    Thank you so much for this demonstration! I don't think I have seen anyone use the MPC Key 61 quite like this yet.

      Thank you! It's taken a few years but I feel fairly comfortable with the platform at this point.

    Damn it. Now that it's dropped down to 1,500, I may have to get one. 4 months ago I got a Nautilus, a month later, Fantom 06. I've barely had time to play much, but at this price, I'd love to add this to the stable. 1st world problems.... 😂

    Hey Tefty, one of the things I'd love to hear more about is third party keygroups.
    I know mpc-samples make some and I've tried a couple (I thought they were good) but I wonder in your opinion how usable they'd be. I think they do some pianos - do they stack up to fabric? Possibly unlikely - but is that proposition changed when they don't take up a plugin slot? What about memory considerations? And then they have synth sounds also. When is it reasonable to get away with a rompler synth sound versus an actual synth engine? How many of these can you load up? All interesting considerations I'd love to hear your take on.

      From my experience, you can load a lot of them up. Depends on how complex they are. If they're coming off the SD card, it'll take a bit longer to load. The sampler keygroup sound design options are decent, but missing a lot of modulation routing options. It's actually one of the things I'd love to see get expanded in the MPC software.
      So yeah, lots of options out there. Sampled keygroups are an excellent way to expand, but they'll also never be like the original synth/instrument/source. So just keep that in mind.

    How you enjoying mpc key 61 been really thinking about buying it .. already own the force and mpc one .. I just love how the key has it all in one what you think is it worth paying 2600$ Canadian for it

    • @teftymusictech
      @teftymusictech  Год назад +1

      Cost wise it's tough. Technically you can just hookup an external midi keyboard to the One and have something close. But having it all in one box feels really great. If you can swing it, I'd buy one with a decent return window so you can send it back if you don't like it or end up preferring the One/Force combo over the Key 61 👍

      @@teftymusictech I def enjoy my force and one mostly use it with my dj setup but the key 61 would use mostly for keyboard things. I’m gonna get one money not the issue it’s more is it worth getting if I own the one and force but hey if you think so I just put the order in now . Heheh should have it next week . Looking forward to it looks honestly dope . I’m gonna get a 2tier rack so can add my key 61 and Arturia 61mk2

      Honestly there’s a bunch of bugs that don’t get shown on most of these videos , I felt it to almost be unusable in a crate dig/ sample based use for a production, I also got no support from akai from any of the issues , I ended up selling it and sticking with my live 2 and X , maybe with some updates it will be cool but right now I’d honestly advise against the investment until they iron everything out

      @@no1semach1ne i decided to get a Digitone Key and Digitakt and Syntakt also and hook a midi keyboard to this wow unreal sounds and creation and stuff you can make with this kit . I’m much happier with this then MPC 61 I tried the MPC 61 in a store and it felt cheap and kind of boring I prefer my Akai force and MPC one much better workflow I didn’t like the workflow on MPC 61 it just felt buggy and all over the place from the 1 hour I spent on it at a store and that’s what made me change my mind and go full on Elektron
