"Did you come here to die?
Captain of the Starship Brisbane: "Nah mate, we came 'ere yesterdie"
God damn it. Have a like.
😂😂😂
LOL... I'm still laughing...
This motherfu..... Take my like!
God dammit 😂
This story sounds like the introduction speech that species gave to call the humans to the podium, i like it so much!
Now you say it I can definitely see that..
now thats one of the ways you make proper friends across cultures with those that may have a negative impression at first , and not one absorbing the other either
I was honestly waiting for "'The humans are here,' was said, fear and despair tainting the words."
Oh shit, the humans are here. RUN!
This was actually quite stirring stuff!
I like this trope
This is basically the 'cool kid gets pestered by the annoying kid until they one day get helped by them and become friends'
Human bad, human annoying,.... human Hardy, human resilient....humans resourceful....humans honorable, humans good, humans saved us. The humans are here
YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!
This was a really great story! Reminds me of story setup of "...except the humans" by repeating the title, going from a bad to a good thing.
Indeed its similar and simple, but still very good.
@@rohenthar8449 absolutly!
I like it, The way the narrator started out as the species being annoyed at the humans to standing beside them in the end that was actually kind of cool
1:40 To them these were "scraps", probably very outdated/basic tech to them, but to humans they were no doubt godsends, tech the likes of which the humans never dreamed of or could have hoped for during their talks.
The humans swore they would repay that great gift.
5:10 And so, as the humans had sworn all those years ago they repaid their friends with ships no doubt improved by those "scraps" and tech developed from those same "scraps" too
Absolutely. The humans excel on a thing they call 'backwards engineering' which appartenly means 'taking a thing apart and making a better copy'.
@CherubielOne it also means taking a thing apart and figuring out *how* it works. Since just making a copy without understanding the principles on which it functions means you can really improve upon it.
@@jakdmavika9233The understanding seems to be part of the process, you're right.
Why did I feel so emotional with progression of each utterance of "Humans are here"?🎉❤
Aliens: 'Thank you for your offer, but there is no need for you to die alongside us. We will face our doom by ourselves.'
Humans: 'Die for you? I believe you misunderstand. We're not offering to die for your cause. We're offering to blow those sumbitches that wronged you to kingdom come and trust me, we know a thing or two about blasting others to pieces.'
I bet it was some Aussie battlefleet
"Did you come here to die?"
"Nah mate, we arrived 'ere yesterdie"
Moral of the story; never turn down the scrappy sidekick.
I don't know what it is but this channel always finds the best SciFi stories compared to all the others.
This is still my favorite HFY story, and it is the one I tell people to listen to first if they are curious about the genre
The change in The Human are Here . How three word sounded and placed! Gave a total different feeling of the meaning . You could say there twist in the story.
During WW1 General "Black Jack" Pershing Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces, upon landing in France, declared " Lafayette we are here". Meaning we don't forget a debt or a friendship.
They only came because the germans stupidly sunk one of their ships.
Colonel Charles Stanton said not Pershing.
@ethanjohnson2849 you're right! But as it happens in a lot of history, people, throught it, made a better story if it was attributed to general Pershing
Reminds me of Capt. Lloyd W. Williams. "Retreat? Hell we just got here!"
I love the idea that we just brute forced our way past lightspeed rather than trying to figure out warp drive or something. "Laws of physics? What's that?"
More ❤
this is quite a beautiful story
heheheh "Here heres you a walkie talkie...now go outside and leave me alone"
The humans are here from hate to joys 😂😂. Gotta say I'm enjoying those stories
lol
Oh shit, the humans are here. RUN!
That's the next step.
An excellent feel-good story.
Damn right the humans are here, very good story!
Just...a great story.
Absolutely brilliant ❤
well done. Inspiring.
Thank you, this was an excellent story. 💯
Great story!
This is my favorite story tbh
the humans went from being hated to being loved
Thank you for this story 💙💚❤️ and for all your effort & the time you put in when uploading this. It is really truly appreciated 🙏
I saw the story is short & wondered if it would be interesting- and it was !
I enjoyed this & thank you for that🤩🤩🤩
I love it so much and are you and Aliea :)
Cool Story. I wanna see the TV series!!!
This would make a real good series.
I love it so much it is so good :)
I do like the HFY stories that don't just depict human as 40K Imperium or Imperium-lite or even something eldritch.
Good story.
That was a good one
On fire acutally ❤
The marines are here!
awesome story
one thing that comes to mind is that the other species (narrator) mentions signing deals with humans to get rid of them if they did that they probably accepted raw deals which were way more favorable to the humans
Ah yes, the "just do it" method.
Humanity: This world is not yours to conquer!
A lot of references about Citadel from Mass Effect.
Honey the humans are here
It would be very human to have incited/guided this dispute in first place, so they could solve 3 issues with 1 stone: deal with the competition/enemy and return the favor to these not-so-friendly guys they once helped the "monkeys".
Which would prompt a speedy incorporation to the galactic consul.
cheers
Trust earned the hard way. But working to better others without taking. By honest hard work. By standing by your friends no matter what.
Of all the human qualities, I'd list stubborness and loyalty as our best. We dont give up when we should, and if we make a friend, we will stick by them to the very end.
Peta .. the human is here
Humanity would 100% have scrapped together warships that don’t use formal travel technology in favor of using multiple travel methods with a weird ability to use a warhorn in space.
❤
kurzgesagt should animate this.
Humans ve like,,,
We can accept 5 years,, instead of 100 yearssss contract stuff
4000 quatloo's the humans cannot be contained!
I hope one day we are worthy
Would that we may attain such lives!
So mass effect in a different universe?
Citadel of Ricks... ha ha ha
if only
I wonder if a human wrote these great short stories.
I want to ask the same thing. But I would leave out the word great.
@@you2449 Not great . I just liked this one.
Clearly the author has never met a human in real life.
So, we're the Jehovah's Witnesses of the Galaxy?
No, JW is the opposite. Corrupts, isolates and destroys all hope.
By "brute force FTL" Do they mean we just make rocks fly faster?
i believe this line's meaning was "Humans don't care to FTL consequences that causes to their ships, rationally reduce those ships serving span!! Because they casually fix them after that!!"
Really liked it. Could have left out the unnecessary bit about humans having considerable military might though.
At least it's not "The British are here" 😂😂😂😂
I bet what he meant by "Brute force FTL" was the alcubierre drive, warping space time itself to get to one place.
In response to it being called Earth despite being covered in water.... Earth is made up of like >99% earth. Water is less than 1% by volume
"Excuse me, do you have a moment to talk about your lord and savior, the Humans?"
The galatic council are racist, human uses buy-to-win, it's very effective.
f--ckim eh
First
Guys. Come on. I suspect the AI wrote this. And it's manipulating you. Don't make it so easy for them.
Well im on a bus and have time to kill so... yeah
If it’s a fun and entertaining story to listen to and is actually well structured, so be it.
AMERICA IS HERE THEY SAID IN DESPAIR!!!
And they have one question, "who touched our boats?"
Define america
@@yosta29The land and citizens of the United States of America.
Narrator's voice is ANNOYING
