
Thanks for the tip!
Sounds tearable

It definitely wasn't running as well as I would have liked. Thanks for watching!
sounds like metalic friction somewhere or else the sound pickup ain.t great.
