I'm so glad that the first bride, Christy, got the dress that 'she' wanted. Her "friends" wanted her to get the dress they wanted for themselves. She needs to ditch them... family too.
That last bride shouldn't have been trying on mermaid cut gowns if she wanted to be able to play hockey in her dress. The correct cut would have been an A-line with a traditional waist. It sounded like she only tried one A-line, and it was "too frilly" for her.
@jemmaj2919 There's only so much a consultant can do when the only input the bride makes (that we see, of course) is that she wants to play hockey in it. If the consultant has never seen a hockey game, she probably has no idea what to bring, so the bride should've explained the necessities behind her request.
@lisamelroy2855 umm yeah bride did make a very unusual request but that first dress literally didn't fit it by any standards. Consultant just put her into whatever
5:08 Please tell me I'm not the only person who was reminded of Phoebe from Friends telling the jeweler she'd give him 10 dollars for Chandler's engagement ring, lol.
I love the pirate themed idea! Loved the first pirate dress too! Go girl, do you! All stunning brides! PLaying sports on your weddingday in your dress. That s a hard one
The hockey bride might be happy in a bustier and pants, with a removable overskirt. I don't know if that option was even available when that episode was filmed.
As a seamstress that has worked on all 4 of her sister/sister in laws wedding dresses, (including my own) making them how each imagined them to be I would have loved the challenge of creating the hockey players gown!
First dress on second bride was very piratey! And why didn't the consultant pull short dresses for the hockey bride?! Anyways, Randy is amazing and his dress designs are fantastic
I always find it funny that brides want over the top dresses that will make them stand out and be noticeable at their wedding. You are the bride. The star of the show. All eyes are going to be on you no matter what you wear.
The last bride looked great in all the dresses she wore; too bad none of them worked out. Maybe she should have gone for a gown with a removable overskirt which was short underneath that.
That's what I told all my friends, now my friends grandkids, when I hear they're getting married. The wedding is just a party after church. The marriage is for the long haul.
My thoughts, which really mean nothing to anyone else except me, is to go formal for the wedding, it is just the classy thing to do. However, for the reception, if you have a certain theme, then get a party dress and dance the night away. . .get your funk on!! I did not have the wedding I wanted, but I love my amazingly wonderful mil so much, that I did the traditional choice. The colors I chose were her favorite, and I had no idea! I made my own dress, so it was exactly what I wanted, and had a beautiful ceremony and fun reception!! I didn’t sacrifice the parts I wanted, while I was able to implement the parts my Mom and MIL hoped for. You never know how great something will turn out!!
The pirate dress was absolutely stunning, and that second dress that her friends put her into, while pretty looks like a wedding dress, you could get off the rack. Honestly I think you can get that dress on Temu. Personally, I I thought the pirate dress could have a bigger skirt, but that was basically like the best option they had
It seems like the consultant for the last bride wasn't listening to her at all. Why put her in so many fitted dresses? Was there nothing A-line or tea length in the entire store?
Why would the consultant give the bride, who wants to play hockey in her dress, fitted dresses? That makes NO sense. There are lots of flared or ball gown styles that the bride could move or skate in.
@@s.z.6200 you can if it's styled to be like any other skater's dress. They wear short skirts in figure skating. The constaltant just wasn't listening or giving her shorter dresses which do exist.
the last girl needed a bridal jumpsuit with an over skirt that could be removed after the wedding ceremony. They did that for another girl who was going skydiving after the ceremony.
As far as a dress a pirate would wear, none of those dresses screamed "pirate" to me. They were beautiful, but not easy to move around in. I was thinking more of a tea length dress or a pantsuit, and definitely a belt.
The second bride (the blonde), that dress appeared on this show (back in the day) SO MANY TIMES! I felt like every episode they sold that dress to someone. LOL
I don’t care if formal or not, a dress should be comfortable and movable in, to dance or in case of emergency to be able to RUN! Hence the two in one dresses are my preference, have a removable layer that shortens the dress and allows movement to enjoy and celebrate the celebration after the signatures are out the way.
Sports bride could've tried on shorter dresses, like in the 50's - calf length. with a feather instead of a veil. So many options, I don't get her having to leave empty handed.
I think the hockey idea sounds like a lot of fun. Don't know why they only put her in dresses she couldn't move in. Would love to know what she looked like on her wedding day....
Umm if you want to play hockey at your wedding or any other sport I suggest a pant suit attire more appropriate for a hockey or any other sport type wedding games.
If the only thing the brides are interested is the "different " ceremony(nightclub, hockey, scuba dive etc.) Why even have the wedding? I thought the "events" were supposed to be the reception.
The should have been able to find a shorter dress, like above ankles and semi puffy skirt with no beading or diamonds for the hockeygirl, strapless preferably sweetheart neckline for her i think. Would have looked great on her.
They pulled it because it’s the most similar to the dress that was in the pictures. It’s difficult to see the details because the dress is stark white.
Solely based on how they associated pirate to anchor, I would say they were thinking like the dresses that you see in the historical romance covers. Corseted with gathered skirts.
I'm glad the first bride stuck to her guns. The second was going to kill her granny, but her end dress was gorgeous. Third was spot on to her request. And 4th, that appt should have been held at toysRUs.
The hockey bride ... WHY didn't they put her in a 50s style tea length???! It would be perfect - length would be good for skating and the skirt would billow and swirl as she skated circles around her groom.
If I walk in to a bridal appointment and ask them for an odd thing and they show me a weird judgemental face, I would just leave. It's not their place to express their opinion, but to try to accommodate it without judgement
I'm sure you're probably well aware that all this is nothing but hyped up "entertainment, meant for nothing more nor less than to make gullible viewers all simp, ooky, and up in arms about the brides' choices. In real life, the staff of bridal salons don't give a rat's rump what a bride wants; if she wants to find a dress made of toilet paper sheets, they'll do their best to accommodate her bizarre request, and get on with their lives. It's very well documented all over the Internet that all "reality" tv shows are nothing but lies and hype, and this one show is one of the biggest in that way of doing things. Randy himself typically gets decent reviews, but even he has said that the producers and directors who show up to film have all the say about the way the entourages interact with the brides, and it's typically just a bunch of unbelievable garbage (he didn't use the word garbage, but it's the perfect word for the foolishness of these shows).

The first pirate dress was awesome, so glad the bride stood up for herself ❤
I see the vision with the pirate dress. Corset top, layered skirt. It was a lovely dress and the bride looked beautiful!
That bodice was gorgeous and she had the colouring and figure to carry it off. She looked gorgeous, and the white with her dark hair looked amazing.
She looks gorgeous in it really suits her very pirate love it
Pirates of the Caribbean would be an awesome wedding theme ngl
Pirates or not that dress was beautiful on her!

I agree. I was thinking tea length.
'It's formalwear not workout wear.' I agree, but something in a tea length might have worked.
Thank God the entourage for the second bride had the sense to talk her out of the hideous gown she wore the first time.
I appreciate her not wanting to look like everyone else, but that first dress looked like she got trapped in the curtains and just kept walking.
hilarious!

Why didn't the last bride look a tea length or shorter dresses?
