It's very important to super treat the bed frame. I was horrified to see one on the mattress encasement. I took bed apart and soaked the bed frame with chemical. None since.
Bed Bug Mattress Covers are a great investment! Miss Dee, your idea to put Diatomaceous Earth inside the encasement is a great idea!! It's definitely important to do a full bed bug treatment (can be done yourself) in addition to using the bed bug mattress cover.
Driven out of my legless bed on a raised platform by 3 a.m. bedbugs, I started sleeping in a hammock in a different room, where, alas, they eventually found me again. I washed and sprayed the hammock regularly, but to no avail. The solution was to put a CD/DVD on the hooks with duct tape to provide a perfect seal around the hole. I placed the discs in a vertical plane in the now common knowledge that the b's can't grip or climb on smooth vertical surfaces (as in the bedleg / interceptor traps). As an extra guarantee, I dusted the 2 sides of the discs with diatoamceous esrth (DE). So far so good. But there remains what do with my legless platform bed with hundreds of nooks and crannies. DDT maybe !? TNT !!!
Unless you thoroughly eliminate the bed bugs from the frame of the bed the steps shown in this video will do nothing. You need to thoroughly vacuum the frame and perhaps use chemicals on it or else the bed bugs on the frame will just reproduce.
easements rip but after you put the encasement on before you zip it dump a bunch of de powder into the encasement i guarantee the bed bugs will die over time.
I have found 2 big bugs and a baby one in my bedroom i have my matress already incased and my boxspring... i took everything apart and vacuumed my incased matress and boxspring and after that i cleaned out the bottom of my bead and metal frame.. but i also put down baking soda and baby powder and all over the hot spots as they say... i also used goldbong foot powder.. and the. Last but not least i washes and dried all my sheets in hot water and heat.. and i lined up all the perimeters if my mattress with dryer sheets and under my bead is nothing but powder.. so you think this will help me? I didnt see a big infestation just those that i mentioned and i have hardwood floors and no clutter... I just don’t want to be bit anymore.. plus I ordered another incasment to double layer the first and i put tape over my plugs please tell me im doing enough ive never delt with this situation before
So long you cover the bed with A plastic bed cover with a zipper that's all you nead the bugs can crawl up on plastic to get to bite you they live offhuman blood so eventually they will die they can live inboardkeep the plastic on your bed this is true try it
You got it buddy I own plastic and metal no more box springs ever. I've considered some sort of plastic box springs no more headboards. Gotta be smarter than a bug peace

GET METAL BED FRAME. NOT WOODEN BED!!! Bed bugs love hiding in wood sealments.
