- In this video I visit the Mavericks Skatepark at Henley On Thames. I skated here once before when I was a proper beginner so it was great fun to compare what I found hard last time to how it felt this time. I also battled a new one which was the 5050 grind across the clam shell.

Cool park
Omg that looks awesome! I'm 45 n literally yesterday learned to pump on my new surfskate having not been on a board apart from a snowboard for 30 years! Henley is just down the road from me. I've subbed off the strength of this vid. I need to get as much skating in as I can before crappy winter rolls in! 👍
Yeah dude !! Go get it!
Awesome session there Jon
great looking park, you make it look easy.
Good work bro
I love going back to parks that I haven't been to since I first started skating. It's so cool and encouraging to be able to skate things that seemed impossible before.
Yeah dude!!
It's a nice park. Good bowls. Maverick skateparks do good work 👏
Wow! That's a nice park!
Looks like a great spot
It’s a corker !!
Nice skills mate. You are far from beginner! 👌🏼
Many thanks for tuning in dude !
That pump bump looks big to me. I’m sure it looks even bigger in person 😳
It’s quite exciting 😂
Wanderfull place.
Not half !!
El Campello Surf Club :-) Nice cap Jon!
Love that spot, my favourite cap !!
Jon you should come visit ups in the North East some great parks and DIY's
Many thanks for the tip dude !!
Mind me asking whereabouts those parks are? I'm returning to York after 10 years in China this September, been trying to scope out some decent parks with bowls. I grew up in Brid and loved the one there, from memory think Wakefield had one and seen online recently there's one in Horsforth near Leeds. Want to try my hand at the refurbed vert ramp at Malton too.
@@jamieboynton Preston Park in Stockton has a great bowl, Tryin HQ in Hartlepool is an awesome skater owned indoor place which has a real familly vibe too it.. Exi Park in Newcastle, Wastey DIY in Newcastle all superb. There is a DIY in York atm I believe also
@@kangdiamond4358 Awesome, thank you. Will be sure to check them out when I get the chance!
New man old territory
How come no one was there? Was it a early or a late sesh? Switch with no pads? You’ve unlocked the next level Jon. 👊🏻
Yeah dude, got lucky, 7.30am kick off and just one lad turned up around 9am for 20mins ??
Entertaining vid
You should publish your Tour…think of all that Merch you could flog to us middle-aged men with disposable income 🤣🤣
Cool & Gnarly :P
Hey Jon any future plans to hit the US?
The pilgrimage to CA has to be done for sure!!
@Jon Bishop same. Hoping to skate Fresno somewhere down the line.
this is my local i was skating there to day :0
Nice 👌
No knee pads??
Yeah dude, I prefer to skate without pads. It forces me to commit and is more pleasant when it’s hot. If I’m on big trannie or learning new stuff I use them 100%. On this park the radius was quite tight so run out seemed like a better option. The Helmet is always on regardless!
amen to the helmet!
Helmet is definitely what I need. Unfortunately because of having dreadlocks helmet sizes are challenging as far as finding a size that will fit.
😂pump nipple😂
More of a pump boob to be honest 😂
