- Jane's solo electric performance at a benefit in West Hollywood, circa October or November in1995.
The benefit was held at Out Of The Closet thrift store on Santa Monica Boulevard and there were other acts on the bill including Jill "I Kissed A Girl" Sobule, singer-songwriter Melissa Ferrick, and "Everywhere I Go I Hear The Go-Go's" artist Phranc.
Charlotte Caffey was also in attendance but did not perform--I did see her write a check!
I would say there were in the neighborhood of 60 people in attendance when Jane played--it was a come-and-go all-afternoon event but we only went to see Jane, naturally.
We sat right in front, directly in front of Jane. We didn't know if she would be bothered that we were videotaping but she didn't seem to mind, and all these years later it's wonderful that she didn't mind because now it can be enjoyed by many.

1995 was the height of girl ragers. Hole, veruca salt, breeders, liz phair, and on and on. They all did "unplugged" sets for the college radio stations. Really good stuff. This performance here smokes every last one and its not even close. Shes an entire genre unto herself.

I wonder how they were able to book her. She is so beautiful. My very first concert was the GoGo's and I was third row from the stage. Of every member of the band, she was my favorite. I had such a huge crush on her, and I still do.

I loved those Ibanez Talman guitars she played back then. I have the bass version and it’s awesome!
FroSTed was great but I think they would have done better on an indie label like Kill Rock Stars.
froSTed was freaking awesome! There was a bootleg video of them playing on some college campus about a year before the album came out that I got my hands on.
I watched it religiously and memorized all the lyrics. When I saw them at the cd release party I was right upfront singing along. Afterwards when I was talking to Jane she asked how I knew all the songs. I didn’t want to tell her there’s a bootleg that’s been floating around for a year, so I told her I’ve been blasting the cd all day (which was the total truth).
When pop stars had talent and class, plus a stupidly cute voice. Then I found out shes kinky as well, If only I had a chance she'd be the perfect woman.
