My memory traveled through the day he performed in a city of Mexicali BC inauguration of a the beautiful bullfights Plaza Calafia Tijuana's musicians Union send me to work for him on percussions... Sax player Norbert Fimpell just had reached the first year on the band since Joe got him from Argentina. In this interview he mentioned as an answer for the audience about how he is putting together the number of songs for a performance, he talks about the new musicians lined on the band but at that time Mr Fimpell a saxophone man was the only one still with him among the new people because at the Australia's tour not to long after this interview l found Norbert on th crew aligned with all other new musicians so, when he depart on December the 14th 2015 l was at home inVancouver Washington my heart and soul just painfully cray. Rest in peace the most beautiful voice on Rock.

sHe is such a sweet, almost shy person in interviews. Today's generation could use a Joe Cocker.

In 1976 him and his band stopped in Milk River Alberta (tiny farm town) before they crossed the border into the USA. They stayed for 4 days probably consuming all their drugs before Customs and they set up in a farmers wheat field and played a killer show. Us teenagers loved it but he friggin’ freaked out the older generation with his antics and stage style. It was truly a thing to witness!

Joe mentions that some people want him to do covers just like the original artists. That would be a waste. He is one of the great interpreters, often or even usually able to surpass the original versions.

It’s outrageous that Joe isn’t in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. When will those clowns 🤡 wake up and do the right thing.
