I think one of the more useful aspects of this list is how it delves into the interplay of how moves in Tekken work, or the "rules" as you called them, and how these moves represent a significant enough departure from that to be noteworthy.
I'm only 15 minutes in and I'm in shock that this doesn't have more views. The video is well crafted and clearly took a ton of effort. It also taught me things I didn't know about previous games!
@@Slav69k lol .. Tekken has more than double the number of players mortal Kombat has on steam Tekken has 6k active players .. mk has 2.5k .. even though tekken 7 is a 6 year old game while mk is much more recent (3 year old) .. now pick which one is dead 😂
Excellent video, but I gotta say 2nd most broken move: easy zero to death loop, banned from tournaments 1st most broken move: "it wasn't *completely* busted"
The reason why The number one move is that way is because imagine a unblockable juggle combo with nasty damage coming from a game where juggle combos and regular combos have been nerfed. Plus you can't really backdash to get away from him Sense movement has been nerfed in that game
As a kid, Nina and Anna's "f,f+4" was the bane of my playthroughs. That and Jack/Prototype Jack/Kuma/Ganryu's "Hammer Rush" where if the first hit connects, the other four are essentially guaranteed.
I agree Just Frame Lazer Scraper is top 2, but I feel Tekken 5 Steve 3 1 1 was worse because it was literally a win the game button with no effort. Being able to step and then do it for extra movement just made it even easier to catch someone with.
@@Raver-1601 well to be fair the JFLS wasn't banned cuz technically it kinda impossible to ban it cuz unlike Steve's infinite its a normal string while Steve's infinite comes from a stance so you can just ban the stance
@@tcbbctagain572 I disagree, banning the stance is much more difficult and ruining to a character because you ban multiple moves instead of just one. Banning JFLC would be as simple as banning the Just Frame, not the string or even the unblockable.
@@shiekastate well in Steve's case, banning the stance didn't really ruin or hurt him did it 😂 Btw as far as im concerned that stance in tekken 5 only had 2 moves, 1 was basically useless the other was the infinite, so you really didn't ban multiple moves. Balanced games tend to give everyone a tool you’d want. Good tools being removed is a sign of an unbalanced game because someone will always get lucky in that regard compared to making sure everyone has at least one move on contention for best in the game.
as much as this video is about a year old or so, it's great to see a list as long and as detailed as this. tha passion for the game is shown and the jokes land well and rewards someone who actually watches rather than just putting it in the background and listening to the details.
I honestly miss Laser Scraper/Annihilator.. not that I actually use it much. I just love the T3 Movement Animation. As much as I loved T5, I was really bummed out that Jin replaced a Majority of his fighting Move/ments on there.
I think Tekken 7 Dragunov's 3,1 into Sneak deserved to be on at least honorable mentions, it was only available for two weeks but gave Dragunov probably the best wall carry in the game.
Although lei's new sna 4,1 is really good, it's not a forced 50/50 launch mix on hit like you say. It's only +4 so it can be interrupted by a dickjab on hit which adds a third option to the mix.
Tekken 2 Bruce was busted. His strings did a lot of damage and were natural most of the time. His f 4,3,4 or b, 4,3,4 enders did insane damage because damage scaling still wasn't that much of a thing in T2. He was a beast in T2 and the redesign (replacement) into Bryan was pretty well received.
Kind of surprised my beloved Kazumi's original df1 wasn't even at the bottom. From what I've heard and seen, that move had way more range than a safe mid poke should.
wow a 2 hour video on only tekken moves. this isnt a thing i thought i wanted but im all here for it. the only op moves i really know about jins op lazer scraper from 4, kings df,1 in tekken 1 and steves infinite in tekken 5. really cool hearing about other op moves i didnt know about.

What an incredibly well put together video. I had my guess, and I was surprised it ended up as number 2 instead of number 1, since there's still defense options against number 1.
@@yoshimallow This is my question too. Because getting used to a just frame move definitely takes a lot more time, patience and effort to master than a well-timed sidestep whiff punish, let alone a sidestep move that leads to a guaranteed KO. So I agree; while T4 JFLS is busted, T5 DS is even more so in my opinion.
IIRC, #48 (Lei 6.0 BT d+1) also became really safe on block by holding f to turn. F still turns 1 frame faster than B. I forget how safe this made it, but I think most characters couldn't launch him from it on block at least. I wish I had a T6.0 to test (and a TTT2.0 machine for that matter).
