Props to the sheer amount of planning and effort you're expending. Like, you're thousands of miles from your home, in a (slightly) different country, found a place in Joshua Tree that is letting you do all of this in their backyard, tracked down a product that you also had sponsor the video, all while writing/editing/shooting this video. And here I am, having trouble keeping up with the dishes in my sink.

could just spray foam it later if he needed to.
I heard you have to be careful with Moisture. The Moisture will condense inside the insulation if it's cold outside.

Looks awesome! I have a question about van life, can you pretty much just set up wherever you want to sleep at night? Or are there designated places to do so?
There are lots of places where you can camp for free for various reasons (BLM land, US national forests, Baja California), which is mainly what we’ve done. Paid for 2 campsites so far. We’ve found all of our spots through the app iOverlander or reading blog posts

I question dry wall and spackle in a van? I thought there would be some paneling that is mor flexible for walls. Won’t it all fall apart after the first bumpy road?
They are plywood, not drywall. 1,000 miles later, hasn’t fallen apart yet!

I live on a Marina. These waterproofing chemicals have been found in the drinking water and other heavy adjacent areas. Basically the water is poisoness. I use bottled water for EVERYTHING. Heavey filter for house functions ( shower ect.).Filers can't really filter it.. but what else can I do.

Morley, have you considered user trim strip where the seams are? A lot of us van people did that to make things look more tidy
I don’t really mind the seams personally, so seems like extra work for no reason! Maybe if/when we choose to sell it.

How is the bathroom and shower situation living out of a van like this? Do you always have to park near a public bathroom?
Not a problem! Public bathrooms, or dig a hole the ole' fashioned way.
For showers, we've used Planet Fitness, friend's houses or the outdoor shower attachment we have for the sink

Hey, just finding u guys, and Im a fan! Is the place in Joshua tree your friends or is it a place that people can rent and work on projects there?
How do you like the Starlink system? Been thinking about getting one but I will do the DIY 12V conversion. And I heard they are going to release a smaller version but not sure if the speeds will suffer or not. They say it can fit in a backpack but I'm skeptical as you need a power source for the dish. I don't see the point of a small dish if you need to also carry a heavy power source.
Starlink is honestly incredible. We’ve only had it for about a week but it does the job of getting us fast internet in the middle of nowhere. No complaints. Power draw is only about 50 watts on AC. We’re living in the future.
@@MorleyKert Good to hear this. I might pull the trigger and get the Gen 3 and test it out for 30 days. I did see a guy in a camper van create an external plug for the antenna so he could just plug in the cable and set out the antenna. Was kinda neat and would be better than dangling cables out of a door or window. So you are seeing about 4 to 6 amps of current when using Starlink?
What is the shower and toilet situation in your van?
No toilet, and the sink has an outdoor shower attachment. No regrets going toiletless!
It is possible to fix the starlink antenna to the roof? then that'll be easy
It's not really made for that, but I'm planning on affixing a storage box to the roof that can hold the starlink.
Any total boat recommendations to use on a live edge table?
For what use, specifically?

why don't you do that flat mount thing for the starlink antenna? i think you can do it yourself or buy a kit.

@@MorleyKert then you could throw it on your roof and off you go, i think you can even use it on the move (don't quote me on that it might be a different option of service but there are people who do it)

Did you put plants that release CO2 at night? I’d double check if you’re ventilation works at night, otherwise you’ll be breathing CO2 at night
