    Upon reviewing your comparative analysis between the XAG P100 Pro and DJI T40 drones, I find certain aspects of the methodology and results warrant further clarification.
    XAG P100 Pro:
    - Speed: 13.8 m/s
    - Spray Width: 10 meters
    DJI T40:
    - Speed: 10 m/s
    - Spray Width: 11 meters
    Let's calculate the efficiency for each drone.
    The operational efficiencies for the two drones are as follows:
    XAG P100 Pro: 138.0 square meters per second
    DJI T40: 110 square meters per second
    The fundamental efficiency formula (Efficiency = Speed x Spray Width) suggests a higher operational efficiency for the XAG P100 Pro (138.0 square meters per second) compared to the DJI T40 (110 square meters per second). However, the outcomes of your test appear to contradict this calculation. In pursuit of understanding this discrepancy, I present the following observations and inquiries:
    1) It was noted that the XAG P100 Pro frequently hovered, awaiting the DJI T40's takeoff. This behavior seemingly impacts the P100 Pro's efficiency adversely. Was this factor considered in your efficiency assessment?
    2) The operational protocol during the test seemed to favor the DJI T40; it was returned for refills more promptly compared to the XAG P100 Pro, which often exhausted its full container before returning. Could this have skewed the efficiency comparison?
    3) The return speed of the P100 Pro appeared noticeably slower, especially during manual operation. This could potentially affect overall efficiency metrics. How was this accounted for in your analysis?
    4) A discrepancy was observed in the use of guide points; it appears that only the XAG drone was subjected to this constraint. What was the rationale behind this decision?
    Further, from the specific timestamps in your video:
    - At the 2-minute mark, the latching mechanism of the XAG drone seemed less cumbersome than depicted, unlike the DJI’s sensor-laden latch, which frequently malfunctioned.
    - Around the 5-minute mark, the initial sorties were standard. However, subsequent operations indicated a waiting pattern by the XAG drone for the DJI T40, negating the former’s speed advantage.
    - Notably, at 21:35, the XAG drone was manually landed with substantial remaining resources, prematurely ending its operation, which may have misrepresented its efficiency.
    - Lastly, at 25:25, the video displayed several uncompleted routes by the XAG drone, which contradicts its known capabilities for full autonomy and precision.
    In conclusion, the testing conditions and operational protocols seem to have not favored the advanced capabilities of the XAG P100 Pro. I recommend a reassessment of the methodology to provide a fair and accurate comparison.

      Looking at your page, you are obviously an XAG account that collects DJI crash videos, which is pretty hilarious. It's inevitable that crashes happen, both XAG and DJI, but it's almost always pilot error from being too cocky or confident, which I can attest to. What really matters is how fast you can get parts and repairs, and DJI is years ahead of XAG in this. Whenever I've had an issue with my T30 and T40, I can get parts shipped to me the same day or the next and I'm back in the air.
      To address your issues with the video:
      1) Where did the P100 hover waiting for the T40's takeoff? I watched the whole video and didn't see this. The P100 stopped mid flight and began hovering in the middle of the field.
      2) To me it looked like the drones were returned for refills when they were back nearby the trailer. Pretty standard operation procedure, and pretty equal treatment if you ask me.
      3) Both drones had multiple landings, refills, and battery swaps, and it looks like they were a mix of manual and automatic return-to-homes. Manual control was taken when the drones were already in close proximity to the trailer, so maaaybe the manual landings slowed the procedure down by a few seconds at most. I think this can be considered negligible. In my experience, manual landing can actually be faster than automatic landing, too.
      4) Can you give a timestamp for this? I don't remember any mention of 'guide points'?
      To address the additional grasping and nitpicking for benefits of the P100:
      - Looks like the latching mechanism at 2:00 is actually much more difficult to use... Where did the DJI "sensor-laden latch" frequently malfunction in this video?
      - Around the 5-min mark, Taylor spends a minute explaining the XAG controller, which mindbogglingly uses a cell phone, attached to the RC, which then communicates to the drone over wifi. So if you were really looking for something to complain about in this comparison, it would be that he didn't launch the drone as quickly as he could have. I don't see any "waiting pattern". And the fact that you called the flights "sorties" screams to me that you wrote your reply in Chinese and used google or baidu translate.
      - Your comment about 21:35 is highly misleading. The reason they took manual control is because the P100 had a malfunction and landed itself in the middle of the field.
      - At 25:25 I'd say the video speaks for itself. The software under the hood of the XAG is buggy and unreliable, and obviously contradicts the marketed "full autonomy" you guys keep spouting.
      Frankly I'm disturbed at how many upvotes this comment got. If anyone watched the video, they would see for themselves. Most people don't have time to watch a 30 min video and will just check the top comments, and this negative marketing from XAG if left unchecked is highly persuasive.

      @@joevergreenthese guys really have no idea how to run the XAG…. They sell T40s, of course this is a biased comparison. The XAG absolutely kills the T40 in acres per hour, especially if you run 3gpa or more. As for service, I have a Terraplex service center less than 2 hours from me and I could easily get same day parts. But I carry spare everything on hand so I’m never in a bind. Btw I ran a T20 for a year, so I’m very aware of how they function.
      These guys really do a clunky job of running the XAG.

    You need to let everyone know that there is a very big issue with the T40 hitting the connection points. The T40 will hit the connection point on the way in, but will not on the way out. This is a very big deal when spraying fields with limited access. Also, I've spent hours and hours on each machine, the battery life is nowhere close. The XAG will batteries will last about 30% longer. Absolutely necessary for accessing fields that aren't in direct proximity to the takeoff point.

    I think you guys should get a bit more experience with XAG under your belt and do another review. We work with both here in NZ and the Pro is well ahead in terms of productivity and build. 3000 litres in 5 hours is an actual real world number we did a couple nights ago. Both have their quirks no doubt but the pro gets shit done.

    Its great to learn of some of the comparisons, seems both craft have their advantages and disadvantages, I have only ever operated DJI product, so would always lean towards that. It would be good to see some comparisons on rolling terrain and hillsides? Maybe someone from XAG could put the time into doing that? Keep up the good work Agri Spray Drones.

    I run a flying service, and I am thinking of getting a drone to use for smaller fields that are difficult to get into and out of with a plane. In a half mile long with no obstacles, I would opt to use the plane that would do that job in a few minutes, or about three passes. I would like to see a demo in smaller odd-shaped fields with obstacles, such as wires, houses and trees, which is what I would use the drone for.

    DJI's image transmission is much more stable, and remains stable even over long distances. Remember, DJI is a world leader in drone technology and stable connections between the remote controller and drone is one of their core technologies. The DJI Relay Module further extends transmission range and stability, and even helps overcome signal interference from tall crops like corn. This makes it particularly suitable for managing large land areas, such as those in the United States. The T40’s remote control, the DJI RC Plus, Its large, bright, widescreen display is easy to see, even in direct sunlight on sunny days. It’s important to continually monitor the drone’s status during flight, and this is less strenuous on the eyes with a DJI RC Plus compared to squinting at a cellphone screen.The T40’s FPV camera, mounted on a gimbal, enables straight-down viewing for aerial surveying and map building. This is especially useful for land areas with numerous obstacles. Pre-surveying and planning help secure the operational process. This eliminates the need for additional aerial survey aircraft and map-building software.

    I highly appreciate the channel. My questions are always about how much wind these drones can effectively fly in? The envelope can be very challenging here in South Dakota. It’s definitely worth a lot harder look.

    I have had the chance to operate both and the T40 is by far more user friendly. The XAG may have a slight advantage on the hardware side but the T40 takes the edge overall in my opinion. Another point to add with being in the US my friend with the XAG struggles to get any support.

    It’s clear you guys need additional training on the XAG operations and capabilities. As so called leaders in the industry I would have hoped you would have received prior to this review. Something else that troubles me is your disregard to part 107 requirements and requirements of your COA to operate over 55 lbs. For example, you should have had a VO for each of those drones (cameraman doesn’t count). Also you turn your attention away from the T40 while it’s out flying to talk about the P100! We really need to set a good example.

It should not be difficult for these idiots to research and understand each of these drones and how to use them.     You dont know how to operate XAG drone. Its weapon in the field with correct hands. For first forget gps. XAG works a lot better, faster and accurately with VRTK. You dont need to manual land it and you dont need remote at all. Its dont DJI to use manual landing. Also spreader system is a lot different and Pro have 80 liters capacity tabk for spreader. Learn XAG and than compare.

      It's rubbish . Dji is way better plus the p100 is clearly stolen tech from Dji. An it crashes easily an takes long to long to sense where it's going in a field with obstacles. So sorry but china makes the best drones

    Wow, haven't even finished watching the video and it is clear you guys either have no idea about the XAG system or are purposely sabotaging the XAG P100 Pro to make the T40 look better than it is. Both on paper and in the real world the P100 Pro has the T40 on productivity and efficiency.
    Try doing an accurate comparison and you may get some of your credibility back.
    I'm sure the fact that you sell T40s had nothing to do with it!

    The standard P100 is way more efficient than the T40.
    The Pro absolutely smashes it. I don’t think these guys have much experience with the XAG platform.
    Learn how to use the drone properly and try again.

    The company I worked for had a P100 and it was the most unreliable POS we owned. They ordered the T40 and it actually worked flawlessly.

    These are still Lithium Ion batteries right? So your process of fully charging them and only running them down to 60% is surely crazy in terms of cell longevity?

      Do you have any idea what you’re talking about? Keeping any battery above 50% as a general rule is a good thing. Including phone and other electronics batteries. Lithium batteries are especially sensitive to this. Learn things and then post maybe????

      I think the op is asking about usage. The early cordless drills used maybe nycad batteries (not sure) and popular lore indicated near complete depletion then complete charging trained battery to increase longevity

      (one other software mention --- ONE of them is NOT GEO FENCED, which for fields near an airfield is a big selling point)

    This is all without mentioning the spreader. The DJI has a disc spreader which is 1980s technology. XAG has an auger metering system similar to decades old proven technology in Bourgault Air Carts. There is a reason no one uses disc spin spreaders anymore. Just not as accurate as an actual meter. The XAG dry metering system DESTROYS the DJI system.

    Seeing more and more that the XAG drones aren't performing as well as advertised, along with the operational software issues and phone\controller delay, it's quite disappointing makes the T40 shine a little more. I'm not sure what it is but I'm still torn between the two.

    Lol this is it? I could do this 20 hours a day. The drone landed itself bc it lost singnal, you need a signal booster. It happened to me also.

    This is the biggest BS review video I have seen so far. Firstly you will be failed by any aviation authority in any country with your unsafe operation, your mate is too close to your takeoff area during your takeoff and worse he wasn’t even watching!!! Secondly he clearly doesn’t know how to operate the XAG system as well as you know your DJI….. and mate where is your checklist!!!!!!
