Travis. These videos are building to an absolutely priceless resource for tips and tricks. Absolutely LOVE it. Every video you release I'm playing with the techniques in Nage Komi and seeing if I can get them to work for me. That last Ouchi video you posted I tried and it worked well for me. What your doing is amazing keep it coming....thank you. 🙏🙏
Thanks again Travis! I like the idea of using the cross grip as a tool for creating more offence when you feel stuck in randori. I will definitely be adding this to my game!
They stuff have really helped me when I'm practicing at home but I have a question. I'm 12 would I be aloud to use all these stuff you teach us in a tournament. My category is usually elder orange belts, green belts around my age and blue belts around 13 or 14
A very nice grip break, indeed. However, isn't "pulling out the bottom of Uke’s jacket or his own jacket" considered as shido in new IJF rules? Is this grip break legal in judo? I would be very grateful if someone could provide me an answer.
Thanks Travis! How do you deal with your opponent cross gripping you? I've had some success with pulling them in with a cross sleeve grip/russian, but it's harder when they're defensive and posting on the shoulder.
BJJ. In randori, we mostly honor the gripping rules, but in Jiu-jitsu class some of the guys I do stand up will use cross gripping as a stalling tactic.
2:25 RvL grip break to hip throw
3:13 sumi, kouchi, osoto, ogoshi, uchi mata
