I owned an M5 until recently. It was a great car but at about 1900kg it was too heavy. I now have an M4, which isn't as quick but in practice it's much more nimble. This M5 weighs as much as my M4 plus the first car I ever bought (a Citroen AX GT) added together. It's insane. An M car shouldn't weigh two and a half tons.
Imagine if manufacturers built cars these days without all the added crap we don’t need. With suspension, chassis and engine technology, we could have the perfect drivers car. Like the old M5 used to be.

Back in the rovers/Ford/peugeot had to pay extra for rear seat belts,head rests and a passenger side mirror Ffs but bmw probably came with a cigarette lighter as standard 😅
Design cool, but its not BMW design. Previously, one would see an animal looking at you whenever the lights lit, no matter the Generation. Now its just dolphins and butterflies.

The interior is mind blowing, unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the body design, maybe it will take some time to get used to... I can't wait for a drag race with all the M5 generations. I bet this one it will not be the winner

Why didn't they keep their signature round steering wheel with the round air bag. It just looks so much better with the BMW logo and it's better for drifting. Really don't like that change in most new BMWs..

I just don't understand why car makers don't make flush infotainment systems and clusters anymore, that big screen is lovely would've been nice if it was just integrated in the dashboard, not sticking out like some aftermarket headunit ...
