I thought it was sweet how the mother came to terms with accepting her daughter's choice. But, I still do side with Randy and the bride's mother. The first dress looked like a amalgamation of nothing but different fabrics, including a piece dangling in front. Don't know what the designer had in mind for the concept of the first dress. Either or, as long as the bride is happy, that is what matters.
@FAKOKTA It is definitely possible.
That is Pnina for you, she throws some fabric together, adds bling and charges an astronomical amount.
The dress Randy picked has an ethereal feel. Reminds me of the 19th century dresses worn by British aristocracy I saw in my history books. The bride is stubborn and unclassy. She just has bad taste and doesn't listen to honest opinions.
That piece dangling in front bothered me SO much.
I'm sure there are other dramatic beautiful dresses too.
I know the dress is not cheap price wise but it sure has a cheap look. She is a beautiful young woman and her mother is trying to guide her to a more classy, glamorous style. In this case, I agree with Mom!
20years from now, she is going to be asking her mother, "How could you let me get such a dress?" lol
I chose the dress my mom picked and after 60 years ,looking at my album, I still hate the dress.Sad.
LMAO will according to Dolly Parton it takes an awful lot of money to look that damn cheap😂❤
Still her wedding
Yeah. I was a bit shocked when they said it was Pnina, her dresses are usually wow and over the top, but also "one of a kind". This one just looks like a lot of different pieces were thrown together without any love or care.
It's not a "wow" dress. It's a "meh" dress.
But the bride loves it, so that is that.
This is an example of the dress is wearing her instead of her wearing the dress. Sometimes you gotta listen to your mother! :)
That is whole lotta dress! Her mom knows best in this case! Years later I tried my size two wedding dress on it had big ruffles on the back with a bow. I fell down laughing and my two sisters laughed with me! It was a young & dumb choice for sure
No, you gotta listen to your heart no matter what anyone else says, including your mother! That means, even if everyone else thinks you have poor taste LOL
I agree, but I think that's the look she wanted.
@@stonew1927really? Then pay for it yourself!
No you don't. It's HER wedding, not yours or her mothers. Whether or not you think she looks good or not doesn't mean anything, if she feels beautiful, the its the dress for her
"I want it to be classy, but that's not her, that's not my daughter"... probably the most respectful way you could say that you think your daughter usually dresses like trash, lol
not necessarily classy doesnt mean its trash. theres a lot of styles that may be considered "unclassy" for being too revealing or unconventional that are still considered super cute when styled well. (japanese gyaru is a good example)
I think the "that" meant the dress, not the term classy.
It’s a beautiful dress, it’s appropriate to her style. Classy is not the only style.,I am the person who always goo for classy look, whites and monochromatic looks, least bling and classy hair, but I love people who dress otherwise as well. It’s their personality out there and we all should be celebrated the way we are. It’s a wedding dress for God’s sake. It is about her and her man and the god…
Well, there will certainly be a “wow” moment when she walks down the aisle. “Wow! What was she thinking!”
Who cares? It's her dress, she likes it.
It kind of looks like 4 dresses got thrown into a blender lol
wedding smoothie... how... gross!
She's rather petite so the dress was too much for her frame. But, it's the bride who has to wear it. One day she may look back and say "what was I thinking?!"
This comment is spot on!
I think the bride fills the dress out beautifully! She's no shrinking violet, she shines with confidence, a woman who knows what makes her heart happy. She picked the right dress!
She didn't, the second dress was the right choice. The dress was wearing her in this case, it wasn't her wearing the dress. @@deborahwilson8482
Not necessarily. Everyone’s different. Maybe if she got a more simpler one she’d look at it in the future and regret picking something “so plain”.
I don't agree. She loves this dress with no reservations, and I think she would regret not getting this dress. I loved how she stood up to her mother without getting nasty or mean. Despite their disagreement, the bride and her mother show a great deal of respect and love for each other.
The mother was right, and it's nice she can handle the dress the daughter will wear. I'm shocked someone would even design such a dress.
Heinous
Gypsy wedding taste.
that's honestly pretty tame by pnina standards.
I agree with you, they have to stop with those gawdy pickups, they look trashy.
Designers create such dresses specifically for people like this bride. It over the top & that’s what they want. People can disagree but it’s just their opinion of what they don’t want to wear. If the bride loves it feels it makes her look pretty, why would anyone even a family member try to enforce their opinion?! That’s ludicrous!
As a wedding manager, I always thought the really beautiful brides presented better in simple graceful styles that brought attention to themselves rather than the dress.
Well, I'm glad I don't have such an opinionated b**** is my wedding planner. It's not your job to have an opinion on what the bride wears. That's not what they pay you for. You should post your business link here so everybody knows to avoid you. I don't like the dress either but when I go in to do a job when my patients come to me and they have issues and I'm their therapist, it's not my job to have an opinion. Just like it's not your job to have an opinion. Gross real gross.
It’s all about her style, it’s not for attention, but her forever style. May be for you she is average, so,what?…
Who cares what others think?? She loves it, you’re entitled to your opinion but you’re a jerk still if you ruin her day
I gotta say, it doesn't happen often, but this was one of those times where I really disliked what the bride chose. That dress only looked good on her because she was beautiful already, but she wasn't wearing the dress - it was wearing her. I almost always have a "Wow" moment when they walk out in the one - and I didn't get that with any of the dresses she had on.
Pnina’s dresses always look like they belong on a Vegas show girl. 😬🤦🏻♀️
The second dress was the best.
They look like lingerie too.
I know, I don't know why anyone wears her dresses.
The dress Randy picked has an ethereal feel. Reminds me of the 19th century dresses worn by British aristocracy I saw in my history books. The bride is stubborn and unclassy. She just has bad taste and doesn't listen to honest opinions.
You mean luxury Vegas STRIPPER
The second dress gave her chest an odd concave flat look.
Pnina Tornai might be the worst thing that ever happened to wedding dresses
👏👏👏
They were once tasteful but now they are downright trashy with sparkles IMO....
I was just going to say that. Did Pnina's sense of style deteriorate over time? Or is she, possibly, just supplying the kind of dresses that are in demand? I would never have worn a dress with so much bling, and I'm delighted that my daughter chose a dress with zero bling.
I miss Hayley Paige dresses.
yeah the see through panels that some of her styles have make me think of strippers
Prina designs for the financially wealthy, but tastefully poor...
Couldn’t agree more!! 👏👏👏👏
Even if I were wealthy, I wouldn’t get anything Pnina. They are so ugly!
I haven't read a more accurate description 😂😂
Exactly. They tend to be on the trashy-looking side.
@@saradecapua3264 Yes, she has actually been quite "smart" in finding her "niche market" that guarantees her maximum, long-term profits.
I'm a qualified Counsellor & personally, I wouldn't trust her opinion, or want her as a friend myself. I see & get some very unsettling "vibes" from her.
Watch her eyes (the mirrors of the soul) when she "interacts" with would be, or actual clients...
Mom is definitely right in this case. The first dress was horrendous.
Still her wedding 😂
Totally agree with the mom!
Bless her heart but that dress was tacky with a capital “T”.
Exactly and it is a Pnina so I am not shocked.
capital and bold "T"
That bride could pull that dress off!
that is one ugly dress, mom is right
Mom had the same expression that I have regarding that monstrosity!😂
Every bride deserves to wear exactly what she wants... SHE loves it, and she can afford it, so I'm so happy for her!!
She wants to look cheap in an expensive dress! I feel bad for the mother... 😢
Its horrendous
@@bhquilterwhy feel bad for her? She should prefer the bride to pick a dress she likes, not one everyone else likes.
@@gabbycraft7035 I feel bad that she's going to look back on the wedding photos and go.. oh..
Yes thank you
Randy has such good communication skills. I wish I could be like that. He is so good at saying what is true for him, while understanding where other people are coming from and being able to express it.
That's what gay people do!!!!
I've already voiced my negative opinion about Pnina designs. Who the heck decides who is an elite designer? Big prices don't mean good taste. But you have to go with what the bride wants. It's their day.
I think it’s a mix of being expensive and only being wearable for a certain body type. Makes it aspirational for a lot of brides.
Duh
I’ve asked the same question about who has decided what literature should be read by all to be considered educated. Who gets to decide what is art? I agree about the dress. It’s ugly and looks tacky and cheap.
I like how Randy kicked it back to the consultant and showed respect for her judgement.
That first dress was too much for her, it over powered her
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Daughter was a Carnival dress and Mom wants a normal dress.
I like that her Grandma stepped in to remind her mother that it was the bride's dress.
Then maybe the grandma should have paid for it. Or the bride herself. When you expect someone else to pay thousands of dollars for you, then they get a say. Period.
@catladyfromky4142 Are you serious right now? So, because someone pays for something, they suddenly get to bulldoze over someone else’s emotions and choices? What kind of warped, manipulative logic is that? A wedding dress isn’t just a piece of clothing-it’s a deeply personal expression of the bride’s identity, and no one, not even the person paying for it, has the right to hijack that moment. Grandma was right to remind the mother that it’s the bride’s dress, not hers. What’s next? You think parents should pick the spouse too, just because they paid for the wedding? Your ‘pay = control’ mindset is toxic and selfish, and it reeks of entitlement. Gifts given with conditions and power trips aren’t gifts-they’re weapons.
Here’s a newsflash: no amount of money entitles you to steamroll someone’s autonomy or joy. If you’re the kind of person who thinks giving financial help gives you the right to dictate someone’s life, do everyone a favor and keep your wallet closed. The world doesn’t need more control freaks with superiority complexes.
I'm glad the bride stood up to her mother. You could see the difference in her face and body language when she wore the more understated dresses. She'd have forever regretted it if she'd worn her mother's choice of gown.
I fall in love with the dresses that's behind the people speaking everytime!! They're só beautiful!! 🤍🪽
Though it isn't my preference in bridal gowns, it the right dress for this bride. When we look at some of the gowns Pnina makes, as well as some other designers, with a lot of skin showing, Mom should be glad her daughter wasn't attracted to them! Grandma was right.
That's a good point. At least the dress isn't see through like so many Pnina dresses. As for "plain and boring," that second dress seemed pretty "complicated" to me and the dress she chose would be my nightmare. It has so many different elements it's like noise to the ears, but for the eyes. It's overwhelming, but that's me. To her it's perfect and it's her wedding.
Not really… you could barely see the bride in all that fabric
That is why I loved Paris Hilton dress. It was so classy
The bride is an over-the-top and in-your-face type of personality, and that dress suits her personality to a tee. She won't change her personality and she will still love that dress on her 25th wedding anniversary.
RIGHT ON !!
Yep.
I have to admit i don't like the dress, but, it's her day... congrats.
I didn’t like any of them. Good thing I’m not involved!
My thoughts exactly. All the dresses were horrendous!
Totally agree with mom on this one.
Can we just stop for a second and appreciate the beauty and class of the 2nd dress?
yes it was classy and gorgeous!
NO!!! 😳🤯
honestly, all the dresses were kind of ugly, but the bride liked the first one.
I thought the second dress was really boring.
@@eeriecraft1797I thought they were all ugly.
lol.. the pom poms on the front. Seriously? Not to mention the duvet wrapped around her waist.
Like a '57 Chevy. Pom Poms?
It's fugly beyond belief. The pom poms are so out of place.
I’m shocked that the daughter thought the second gown was plain and boring. It was gorgeous. He had enough bling, it was a gorgeous silk/satin and the pick-ups were done really well. The first gown is a monstrosity.
But it’s up to the brides taste.
A thin strap of rhinestones and a sparky belt might have helped the bride like the second dress. I thought the second dress was too low on her chest.
Yes, that second one was gorgeous on her!
The dress this bride liked was truly a collection of everything and anything. There is no unified concept. It feels Pnina just threw together leftovers of random fabrics and bling. I wish she would listen to her mom this time.
I totally understand the bride, I am a person too who loves so much going on kinda dresses. i think it looks fabulous on her.😍
that dress is hideous
Most Pnina dresses are....ugly, gaudy, tacky, and overpriced.
Pnina’s dresses always look like they belong on a Vegas show girl.
@@ToLoveIsToLive89 Vegas show girls generally have better taste.
@@MrsBrit1I was about to say that!
@@ToLoveIsToLive89Yup and a number of them look like nightgowns and lingeries.
"Everyone will look at her and say "my goodness Bernadette has such elegant and good taste, and you know, look at her daughter."" Nice motivation right there. Even if that's the way you really feel, one could attempt to frame it in a manner that's not dripping with narcissism.
Bit rude to go and ask Randy when they already have a consultant
He does have a good eye though. I have to give him 5hat.
He does have a g pod eye. That said, I wouldn’t want him to be part of an appointment of mine. Did you hear what he said… “I’m in the middle here?” He wouldn’t be if he let the consultants do their jobs =on their own.
Right? That was also humiliating for Sarah that he said the dress was hideous and you can see her, just 2 feet in front. Let her do her damn job!
Why does everyone fawn over Pnina? She seems nice enough but maybe one of her designs is nice. The rest are simply hideous and beyond overpriced
"I've been waiting for this my whole life" She's 24 !! Calm down
I respect the mother for sticking to her guns. She's allowed to have an opinion and a taste. She got overruled but she was gracious about being overruled.
Yes she can have an opinion but can't force it.
As soon as heard ‘Pnina’, I knew it was going to be a doozy. Her prices are Saks, design and quality is SHEIN.
Quality is SHEIN lol
😂
Still not the right dress with #3, I don’t think any of the dresses suit her.
Yeah, it was getting closer as they went, but still not spectacular. I would have put her in something more form fitting to flatter her petite frame. A simple silhouette to please mom, but the fabric could be a beaded lace to please the bride. Idk, I guess the consultants mainly just want that commission, if a bride is ready to drop almost $8k on a Pnina dress, they won't stop her no matter how bad it looks.
I agree.
Dress 3 was dress 1 again.
As the mother of a gen-z young lady, all I want is for her to be incredibly loved, cared for, supported and protected by her man. The dress is a thing worn in a moment of life. The marriage is the most important part of the wedding
The mother reminds me of Fran Drescher now that she's older. The skin tone, the hair colour, the smile and even the voice. 😮
Thanks!
Im pretty sure this is an old episode 10+ years ago, I wonder what she feels about her wedding dress after looking back 🫣😀
When I was a kid i would watch this show all the time and was convinced that someday I would want a Panina Tornay dress. But NOW as an adult i can't believe how tacky and cheap her dresses look. And the price is such a rip off.
@avacadotoast5492 Pinina Tornei is more about sexual dresses than dresses appropriate for weddings.
that dress that she chose … well, I’m not a PT fan, her dresses are far too over the top and I just don’t get it. If I wanted a costume, I’d have a costume designer do it.
Not a PT fan, but just to point out that you are not her target client 😮
@@Nina01. so? What’s your point? To argue with me? Bye!
@@jeswainstonloser
Oh, we get it-you’re not a fan of Pnina Tornai, and you just had to let everyone know. Here’s the thing: no one cares. The bride chose a dress that made her feel beautiful, and that’s what matters-not your unsolicited critique. Calling it a ‘costume’ is just a petty attempt to invalidate someone else’s joy because it doesn’t align with your taste. Newsflash: not every bride dreams of plain, cookie-cutter gowns that fade into the background. If over-the-top isn’t for you, great, but keep your snide comments to yourself. This isn’t your wedding, your dress, or your moment. Stop trying to act like a self-appointed fashion critic-it’s embarrassing.
@ NEWSFLASH for you. I don’t care about YOUR opinion LOL…don’t let it ruin your day. 🤣
The only opinion that ultimately matters is the bride! Her day, her dress. We all have different taste. She loved it so she was happy & glowing. Sweet & wise grandma!!
My daughters picked what they loved and I loved it with them.
The mother was right 🙈
Still is her wedding 😂
🙈? Really? You’re so proud of your take that you’re hiding behind an emoji like it adds some kind of weight to your nonsense? Let me tell you something: the mother wasn’t ‘right.’ She was trying to impose her will and steamroll her daughter on what’s supposed to be the bride’s special day. A wedding dress reflects the bride’s personality, not her mother’s control issues. If you think a parent’s need to micromanage is more important than the bride’s happiness, you might want to reevaluate what respect and love actually look like. That emoji won’t save you from being absolutely wrong here.
Glad she got her dress but I happen to agree with Mom. That dress is singularly hideous
Randy, one of the MOST fun and appealing aspects of watching these videos is your unassuming humility. 😂😂😂
I don’t understand mothers who have been waiting for their daughter’s wedding their entire life. Am I the odd one??
Agreed with the mom...dress was horrible. She should've kept shopping. Consult was happy with a designer commission. She can careless what the mom thinks. 😢
Man to hear the comments at the wedding lol.
I agree with the mom 100% - and respect her for not standing in the way of her daughter
Kudos to this beautiful bride that knew how she wanted to look on her day.
I’m just glad she did not pick the second dress she tried on because it did look boring. The first and second dresses she tried on are beautiful. ❤
Im 68, but if I were to ever get married again, I would want to have Randy design the dress.
I feel like that girl picked the dress just because her mother hated it, and it was really ugly on her. That’s probably one of the ugliest bride dresses I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s like someone wadded up wet toilet paper and threw it at her and she acted like she loved it.🤮
"I want it to look classy, but that's not her." Jesus, Mom, you just couldn't keep that nugget to yourself? 🤐
That dress is awful!
I agree and most of Pnina’s dresses are awful.
At least this one doesn't have see through panels.
Awww I like it you can wear such a dress when you are a real beauty and young her face is glowing in it .... ♥its all about love ♥
I really don't like Pnina Tornai dresses. So tasteless.
Hate her half naked dresses.
Her dresses are Tacky tasteless and overpriced
Thats ur opinion and very ridiculous! Smh u have no taste
@@KristiLynch-d5g I just like different things to you. That doesn't mean I have no taste! It would be a boring world if we were all the same. Take care x
I thought the dress was hideous but the bride loved it so that’s what counts!
Trusting she nixes the over skirt. The actual dress portion, looked great on her figure...not a fan that design either, but if you remove the fluff you can see an actual wedding dress shape. NIX THE OVER SKIRT. For MOM! Meet us all in the middle. *Use the skirt for the cake table tablecloth. WIN WIN save on catering expense.
I can't say I care for Pnina dresses, but the bride made the right choice for HER. Randy's thoughts were coming from a place of personal taste and style. But the Mother was not; she was coming from a place of judgement. She kept asking what "other people will think." She didn't necessarily like the 2nd dress because she thought it looked good (I actually thought it was boring). She liked it because it wouldn't warrant criticism. I 100% support the bride on this one.
It’s gaudy
I am with the Mother on this dress. BUT it is her Daughters wedding dress. But her mother did do it. She gave in at the end and said it was her daughters day more or less. At least she didn’t act like a lot of the mothers do, and that is being disrespectful. All ended good in the end. She will not be able to dance in that dress and she’s gonna get tired of lugging it around for a few hours. 🥰🐾
randy at 1:35 was sooo cute
I have to agree with the mother about the first dress...so much going on in the design of it that it lost its integrity of design. But likewise the daughter has to have the final say. At her budget of $7k, you'd think there would be lots of dress options.
Conflicts like this are asinine. You know you and your mother have different tastes. You've likely known this for several years. You are an adult and can pick the dress you like. Your mom who you know has different tastes doesn't love your dress. You shouldn't try to make her love it. She gave her opinion and said she wants you to be happy. Anything beyond that is moronic to even try for
SO ADORABLE BABY. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Put the dress in storage after the wedding and work on staying married until DEATH do us part.
I saw this episode years ago and it’s my favourite As a mother of two brides, I know the stress of dress buying and trying to be positive about the bride’s choices.
I hope the wedding was fun for all and that the couple have a happy, over the top life.
Great comment. That’s the way it should be.
Mother knows best.
The Pnina dresses are always costume-y and they tend to wear the bride rather than the other way around.
The silhouette was nice on her but the design is like the glitter and flowers exploded onto the dress. A lot of unnecessary details thrown on it…like Pnina doesn’t know when to stop detailing her dresses. 🤦♀️
Randy bout to hire that grandma 😂
I agree with the mum 🤷🏽♀️
I love Randy 😂❤
It's always a matter of taste. Everybody likes different styles! I personally don't like many Pnina Tornai dresses, and even this one not in all parts. But I find it really special and made for this bride's beautiful figure. I'm really really she chose it despite of it all. She wears it beautifully, and am positive she will like her wedding photos even after many decades ⚜
The other two dresses were so dull.🤦♀️ I'm so glad she took the first one.
Maybe it’s just cus I’m autistic but whenever the mother of the bride says ‘I’ve been waiting MY whole life for this moment’ I don’t believe them cus I just imagine a three year old being like ‘my dream is to have a daughter and then have her get married’
BHAHAHAA. Same. And it's kinda creepy, too. Like...why exactly is THAT your dream? Soooo your child is not a person that you want to see thrive and mature and see them blossom, but a dress model. Cool, cool. Good to know. It's just weird.
Fits her like a glove, though
2:24 so we're not going to trust your consultant lol
The bride likes it, it's her dress, she's wearing it. Grandma's right
Her mom is so cute they all look healthy together
Wish we'd see more mom's realize that neither the dress their daughter's choose or the wedding day isn't about them it's their daughter's day not theirs!
I don’t think she meant to take away from her daughter’s day. She just truly didn’t like the dress and didn’t think she looked her best in it. If the daughter didn’t want her opinion then she should have gone shopping by herself.
They asked the mom her opinion and she very graciously gave it. I don’t get all this mom dissing
❤ Grandma is wonderful
As soon as they put a veil on, the dress is magically perfect lol
The power of the veil compels you!
It was a horrible veil, though. I prefer
Cathedral veils.
And she will be wearing the veil when she wears the overskirt, so it works for everybody.
Whatever wedding dress my sweet baby sister would want, big sister will buy her! 💜
Exactly mom. It's not about you, it's about your daughter and what makes her feel the most beautiful despite what others think. Even though the overskirt is a bit much it's only going to be worn for the ceremony. She's taking the overskirt off for the reception and the dress underneath suits her well.
Let the woman wear what she wants is her wedding!!!!!!
I can't believe everyone is slamming that dress!!! Especially that mother was SO rude and unkind to her and on national tv!!!! 👎
Does everyone just block out that she's only wearing the 'puffy' skirt for the ceremony!!!
It's coming off after that, for the reception and or anytime she wants if she changes her mind!!! The actual dress is stunning and she looks amazing in it!!! 👍👏👏
Get a grip people!!!
As long as the bride picks out the perfect groom - the dress is - not important.
Believe it or not, fashion is not the same as "good taste". Two different concepts.
You know what I think the bride said it best. It’s not about certain standards it’s about what you like and aesthetics are essentially subjective. All the dresses looked beautiful she chose the one she felt most special in.
*I’m actually shocked Randy didn’t take the bride’s side* Even her Nona just wanted her granddaughter to be happy & let the bride wear what she wanted to wear 🙈
Maybe it's because that dress is hideous
Maybe he wants the focus on the bride and that dress would be all about the dress
Rule of thumb I’ve learned working as a apparel sales supervisor is: Even if the garment or customer looks “hideous;” you tell them they look great. As an employee, u represent every item u sell at the store. Also what may look “hideous” to some may be beautiful to others. One person’s (or 2 in this case) opinion isn’t the almighty opinion. People have different fashion & style choices. But idk maybe you’re the reincarnated version of *CoCo Chanel* so if that’s the case then we’ll take your word for it
3:04 "Oh, gaudy? I'm all about gaudy, Ma!
😂
I love this bride even tho my tastes are more in line with her Mom's.
This is the best comment
Not a fan of dress #2 either…
Mom is gorgeous and absolutely right! That dress was not it. Rarely have I see a Pnina gown on this show that looks good. They're always so tacky and costumey and costly.
