I want to believe it's true, that Glyn would have erased what he'd done if Joe had disapproved. I loved Joe Cocker. A gentle and gifted soul.

The famous deserted island albums: Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Get Yer Yaya's out, One More From the Road, Delaney and Bonnie and friends, JJ Cale (all of them), and maybe Exile on Main Street... and some others.

Glyn rescued the "Let it Be" takes also, made them into an album. Then "Get Back" happened years later. His first studio work as producer was Steve Miller.

The story I heard way back in the day was the Joe was on the verge of being deported from the U.S. unless he went to work somewhere. Leon caught wind of this and offered to do a tour with Joe. And the rest is history.

Not deported, what are you talking about? He was being blackmailed by some scumbag producer who forced him to play the tour or have him blacklisted by the "music mafia."
