Seriously. I’m so tired of these videos talking about small homes. We raised 3 sons in an 1,100 sq fit house with one bathroom. It’s the only house I’ve lived in since getting married. Skipping the video.
Good gosh. 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom (obviously with some land) is not petite. Just started watching the clip and find the house very cute from the front. This is bigger than my 1400 square foot home and I have housed many. Daisy must sleep the entire time she is at work. It doesn't look like she has access to the yard at all and there would need to be an enclosed area so she can't run off. I really do like the mud room with all the storage and a place for Daisy to sleep. The kitchen is just wonderful!
In the South it was for a very long time with low cost of living and low price per sq. ft. Until about last ten years but Mississippi hasn't had the influx of people like GA, FL, TN, TX and SCar So it's still got mid size houses with low roofs, petite, and decent yards for reasonable prices compared to most of USA. THAT'S what is going on in this video...
@@amandachilds5290You are correct. I’m 66 and spent my entire life in SC. We are overrun with a huge influx of people from non-Southern states. Dramatically different housing market.
Americans... they like bigger & better. (not all though, so don't jump on me, lol) But yeah - watch Love it or List it. Most couples always want a bigger house.
Two thousand square feet is NOT petite!! Especially for one person, dog or not. I'm downsizing from 1644 square ft to 1448 square ft in an open floor plan and two smallish bedrooms.
I wouldn't use the pull out dog food. For one thing, the dog uses it 24/7, so it would never close. Also, it would spill inside the cabinet. It's impractical for me. To each his own.
I like the pull out dog food feature. It’s against the wall so it’s fine to be left open then can be closed when company’s coming or you need the room.
You're sure about the 90sq ft. ? That only fits a bed and a dresser, it's the size of a midsized bathroom. I can't believe 1 person can live in 90sq ft. (With bathroom included) let alone 2🤨.❤
I live in Vancouver BC and I’m privileged to live in 950 sq ft condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, that is considered luxury here. I couldn’t imagine living in 2000 sq ft for just myself. The last house I owned in Winnipeg MB before I moved here was 1500 sq ft and that seemed huge to me. The very first house I purchased was 1000 sq ft which was great after moving from a small apartment. I guess everyone has different perceptions on how much space they need.
2000 sq.ft is huge in my book. I've lived as a single for years & my biggest house was around 1900 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths & was more than I needed. It was in TX. I live in 1275 sq ft now & it's too much! I'm looking at a 675 sq ft condo now!!! Smaller is better!!!
I love Erin and ben.i was wondering if they plan to help rebuild the devastation from helene.so far I haven't heard of anyone from HGTV helping.i was just wondering.they are so wonderful at turning a bad house into something wonderful.love you guys
Randomly came here. My home is a little over 1500 sq ft, so 2000 is not petite. And being 115k is a steal these days which makes me wonder how long ago this was.
Not a cement goose! They're all over my small, Indiana town! And, they have seasonal outfits! But no yard is complete without a trampoline and above-ground pool!
Yes, this rubbed me the wrong way too. How nice to have someone else do all the work, all the choosing. The young lady just gets to walk into her nice big house with two living areas, big kitchen, etc., big yard. Petite. Right. Must be nice.
I wonder, if the furniture is for staging or does it belong to the homeowner? It seems so old fashioned for a young single woman like her? Otherwise, the remodel was super nicely done
Most of the furniture used in HGTV shows like this are from staging companies. The homeowner receives the renovated house bare/ almost bare, unless the designer (Erin or other couples) uses the client's own furniture or artwork/ paintings. The client has the option to buy the furniture, if they wish. I've heard that the "special pieces" that Ben makes is not free but for sale.
@sheilaenglish9738 I also thought they were free but another poster said otherwise. Another one also said that Erin was a b*tch when offcam. (Sometimes I don't like her design choices but most times, I do.) So it's up to you what to believe, I guess.
Probably not included in the renovation, due yo budget concerns. It could also have been excluded from this RUclips clip. The whole episode is usually 40-50 min long.
It was also a thing in the 70's to have those half cabinets over the counter, island. Know that because I lived in a house built in the mid 70's and it had that. research?

2000 SQ ft is petite??!! I am raising 4 teenagers in under 900 SQ feet. 2000 would feel like a mansion!
Seriously. I’m so tired of these videos talking about small homes. We raised 3 sons in an 1,100 sq fit house with one bathroom. It’s the only house I’ve lived in since getting married. Skipping the video.
I think it was click bait
Exactly!
1200 square feet with a family of 7 and 1 bathroom...that's petite..not 2000
Exactly what I came here to say.
Ben and Erin are just the best they are so humble and down to earth they do absolutely amazing work❤❤❤

Depends on where you're at. Where I'm at 2000 is a small house.
2,000 sq is PETITE?!?!

Oh, that kitchen is to die for!!!❤❤❤
We’ve lived in a 1750 sq ft house for 32 years. We’ve done just fine. 🥰
My parents with nine kids lived in a 1700 sq ft home. We had plenty of space too.
That’s not the flex you think it is.
@ I’m not flexing. I’m not that complex. 🤣 I feel incredibly blessed. In many countries, our home would be considered a mansion. I’m very grateful.
2 thousand sq ft might not be big enough? Really, that's crazy. Just knock down a few walls.
For one person and one dog at that!
Some people don't like an open concept though
Americans... they like bigger & better. (not all though, so don't jump on me, lol) But yeah - watch Love it or List it. Most couples always want a bigger house.

I wish I knew that paint color for the lower kitchen cabinet's, its beautiful!
It looks like Forever Green
Sherwin-Williams
My lab and I live in 975 sq feet and it’s plenty of room for us.
2000 isn't a petite house! My goodness!
They are a wonderful pair and I like her style of decorating.

@mikeboothe makes sense 👍🏽
A petite house? A normal sized home for most of Americans. 😮😮😮
I really like the Tiffany-blue, through out the house
Me too! I love that color. ❤
Sea Spray, Sherwin-Williams
I really like the computer renderings as the designers explain their vision for renovation. Nice!
2000 sq is not petite because i live in 2000 sq .To be honest its huge 😊.Im grateful to God 😊❤
2000sf is a "petite" house??? Geez, what have we come to?
Stunning. Love how the house turned out. ❤
2,000 sq ft for one person? That’s enormous. My friend and her husband lived (happily) in 90 sq ft. Now that is small.
You're sure about the 90sq ft. ? That only fits a bed and a dresser, it's the size of a midsized bathroom. I can't believe 1 person can live in 90sq ft. (With bathroom included) let alone 2🤨.❤
Hopefully she remembers to put a child proof clip on Daisey's food cupboard. she will find a way when she gets lonely.
i already watched this episodes several times before,,,why still jumped again...

I’d like to see an entry door from the carport /porte cochere directly into the house.

That was NOT a classic 60s layout for the kitchen. Unless I'm missing something, it was renovated.
2000 sq ft is a big house!
Erin and Ben, please come to my 1200 sq ft duplex and open up our tiny home!
Even 1200 sq ft isn’t really “tiny”.
And I'm sorry how is the exterior different?
Why keep a dog's water bowl hidden away? Makes no sense.
Cute!
Not a cement goose! They're all over my small, Indiana town! And, they have seasonal outfits! But no yard is complete without a trampoline and above-ground pool!

I cannot believe you can buy a house for 115k, and that $2000 sq feet is considered small!
Kind of confused. Is the dog locked up in that room when the girl is away at work?
Did they say where this house is located?
Laurel, Mississippi?
2000 sq ft is called petite? Our first house was 1300 sq ft and we had 2 kids there. We thought it was quite nice and sufficient!
Same, 1300 sq ft and five kids. Enough room for everyone, even hosting guests from time to time.

I really wish they would have spent less time in the mud room and showed the rest of the house.
Love the kitchen
Instead of a built in dog bed cabinet, should have installed a dog shower. Daisy is likely crated
It was also a thing in the 70's to have those half cabinets over the counter, island. Know that because I lived in a house built in the mid 70's and it had that. research?
I agree. That isn't a petite house. We live in a 900 square. Ft. House as well.
Interesting how people describe different house sizes. Mine is 1700 sf and I would call it small/petite. I dream of 2000 sf!
Wow! You call 2K sq feet “petite”?
What about the rest of the house?
10,000 for the outside? A new door???and they
What city is this in??
Looks like South Carolina.
"just slide it..." Why you need a woman on every team #ingenious ideas 💡💯💯
2000 square feet is not petite. I have a 2000sqft home. It’s plenty of space.
Rerun...need new videos
Lütfen yeni bölüm 🙏
Yes, it's an old episode. I recognized the dog & dog room. Lol.
❤
You cannot buy anything for 200k here not even a studio apartment
Old video
which area is this in? Where can you find a 3 bed home with all that land for $115k? And that house is NOT petite!!!
Creepy thumbnail... 😮
I live in a 900sq ft 1956 ranch, this is house is NOT petite.
That is NOT petite! 2000 sq. ft. 3 bedroom. NOT small.
Siempre los mismos colores y diseños.
Petite? 2000sf?
Stop saying petite for 2000 sq foot house
Massive house for one person and dog 🤦♂️
These people are smug!☹️
2000 sq ft is not petite!!
Not a fan of this show at all... cheesy!
