I adore my QSP penguin. It's one of my favorite edc knives and I'm carrying right now (and have been for a couple of week). I think I'll buy the swordfish now! Thanks for checking QSPs. Great brand
Thanks Jared! I like some of the QSP knives. The new pivot design sucks tho. Should have just been the logo imho. Much preferred the simple triangle design.
My penguin has great action, I just wish it was a smidge longer in the handle. I finally found my answer for T6's. I got a Wera T6 L-key wrench. It feels silly to me, but damn it has helped me not strip those screws. It's super high quality, and it lets me hold the opposing T6 screws more easily when I have to undo the barrel spacers on so many knives. I am waiting waiting for some knife manufacturer to realize that D-shaped barrels belong on barrel spacers as much as they belong on pivots.
I ordered an s35 and carbon fiber Grebe. The scales look great and the action is awesome but I'm sending it back. I didn't realize how chunky it was. Seems like the scale material is twice as thick as it needs to be and there's no contouring at all. It could be a home run if it was just a bit thinner and more refined. It certainly doesn't feel like a $150 knife.
I mean Jack wolf is charging 300+ for their knives which are much smaller and also made overseas you get much more knife with this QSP which was clearly made to counter Jack wolfs knives
QSP Penguin was the knife I got when Covid shutdowns started. 28$ Denim. I was blown. Fit n Finish and it put in the work. I buy 150$ knife that disappoints…Bang..Penguin. Ended up with 11 regular. 4 Ti. A couple of Peng+s and a couple of baby Penguins. That new one is mine. There OEMs have been better than their own line…until now I hope. Thanks for QSP love.
QSP is a great no frills every day knock around knife producer. My wife has a Parrot in her car and I keep the Penguin in our end tables and use is as an around the house beater. Great affordable knives! Then QSP goes on to do awesome OEM work for the likes of Qvist with the Variant and Vanish and Invert and those are excellent! So I like to see QSP coming out with premium options and hopefully they can mingle the button lock with different models and maybe explore their own version of a cross bar lock; the possibilities are endless!
I'm sad that the QSP Hawk doesn't get any love from the community or QSP. It's the knife that got me into the knife world and still is a go-to for me almost two years later. The blue denim micarta still looks vibrant against the silver hardware. She remains drop shut and razor sharp no matter how much cardboard I cut up. Oh well no button lock version on the way I guess.
QSP I'm a big fan. Got a lot of your knives. Please for the love of God do not let that be the new pivot. Please make a bigger canary. The swordfish is going to do good if the price is right.
Penguin has a mean blade shape. But really like the swordfish the most. That dama canary is a pretty knife but Im not really a fan of fixed blades. Might just have to order me a swordfish soon, just so many on my mind to get. 😂
QSP has really taken its name seriously, Quality, Service, Price! Quality is practically unsurpassed, action is excellent in every case, materials are all over the map, but always sound, the details are good and they use thumb studs (which I prefer)! QPSs are always good knives.
I have the Qsp Penguin in s35 vn. I’m guessing it’s on the softer side idk. I’ve never had any knives in that steel but it doesn’t seem to be any better than anything else I’ve had. It loses its really sharp edge very easily. I was expecting a really good edge retention. It’s ok I guess. I’m not sure it’s better than 420 from what I’ve got. The handle is a little slick sided but my hands don’t grip like they used to. It’s ok for the price but I will try something different next time. I’m not trashing it. It just is what it is.
Idk, I feel like QSP is late to the game with some of their offerings. Plus that new logo on the pivot is so aesthetically un-appealing. I still want a mini penguin someday though.
These knives look nice, but they might be a year late. There's so many budget knives out there that are virtually the same thing. I'm sure they're nice though!

Brah..Stellar knife. Right?
@@Tatterdsoul stellar knife. For me, perfect for EDC

Traditional pocket knives a amazing sale on all kinds of Penguins. I have enough to just put another pivot on. But I see your point. Less not more

Your comment that "I have no excuse" makes me feel glad that I'm following your channel
Cool Penguin but C. Risner Cutlery and their jigged Ti is just too damn good. I hope they make more Jigged Ti for other budget knives.
The BANG is back ! We Got’em boys !

The swordfish looks sick and right up my alley
The price of the penguin slip joint is crazy..$195 for an overseas made slip joint...tempting, but I'll pass at that price
They have a Micarta/G-10 and 14c28N verison with the same walk and talk for $60ish
They are getting crazy about their pricing. To a point I shop elsewhere now. I get them when they go on sale if I catch it.
@@supahonky9492 it’s not a bad price for the quality they put out.

Recently got the 35VN with carbon fiber. Love it!
My QSP Rhino has that awesome jimping the Canary has too. I love it style.
Traditional has them for 219$. Great price
I gave 2 friends Parrots. They love them. I hate a neck knife so I would convert it to appendix carry
I really think the fixed blade looks super nice just wish it was bigger

Cool designs but i also prefer the old pivot logo. The triangle was much classier.
Qsp does make a variety of colors steel and handle material I have owned a penguin for about 4 years it makes a great EDC

QSP always sends knives crazy sharp with a perfect edge. A big reason I buy their stuff.
I love the Swordfish!
Good stuff as always, J-rad!
👊🏻
Nice insights!
I have the QSP Hedgehog. That would have fit in to this video nicely
These are the QSP's ive been looking for.

That penguin slip joint is fire, I’ll take the 14c basic one.
Dude that fixie Damascus omg your killing me bro 😅
That’s a cool little fixed blade
A Civivi clip fits on the parrot too.
Ew, that new pivot logo is gross. Way too busy. I loved the triangle.
I agree the triangle pivot logo is way better.
I gotta agree as well, the Triangle is simple and fits the designs.
I believe they put the triangle on their high end stuff.
Love the honest info!
Really wish they would make the Canary fixed blade with a 5-6" blade and all the same blade and handle options...
That would be a beast of a knife 😆
Love your content brother.
can't really get into the slip joints, but obviously some do or they wouldn't be making them
QSP makes good knives
I wonder why so many companies think that slippies dont need clips.....
Idk, I feel like QSP is late to the game with some of their offerings. Plus that new logo on the pivot is so aesthetically un-appealing. I still want a mini penguin someday though.
What is the name of the first knife with that good ol Clip Point Button Lock?
Grebe
Enthusiastic review :)

🤗🤗👍👍👀👀💪💪
QSP has no clue what a plunge grind should be lol
"I love that they didn't have a deep carry clip..." Wha-wha-what??!!!
1 out of 100,000 people care about a nanometer size smile on their blade lol. I am one of them....
