    I think one of the more useful aspects of this list is how it delves into the interplay of how moves in Tekken work, or the "rules" as you called them, and how these moves represent a significant enough departure from that to be noteworthy.

    I agree Just Frame Lazer Scraper is top 2, but I feel Tekken 5 Steve 3 1 1 was worse because it was literally a win the game button with no effort. Being able to step and then do it for extra movement just made it even easier to catch someone with.

      @@Raver-1601 well to be fair the JFLS wasn't banned cuz technically it kinda impossible to ban it cuz unlike Steve's infinite its a normal string while Steve's infinite comes from a stance so you can just ban the stance

      @@tcbbctagain572 I disagree, banning the stance is much more difficult and ruining to a character because you ban multiple moves instead of just one. Banning JFLC would be as simple as banning the Just Frame, not the string or even the unblockable.

    • @tcbbctagain572
      @tcbbctagain572 2 года назад +3

      @@shiekastate well in Steve's case, banning the stance didn't really ruin or hurt him did it 😂
      Btw as far as im concerned that stance in tekken 5 only had 2 moves, 1 was basically useless the other was the infinite, so you really didn't ban multiple moves.
      While for jin if you're gonna ban a string you might as well just ban the character.

    Tekken 2 Bruce was busted. His strings did a lot of damage and were natural most of the time. His f 4,3,4 or b, 4,3,4 enders did insane damage because damage scaling still wasn't that much of a thing in T2. He was a beast in T2 and the redesign (replacement) into Bryan was pretty well received.

    I agree with jfls as number 1. It was an insane move for a character that already had a parry, in a game heavily geared towards poking, and out side of side walking, movement was extremely limited, you couldn't get a away from anything laterally. T4 was about close combat, and plus frames if you character had them outside of jabs. What a ride!

      Nope number two is actually quite tricky to set up you have to hold three sway at the same time then go to your left or somebody's back and if you don't do that it's counter hit only. While number one you can set up your entire game plan around one move and allows you to play mind games with another player which is totally more overpowering than just killing you on site you can literally just threats at the player and make a play lose mentally way before the game even starts

    • @ikedatike2533
      @ikedatike2533 2 года назад

      @Kayn Zero it's only steppable if you block the first two hits of jfls. The thing I think people really tend to forget is that most players have thin skin so even though they know it they probably won't do it.

      Fair way to look at it, though Jin's Laser Scraper options on top of being T4 Jin.
      There's no mistake.

      When I said redo Fighting Games over I wasn't talking about Remakes Reboots Remasters Updates Upgrades HD D.L.C & not Backwards Compabilities nor both ways

    Aside from a great deal of recency bias I think this is a fantastic summary of the ridiculousness of Tekkens OP moves

    King's df1 in Tekken 1 deserved the number 1 spot, far more broken to be launched for blocking a df1 than anything else, at least Bruce's string can be low jabbed, King and AK's have literally no weakness, the only thing you could do was getting hit on purpose and pray to be out of range for another one

      Bruce's jab strings are a guaranteed 2-hit KO on block (58 damage, a full health bar in T2 is 110), and by the way they're 8-frame. Preemptive duckjabs at midrange are at risk of getting tagged by Bruce's 3,2,1.
      Not saying King df1 is not stupid, but it's less guaranteed damage (on King, for sure; and AK cannot touch-of-death off a blocked df1 so it's still a 2HKO on block) and 6 frames slower so I understand why it ranked lower.

    only this series would allow for a list this massive, and there was production value all the way throughout
    I think I managed to guess about half of the top 10, hard to disagree with aside from steve's plug and play infinite losing to jfls
    I kinda expected tekken 7.0's stature kick to appear too
