      @@SoulWords Cool. First of all, I'm not Jewish. I do believe in God, but I have a love-hate relationship with him, and I'm not always very respectful of him. But I'll avoid being disrespectful.
      Here's my question:
      Ultimately speaking, is God the only thing in existence? And if so, where does that leave us? Are we him in some sense?

    Thank you Rabbi for the powerful and inspiring class. Also, the song you referenced has a beautiful line “I write in the night to bring truth to the light”. Thank you for bringing truth to the light.

    B"H Thankyou Rabbi for this. I have aspergers and have not a very good self estimation. I always wondered was im always self conscious and skittish and people would describe me as shy, but im not shy i like people. This teaching has helped me to finally understand why im like this. I put into practice this teaching today at work and the conversation with people was real (i work front of house in cafe) and wasnt rehearsed lines like normal. Im usually making mistakes and dropping things and messing up orders and i tried my best to remember its Hashem thats making everything happen whether it seems easy or difficult and it was like dancing and singing all fay instead of like hard labour.

    I just honestly find sometimes hard to be motivated when I know my gifts aren't mine really, they are G.od's made. What is my own part in the process of actualizing my potential?

    • @SoulWords

    So many are suffering from low self confidence and shame bc of a perceived sense of doing something wrong from their life experiences where people have told them that theyre shameful and they suffer all their lives needlessly bc they second guess themselves constantly and others have no shame bc they believe that they're OK no matter what they do and they do succeed bc of the strength they have from their positive beliefs about themselves. How does that fit in with what your teaching?

    • @SoulWords
      @SoulWords  Год назад +2

      What you say is unfortunately very true. Many of us carry unnecessary shame that was imposed upon us and which we then internalized.
      For those of us dealing with that problem, hopefully this class can play a small part in then realizing that this kind of shame is unfounded. We do not need to conform to the expectations of others.
      At the same time, even if we learn to reject the false shame, it’s important to realize that there is a real shame that we feel when we are misaligned with our G-d-given purpose. Hopefully this class can also help with that. In other words, it reminds us to use our gifts to glorify Hashem so that we can feel healthy self-esteem.

    How do you know that Gold is only supposed to be used in the temple? Is that fact or opinion?

    • @SoulWords

      Midrash (Bereishit Rabbah 16:2) says, “The world was not worthy to have the use of gold, and it was created solely for the sake of the Holy Temple.”
