I thought it was sweet how the mother came to terms with accepting her daughter's choice. But, I still do side with Randy and the bride's mother. The first dress looked like a amalgamation of nothing but different fabrics, including a piece dangling in front. Don't know what the designer had in mind for the concept of the first dress. Either or, as long as the bride is happy, that is what matters.
The dress Randy picked has an ethereal feel. Reminds me of the 19th century dresses worn by British aristocracy I saw in my history books. The bride is stubborn and unclassy. She just has bad taste and doesn't listen to honest opinions.
I know the dress is not cheap price wise but it sure has a cheap look. She is a beautiful young woman and her mother is trying to guide her to a more classy, glamorous style. In this case, I agree with Mom!
Yeah. I was a bit shocked when they said it was Pnina, her dresses are usually wow and over the top, but also "one of a kind". This one just looks like a lot of different pieces were thrown together without any love or care. It's not a "wow" dress. It's a "meh" dress. But the bride loves it, so that is that.
That is whole lotta dress! Her mom knows best in this case! Years later I tried my size two wedding dress on it had big ruffles on the back with a bow. I fell down laughing and my two sisters laughed with me! It was a young & dumb choice for sure
No, you gotta listen to your heart no matter what anyone else says, including your mother! That means, even if everyone else thinks you have poor taste LOL
No you don't. It's HER wedding, not yours or her mothers. Whether or not you think she looks good or not doesn't mean anything, if she feels beautiful, the its the dress for her
"I want it to be classy, but that's not her, that's not my daughter"... probably the most respectful way you could say that you think your daughter usually dresses like trash, lol
not necessarily classy doesnt mean its trash. theres a lot of styles that may be considered "unclassy" for being too revealing or unconventional that are still considered super cute when styled well. (japanese gyaru is a good example)

She's rather petite so the dress was too much for her frame. But, it's the bride who has to wear it. One day she may look back and say "what was I thinking?!"
I think the bride fills the dress out beautifully! She's no shrinking violet, she shines with confidence, a woman who knows what makes her heart happy. She picked the right dress!
I don't agree. She loves this dress with no reservations, and I think she would regret not getting this dress. I loved how she stood up to her mother without getting nasty or mean. Despite their disagreement, the bride and her mother show a great deal of respect and love for each other.
As a wedding manager, I always thought the really beautiful brides presented better in simple graceful styles that brought attention to themselves rather than the dress.

Then maybe the grandma should have paid for it. Or the bride herself. When you expect someone else to pay thousands of dollars for you, then they get a say. Period.

Though it isn't my preference in bridal gowns, it the right dress for this bride. When we look at some of the gowns Pnina makes, as well as some other designers, with a lot of skin showing, Mom should be glad her daughter wasn't attracted to them! Grandma was right.
That's a good point. At least the dress isn't see through like so many Pnina dresses. As for "plain and boring," that second dress seemed pretty "complicated" to me and the dress she chose would be my nightmare. It has so many different elements it's like noise to the ears, but for the eyes. It's overwhelming, but that's me. To her it's perfect and it's her wedding.
I’m shocked that the daughter thought the second gown was plain and boring. It was gorgeous. He had enough bling, it was a gorgeous silk/satin and the pick-ups were done really well. The first gown is a monstrosity.
I respect the mother for sticking to her guns. She's allowed to have an opinion and a taste. She got overruled but she was gracious about being overruled.
The bride is an over-the-top and in-your-face type of personality, and that dress suits her personality to a tee. She won't change her personality and she will still love that dress on her 25th wedding anniversary.
He does have a g pod eye. That said, I wouldn’t want him to be part of an appointment of mine. Did you hear what he said… “I’m in the middle here?” He wouldn’t be if he let the consultants do their jobs =on their own.
As the mother of a gen-z young lady, all I want is for her to be incredibly loved, cared for, supported and protected by her man. The dress is a thing worn in a moment of life. The marriage is the most important part of the wedding
that dress that she chose … well, I’m not a PT fan, her dresses are far too over the top and I just don’t get it. If I wanted a costume, I’d have a costume designer do it.
Oh, we get it-you’re not a fan of Pnina Tornai, and you just had to let everyone know. Here’s the thing: no one cares. The bride chose a dress that made her feel beautiful, and that’s what matters-not your unsolicited critique. Calling it a ‘costume’ is just a petty attempt to invalidate someone else’s joy because it doesn’t align with your taste. Newsflash: not every bride dreams of plain, cookie-cutter gowns that fade into the background. If over-the-top isn’t for you, great, but keep your snide comments to yourself. This isn’t your wedding, your dress, or your moment. Stop trying to act like a self-appointed fashion critic-it’s embarrassing.
🙈? Really? You’re so proud of your take that you’re hiding behind an emoji like it adds some kind of weight to your nonsense? Let me tell you something: the mother wasn’t ‘right.’ She was trying to impose her will and steamroll her daughter on what’s supposed to be the bride’s special day. A wedding dress reflects the bride’s personality, not her mother’s control issues. If you think a parent’s need to micromanage is more important than the bride’s happiness, you might want to reevaluate what respect and love actually look like. That emoji won’t save you from being absolutely wrong here.
Yeah, it was getting closer as they went, but still not spectacular. I would have put her in something more form fitting to flatter her petite frame. A simple silhouette to please mom, but the fabric could be a beaded lace to please the bride. Idk, I guess the consultants mainly just want that commission, if a bride is ready to drop almost $8k on a Pnina dress, they won't stop her no matter how bad it looks.
When I was a kid i would watch this show all the time and was convinced that someday I would want a Panina Tornay dress. But NOW as an adult i can't believe how tacky and cheap her dresses look. And the price is such a rip off.
The dress this bride liked was truly a collection of everything and anything. There is no unified concept. It feels Pnina just threw together leftovers of random fabrics and bling. I wish she would listen to her mom this time.
Trusting she nixes the over skirt. The actual dress portion, looked great on her figure...not a fan that design either, but if you remove the fluff you can see an actual wedding dress shape. NIX THE OVER SKIRT. For MOM! Meet us all in the middle. *Use the skirt for the cake table tablecloth. WIN WIN save on catering expense.
I can't say I care for Pnina dresses, but the bride made the right choice for HER. Randy's thoughts were coming from a place of personal taste and style. But the Mother was not; she was coming from a place of judgement. She kept asking what "other people will think." She didn't necessarily like the 2nd dress because she thought it looked good (I actually thought it was boring). She liked it because it wouldn't warrant criticism. I 100% support the bride on this one.
Mother knows best. The Pnina dresses are always costume-y and they tend to wear the bride rather than the other way around. The silhouette was nice on her but the design is like the glitter and flowers exploded onto the dress. A lot of unnecessary details thrown on it…like Pnina doesn’t know when to stop detailing her dresses. 🤦♀️
Conflicts like this are asinine. You know you and your mother have different tastes. You've likely known this for several years. You are an adult and can pick the dress you like. Your mom who you know has different tastes doesn't love your dress. You shouldn't try to make her love it. She gave her opinion and said she wants you to be happy. Anything beyond that is moronic to even try for
Exactly mom. It's not about you, it's about your daughter and what makes her feel the most beautiful despite what others think. Even though the overskirt is a bit much it's only going to be worn for the ceremony. She's taking the overskirt off for the reception and the dress underneath suits her well.
I have to agree with the mother about the first dress...so much going on in the design of it that it lost its integrity of design. But likewise the daughter has to have the final say. At her budget of $7k, you'd think there would be lots of dress options.
*I’m actually shocked Randy didn’t take the bride’s side* Even her Nona just wanted her granddaughter to be happy & let the bride wear what she wanted to wear 🙈
Rule of thumb I’ve learned working as a apparel sales supervisor is: Even if the garment or customer looks “hideous;” you tell them they look great. As an employee, u represent every item u sell at the store. Also what may look “hideous” to some may be beautiful to others. One person’s (or 2 in this case) opinion isn’t the almighty opinion. People have different fashion & style choices. But idk maybe you’re the reincarnated version of *CoCo Chanel* so if that’s the case then we’ll take your word for it
Wish we'd see more mom's realize that neither the dress their daughter's choose or the wedding day isn't about them it's their daughter's day not theirs!
I don’t think she meant to take away from her daughter’s day. She just truly didn’t like the dress and didn’t think she looked her best in it. If the daughter didn’t want her opinion then she should have gone shopping by herself.
The dress looks gorgeous on her. It gives insight to her personality, fits wonderfully, gives her two for one and makes her glow with happiness. You can have the most extravagant dress in the world or most elegant or plain, but if the dress doesnt make you glow with happiness then no matter how it looks, its just a sack of cloth. This makes her feel like a bride, glow, and happy. It really is the perfect dress for her
I don’t think it fit that well. The straps looked loose and too long and the bustline needs altering. She looked like a child playing dress up in someone else’s dress. (Can you tell I hated it?🤣) But it’s her dress and if she’s happy.
@brendafrazier811 eh all it needs is a few alterations like most wedding dresses. There's a rare few that a dress fits perfectly off the rack. For her I think it's perfect (excluding alterations) would I pick that dress? Nope but it's her party not mine :)
@@KristiLynch-d5g I just like different things to you. That doesn't mean I have no taste! It would be a boring world if we were all the same. Take care x
The only opinion that ultimately matters is the bride! Her day, her dress. We all have different taste. She loved it so she was happy & glowing. Sweet & wise grandma!!
Agreed with the mom...dress was horrible. She should've kept shopping. Consult was happy with a designer commission. She can careless what the mom thinks. 😢
I thought even dress #2 was too much, but Carla found it "boring". Dresses #1 and #3 were ugly. The bride picked the ugliest of the two. I'm with Mom on this. Carla has _no_ taste. Watching this, I kept wondering what Carla's home decor looks like.
I actually like the dress she picked-for her. She has the figure to pull anything off. The straps suit her. I thought it was prettier than that hideous Little Bo Peep dress with the weird apron thing. She’s not a classic girl so she is not going to enjoy a classic style dress.
As I was watching this, it occurred to me that even as an only child, I never had my mother attend my wedding. She never got involved in my first wedding, stating that the possibility of my father being there totally precluded any possibility of her attending. My father was there, and gave me away, but that first marriage just didn't stick. By the time I got married the second time, I had decided I didn't need anyone's approval but my own. Lesson learned: go with what you love. My mother did not want to be involved with my first wedding because she thought my father would be there (which he was) and I was a young career girl with a very limited budget, so I picked out a Butterick pattern, threw a few yards of embroidered georgette and a few yards of ivory satin at a friend, said this is what I want, wore a large hat with floral embellishments, and got married in the afternoon. And in my own opinion, was a lovely bride. We all do the best with what we have.
It's always a matter of taste. Everybody likes different styles! I personally don't like many Pnina Tornai dresses, and even this one not in all parts. But I find it really special and made for this bride's beautiful figure. I'm really really she chose it despite of it all. She wears it beautifully, and am positive she will like her wedding photos even after many decades ⚜ The other two dresses were so dull.🤦♀️ I'm so glad she took the first one.
I am with the Mother on this dress. BUT it is her Daughters wedding dress. But her mother did do it. She gave in at the end and said it was her daughters day more or less. At least she didn’t act like a lot of the mothers do, and that is being disrespectful. All ended good in the end. She will not be able to dance in that dress and she’s gonna get tired of lugging it around for a few hours. 🥰🐾
Bernadette should not care what guests think about her at her daughter’s wedding. What awful people she must know to criticize a bride on her wedding day.
I can't believe everyone is slamming that dress!!! Especially that mother was SO rude and unkind to her and on national tv!!!! 👎 Does everyone just block out that she's only wearing the 'puffy' skirt for the ceremony!!! It's coming off after that, for the reception and or anytime she wants if she changes her mind!!! The actual dress is stunning and she looks amazing in it!!! 👍👏👏 Get a grip people!!!
I saw this episode years ago and it’s my favourite As a mother of two brides, I know the stress of dress buying and trying to be positive about the bride’s choices. I hope the wedding was fun for all and that the couple have a happy, over the top life.
Oh, you poor people who think this Pnina dress is bad. This video is from YEARS AGO. Try searching for Pnina's 2024 collection and you'll have something to be shocked about. She's really not giving up on the wedding night as a wedding dress look + she's got some weird pointy shoulder pad thing going on now. It's ghastly.
Bride you are beautiful and its a beautiful dress. Have fun you only get to wear it one day. As for Randy, not many dresses stand the test of time or we’d all be wearing the same dresses. I loved my dress when I wore it but I wouldn’t choose it now. Its for who you are at this time in your life.

Not really… you could barely see the bride in all that fabric
That is why I loved Paris Hilton dress. It was so classy
I’m shocked that the daughter thought the second gown was plain and boring. It was gorgeous. He had enough bling, it was a gorgeous silk/satin and the pick-ups were done really well. The first gown is a monstrosity.
But it’s up to the brides taste.
A thin strap of rhinestones and a sparky belt might have helped the bride like the second dress. I thought the second dress was too low on her chest.
Yes, that second one was gorgeous on her!
lol.. the pom poms on the front. Seriously? Not to mention the duvet wrapped around her waist.
Like a '57 Chevy. Pom Poms?
It's fugly beyond belief. The pom poms are so out of place.
I have to admit i don't like the dress, but, it's her day... congrats.
that dress is hideous
Most Pnina dresses are....ugly, gaudy, tacky, and overpriced.
Pnina’s dresses always look like they belong on a Vegas show girl.
@@ToLoveIsToLive89 Vegas show girls generally have better taste.
@@MrsBrit1I was about to say that!
@@ToLoveIsToLive89Yup and a number of them look like nightgowns and lingeries.
I respect the mother for sticking to her guns. She's allowed to have an opinion and a taste. She got overruled but she was gracious about being overruled.
Yes she can have an opinion but can't force it.
The bride is an over-the-top and in-your-face type of personality, and that dress suits her personality to a tee. She won't change her personality and she will still love that dress on her 25th wedding anniversary.
RIGHT ON !!
Yep.
Bit rude to go and ask Randy when they already have a consultant
He does have a good eye though. I have to give him 5hat.
He does have a g pod eye. That said, I wouldn’t want him to be part of an appointment of mine. Did you hear what he said… “I’m in the middle here?” He wouldn’t be if he let the consultants do their jobs =on their own.
Right? That was also humiliating for Sarah that he said the dress was hideous and you can see her, just 2 feet in front. Let her do her damn job!
As the mother of a gen-z young lady, all I want is for her to be incredibly loved, cared for, supported and protected by her man. The dress is a thing worn in a moment of life. The marriage is the most important part of the wedding
I fall in love with the dresses that's behind the people speaking everytime!! They're só beautiful!! 🤍🪽
that dress that she chose … well, I’m not a PT fan, her dresses are far too over the top and I just don’t get it. If I wanted a costume, I’d have a costume designer do it.
Not a PT fan, but just to point out that you are not her target client 😮
@@Nina01. so? What’s your point? To argue with me? Bye!
@@jeswainstonloser
@ NEWSFLASH for you. I don’t care about YOUR opinion LOL…don’t let it ruin your day. 🤣
The mother was right 🙈
Still is her wedding 😂
"I've been waiting for this my whole life" She's 24 !! Calm down
Still not the right dress with #3, I don’t think any of the dresses suit her.
I agree.
Dress 3 was dress 1 again.
Why does everyone fawn over Pnina? She seems nice enough but maybe one of her designs is nice. The rest are simply hideous and beyond overpriced
The mother reminds me of Fran Drescher now that she's older. The skin tone, the hair colour, the smile and even the voice. 😮
Randy, one of the MOST fun and appealing aspects of watching these videos is your unassuming humility. 😂😂😂
When I was a kid i would watch this show all the time and was convinced that someday I would want a Panina Tornay dress. But NOW as an adult i can't believe how tacky and cheap her dresses look. And the price is such a rip off.
@avacadotoast5492 Pinina Tornei is more about sexual dresses than dresses appropriate for weddings.
My daughters picked what they loved and I loved it with them.
Kudos to this beautiful bride that knew how she wanted to look on her day.
Randy is such a vibe he just knows
Man to hear the comments at the wedding lol.
Im pretty sure this is an old episode 10+ years ago, I wonder what she feels about her wedding dress after looking back 🫣😀
As soon as they put a veil on, the dress is magically perfect lol
The power of the veil compels you!
It was a horrible veil, though. I prefer
Cathedral veils.
And she will be wearing the veil when she wears the overskirt, so it works for everybody.
I agree with the mum 🤷🏽♀️
Mother knows best.
The Pnina dresses are always costume-y and they tend to wear the bride rather than the other way around.
The silhouette was nice on her but the design is like the glitter and flowers exploded onto the dress. A lot of unnecessary details thrown on it…like Pnina doesn’t know when to stop detailing her dresses. 🤦♀️
I don’t understand mothers who have been waiting for their daughter’s wedding their entire life. Am I the odd one??
Conflicts like this are asinine. You know you and your mother have different tastes. You've likely known this for several years. You are an adult and can pick the dress you like. Your mom who you know has different tastes doesn't love your dress. You shouldn't try to make her love it. She gave her opinion and said she wants you to be happy. Anything beyond that is moronic to even try for
Im 68, but if I were to ever get married again, I would want to have Randy design the dress.
I agree with the mom 100% - and respect her for not standing in the way of her daughter
Maybe it's because that dress is hideous
Maybe he wants the focus on the bride and that dress would be all about the dress
But idk maybe you’re the reincarnated version of *CoCo Chanel* so if that’s the case then we’ll take your word for it
I agree with the mother .... I didn't like the dress either... It didn't suit her 😢
The bride likes it, it's her dress, she's wearing it. Grandma's right
Fits her like a glove, though
It’s gaudy
Thanks!
They asked the mom her opinion and she very graciously gave it. I don’t get all this mom dissing
Not a fan of dress #2 either…
Put the dress in storage after the wedding and work on staying married until DEATH do us part.
"I want it to look classy, but that's not her." Jesus, Mom, you just couldn't keep that nugget to yourself? 🤐
(Can you tell I hated it?🤣)
But it’s her dress and if she’s happy.
@brendafrazier811 eh all it needs is a few alterations like most wedding dresses. There's a rare few that a dress fits perfectly off the rack. For her I think it's perfect (excluding alterations) would I pick that dress? Nope but it's her party not mine :)
I totally understand the bride, I am a person too who loves so much going on kinda dresses. i think it looks fabulous on her.😍
I really don't like Pnina Tornai dresses. So tasteless.
Hate her half naked dresses.
Her dresses are Tacky tasteless and overpriced
Thats ur opinion and very ridiculous! Smh u have no taste
Glad she got her dress but I happen to agree with Mom. That dress is singularly hideous
I'm pretty sure the bride does not care what you or anyone thinks of her home decor. She likes it.
And who cares?
Cry
Randy bout to hire that grandma 😂
I actually like the dress she picked-for her. She has the figure to pull anything off. The straps suit her. I thought it was prettier than that hideous Little Bo Peep dress with the weird apron thing. She’s not a classic girl so she is not going to enjoy a classic style dress.
The mother has beautiful taste.
Believe it or not, fashion is not the same as "good taste". Two different concepts.
She looked beautiful in all the dresses.
I’m being HONEST- That panina dress at the end did NOT fit her well at all
It's always a matter of taste. Everybody likes different styles! I personally don't like many Pnina Tornai dresses, and even this one not in all parts. But I find it really special and made for this bride's beautiful figure. I'm really really she chose it despite of it all. She wears it beautifully, and am positive she will like her wedding photos even after many decades ⚜
The other two dresses were so dull.🤦♀️ I'm so glad she took the first one.
Does everyone just block out that she's only wearing the 'puffy' skirt for the ceremony!!!
It's coming off after that, for the reception and or anytime she wants if she changes her mind!!! The actual dress is stunning and she looks amazing in it!!! 👍👏👏
Get a grip people!!!
Am I the only one that likes the dress she picked? I think it looks great on her and she's so happy in it!
ME TOO
Me too.
I liked it.
I thought it was better in the reception form but I've way worse.loo it definitely wasn't the right price for what it was though
I saw this episode years ago and it’s my favourite As a mother of two brides, I know the stress of dress buying and trying to be positive about the bride’s choices.
I hope the wedding was fun for all and that the couple have a happy, over the top life.
Great comment. That’s the way it should be.
“I know what look well on her” GOOD ON HER, it’s good on her
I would lose the overlay skirt. It’s too much.
Pnina dresses look like white prom gowns not bridal.
3:04 "Oh, gaudy? I'm all about gaudy, Ma!
😂
I love this bride even tho my tastes are more in line with her Mom's.
