As far as I know you are supposed to use the black gasket under the pair valve block off plates, you’re supposed to un screw the reed plates and take the metal bits off but use the black part. Just a FYI.
Hello from Canada. I’m looking at my 2019 ZX10R and it seems my charcoal canister isn’t there. I’m the only owner and I’ve never taken it out. I see the holes where the bracket would go, but that’s it. Any idea what’s going on here? Is that maybe a emissions thing for the United States or something? Thanks in advance. Love the videos.
Great work man! It was really interessting where Kawasaki did all the modifications to fullfill the Emission regulations. You reversed all the stuff to become the same as my old GSXR-1100 😁. I don't know if I really want to do all the stuff. Afterwards the bike is not street legal, at least in Europe.
U guys did a good job ty. I did this on my zx6r. Now for the black off plates. Did u put the rubber valve flap back in then black off plates for a rubber seal ? Or did u do metal on metal plates on valve cover ? Also when u did the canister that valve u left on. There is a kit that plugs in so u can take it off or u can also solder them two wires together as well to take it all off
Thanks for watching. You can leave the rubber gasket under the block off plates. I didnt because i plugged the hole from the inside by removing the valve cover.
Looking for some help, I did both your videos and now it seems like my bike is stuck with the ktrc on even though I can switch it off, with it off it's acting like it's on, any ideas
Does this stop all the popping on decel? What exactly is the point of removing all this, I for one like the popping on decel so 8 don't know if I want the block off plates, unless I remove all that emissions stuff and leave everything open. I heard if you wanted to stop the popping to stick a marble down that tube and they're having a tear everything apart
Hi, Great video! Can I ask the four caps you put and then the other one closer to the front what are they capping? is that part of the pair valve system or is that only if you were taking the charcoal cannister out?
I've done this on other bikes. It's only for the canister. For the caps on valve cover u just need to block off the hose to the airbox it comes with the kit
What did you do with the single line coming from the front of throttle bodies? I know you removed the rear line that had the 4 lines going to each throttle body but it’s unclear what you did with the front hose. I’m in the middle of doing this job following your video and I’m now stumped.
Nice job bro . Question: what name the part u connected it on peir valves cable? And when I finished the check engine light is on ? And need to off it from ecu ? Thank u bro
And when remove motor flapper , ckeck engine light is on?? . When u remove air valve The airbox need a cap . Where i can order the cap airbox and caps u use it in ur video ? ThnQ bro
I’m going to put the links in the description. Pair valve: store.schnitzracing.com/schnitz-pair-valve-actuator-eliminator-plug-kawasaki-zx14r-06-21-kawasaki-zx10r-06-21/ Need 4 of these: www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/11065-0072 Need 1: www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/92066-1549
You will need something for the servo if you don’t have it flashed to keep it from having an engine light come on. If you’re talking about the Ram air flap, you just take that out and no engine light should come on.
Hey, I had a question, can you just pinch and zip tie the single pipe coming out of the charcoal can instead of putting 4 plugs on the fuel rail? Or they they shouldn’t be connected to each other at all?
Hey! So just really a comment for those in chat you can’t just solder the wire together you need to solder a resister between there otherwise it throws a code (I know from doing it on my zx6 But I got the plug for the zx10 cause it’s easier and cleaner
Y'all uhhh.......skipped some steps with the lower injectors and the clamps holding the air box to the throttle bodies lol. Air box ain't gonna come off that easy. I know from experience.
I think the camera angles are good but it needs to be more continuous. Not before and after shots, but start to finish. Especially when you are removing parts 😬 There also needs to be a little more play by play for each task (detailed explanation). I don't really feel I could do the job after watching, but that's me. Tearing things out of my bike is more nerve racking than installing parts. Hope I'm not coming across as too critical. My intention is constructive. I really appreciate the content and how much work goes into making each episode. I will be looking forward to the next installment!
I get what you’re saying. It’s always difficult to cut the right amount so the video isn’t overly long for no reason. I keep telling Antowan to explain everything more, but he just starts working and there he goes lol. The only before and after shots that I couldn’t do anything else with was the block off plates. There was no way for me to get in there for that part. I appreciate the comments though. A lot of people on RUclips would just dislike and just leave a negative comment. Glad you’re enjoying the overall series too. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I think another reason I missed the Mark on some of this video was I was rushing. We were traveling this weekend so I had to get it done in a day basically lol
SMART MOTO ELECTRONICS has a kit that comes with the rubber caps for the throttle body so you don’t have to order them separately.
Appreciate this
This was an incredibly done DIY, much appreciated
10:39 what did you do with this hose?
Where did you get the metal clamps to go over the rubber plugs on the throttle bodies?
Can I do this to my 2011 and ride without a flash or if I do all this work does it need to be flashed before riding?
Super helpful videos guys. Not exactly the same on my gen 6 but was similar enough to walk right through it
Hey man awesome video! I was just wondering what you did with this house 10:39
Thank you in advance brother
I’m trying to find out too.
What happens if I don’t cap off the houses from the charcoal canister?
Thank you so much! This was exactly whay I needed. Subbed immediately
As far as I know you are supposed to use the black gasket under the pair valve block off plates, you’re supposed to un screw the reed plates and take the metal bits off but use the black part. Just a FYI.
Great video and content, but this is correct, the plates are designed to be used with the gaskets from the pair valve system.

It could be an emissions thing for different countries, but I’m not sure. I think they require them in Europe as well

Did you cap off the line from the passenger side of the tank after you removed it?
What size is the breather hoses bro from the gas tank
Great video. I think my used bike was tuned. But I think they left all the air emission crap on there. Now I know where it is. I can check for it.
Yeah you can flash everything out and it turns it off. It’s fine if it’s left on there, but just excess weight and all that
Looking for some help, I did both your videos and now it seems like my bike is stuck with the ktrc on even though I can switch it off, with it off it's acting like it's on, any ideas

I heard if you wanted to stop the popping to stick a marble down that tube and they're having a tear everything apart
It’s just weight reduction really. Doesn’t do anything about popping. That’s just because of the A/F ratio
Hi, Great video!

I've done this on other bikes. It's only for the canister. For the caps on valve cover u just need to block off the hose to the airbox it comes with the kit
Is it necessary to tune a motorcycle on the stand after that if a full exhaust is already installed and it is configured under it?
Unless it was all tuned out at the time. Once you change something on it, it will affect the tune
@@harVentures , thank you very much, man.
Great video but I do believe your suppose to leave the reeds in the block off
What did you do with the single line coming from the front of throttle bodies? I know you removed the rear line that had the 4 lines going to each throttle body but it’s unclear what you did with the front hose. I’m in the middle of doing this job following your video and I’m now stumped.
Did you get it figured out
If I remove all this (as shown on the video). What would be the advantage and disadvantage?
Advantage is just weight saving. Most people flash out the emissions stuff when they have it tuned so it ends up being dead weight at that point
@@harVentures ...and how much total weight is saved by removing this?
Great video my guy. Thanks you doing it
Nice job bro . Question: what name the part u connected it on peir valves cable? And when I finished the check engine light is on ? And need to off it from ecu ? Thank u bro

Many thanks bro 💙💙
The two hoses coming from the gas tank. Were the little ends on the tank capped off?
Did the hoses from the tank are definitely removed too ? Thanks guys 💪🏼
Yeah everything we showed and then put the cap on to seal it
Love your videos man
Will this same removal work on the gen 4 zx10r?
Not 100% sure, but they should be mostly the same.
Tank you very much from France , very good quality in vidéo and very clean it’s so simple dis your instructions 🤘✌️✌️
Hey, I had a question, can you just pinch and zip tie the single pipe coming out of the charcoal can instead of putting 4 plugs on the fuel rail? Or they they shouldn’t be connected to each other at all?
Either way.
Thank
You can lowering your zx10r?
Nope he just uses front straps
@@harVentures ok your bike a stretched?
@@harVentures needed cap?
Still stock wheel base. No plans on stretching or lowering as of now.
Great video
Can you post the part number of the 4 plugs you used .
Thank yuh .

Thats the Kawasaki Part # for the caps.
Dang missed this comment. They are also linked in the description
Did you remove the air flap ?
Yeah we did, but I think we did it later on.
Thanks, great tutorial video!!!
Glad you liked it!
Tank you very much Guys !!
No problem!
Hey! So just really a comment for those in chat you can’t just solder the wire together you need to solder a resister between there otherwise it throws a code (I know from doing it on my zx6

Disregard previous request in earlier vid. You are showing everything here. Your gen learned from my gen mistake in wire/cable routing.
It’s still a mess dealing with cables lol. I think I missed your request before though 🤔 what were you wanting to show?
I think the camera angles are good but it needs to be more continuous. Not before and after shots, but start to finish.
