I am working on a newer version of the mod. However my computer's GPU died. I am not financially in the position to get another GPU. Any help would be nice :)

This is such a great mod with amazing potential - keep up the great work Kuku! The community greatly appreciates what you've built, and I can't wait to see how this continues to evolve!
Nice job I loved how the npcs interact with their assigned posts. Would be awesome to add some merchant npc who could sell food or crafting materials or even potions(meads). And assign them to a post so we can have them own their shops. Would really be looking forward for an update like this.

With these past couple of updates the functionality of the villagers is SO well now, I definitely recommend this plugin.

I had a quick question~
Long story short: I am using popvillages mod alongside yours and wanted to combine their functionalities so that the villages spawn your citizens instead of just pet citizens.
So far: I have found the prefab names of your villagers (bob_DoD, barbara_DoD, etc) in your .dll & attempted an integration by simply getting them to spawn within the popvillages_spawn-that .cfg file (which is how popvillages spawns it's citizens in the first place - found in the ./config/popvillages/ folder) and successfully got them to appear! Unfortunately, it seems like your UI does not function when the villagers are spawned without using your "createvillager" function.
Oh man, just picturing the thought of a village that spawns funcitoning villagers once it is liberated sounds SO good for the soul! ahaha
But I digress,

this is the best step for Valheim modding.. not only npcs but they even work and fight for you... can't immagine how potential that could have! Good job keep it up and waiting outstanding your great job!
been using a bunch of mods to create something like this so having everything i want in one mod is gonna be really nice for my next playthrough.

Pretty good start as far as npc mods for Valheim go. Refilling torches and fire sources should be a job that's something that gets tedious as your build size increases.
Irongate really needs to add steam workshop support already if their progress is going to be so pathetic.
This is in my opinion the most sorely needed mod in Valheim. Good work!
A few comments: I noticed that the villager models are a bit too detailed compared to the player model. Would you be able to just use the default model options for all villagers? Additionally, the weapon models share the same jarring feeling - could you make them less flashy? Again, maybe just the default axes from the game?
Some other mods allow you to make specific archers, or warriors or workers. Allowing to give weapons to equip villagers could help with this.
Could multiplayer functionality be added such that different villagers can consider other players as enemies ? Sort of how wolves protect a specific player.
Finally, consider putting a limit on how much you can update a villager so you cant possibly make a villager that can 1 shot a boss for example.

This is huge! I'm wondering how difficult it would be to add tasks like making charcoal, harvest/gather crops and cooking?
This looks like a very interesting mod. I do have two questions:
1. Do you have any plans to update it to the most recent version of Valheim? It would be great if it were updated. Otherwise I'll unfortunately have to look for something else.
2. Do you know if your mod will work together with ValadrielsMadNPCs mod? I know PopVillages doesn't work with that mod, because apparently it has conflicts with Sages Vault.

I need help with assigning. After I click on the assign tab it vanishes and when I press E I get the text saying "Loves you". I can only order them to follow me that's all. I can't assign tasks like defend post or work.

PS : How do you spawn villagers ? i use the same command on the video and idk it's not working ( i want to test and try things)(i use sktool for console command)

This is a very cool looking mod. I am wondering what the wander range or roam range is. For example, I want them to wander around my village but not actually leave the vicinity. How far will they go if not walled in?
I think it doesn’t have any range by default since I am using the default function provided by valheim and it didn’t seem to have any range
But I am planning to add range to the roaming function

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to not only create it, but then keep it updated as well. This is amazing, so very talented

Mod not working for me or I did it wrong.
Amazing work for trying to implement a new mechanic with more functional followers and i congratulate you for the effort. My only complain on this mod is that the characters look a bit out of place ,there was this mod called popvillages which spawned npc in the world after you cleared the draugr villages,besides introducing elves and dwarves in certain locations in biomes,but i was wandering why cant you use the same model as the characters in the vanilla game,or even better i enjoyed the dvergr added by mistalnds they blend in much better than this ultra gigh quality models. And I gotta ask why the blue hair on villages?come on it looks silly and it is a shame to neglect such hard work over such details and if you want to keep this version on the mod with character designs would your consider to release a separate version with the vanilla models?that would be awesome,again thank you for your time put into this and i hope this mod will go famous
I am aware that the models may look out of place that is why I added an option to replace the models with any models :) you can replace them with dvergers too if you want to

I am not a 3d modeller so I had no control over the models
Does this mod still work via Thunderstore? Everytime I load it up it gives me nothing but issues. The console gives me an error repeatedly until fps drops. No other mod does it. I tried the mod independently of others, minus the required mods.

It’s outdated and will only work on the version of valheim I made this. I kept the repo public in case any body wants to update it
@kukukudoes458 shame. It's such an amazing mod! Honestly, its the best one I've seen out there for adding civies to villages.
This would be amazing if it worked on Multiplayer! I really only play this game with friends, any chance somebody could update to work on multiplayer servers?
Mine is giving me an error saying something like "missingmethodexception ... Inventory GetEquipedItems()"
And NPCs won't spawn even if I use the "spawn" command please help
Mod not updated for a long time. It’s probably the new update that got rid of the function
You might have to switch to lower version of valheim
Hi Kuku. You mod seems to be very nice. I installed it correctly, I see the villagers wandering around, but I can't interact with them. It works with everything in the game but when I try to interact with a villager, nothing happens. Any idea ? Thanks in advance. Kindly.
Sad to say this has not been updated for a very very long time. you will have to downgrade your game version to use it. And I don’t really play valheim right now so I haven’t updated it

what can be avoided/disable in doing so that it works in multiplayer?
it should work in MP but might be buggy. I don't have much knowledge regarding multiplayer so I don't know how to proceed further
I can't get this to work in my steam version of the game. The NPCs can't be spoken to. Is there a workaround?

What is the key for opening the Runik Kuchuk tablet commands?
It’s numpad 1 by default
You can change it in the config file though

You don’t need a new world :) it will work totally fine in your current world

I tried it with one of my friendand it worked
But only the server owner can command the villagers
And I am not sure how work skills are going to be. You can test it out and let me know how it went :)

Hey man, I hate to be that guy but this mod is a genius idea. its literally the key to a lot of huge buildings for survival players, and it doesn't even feel cheesy at all. I don't wanna go find a different mod, but I sure have to. It would be amazing to have this be updated, although mod creators don't benefit from it. I wish you got something out of it other than people like me thanking you, but this coulda been the very thing we all needed as single players lol. Good luck in life man.@@kukukudoes458

I think you have to put a command in launch option of steam
You can google “enable console in valheim” and it should pop up
But I have to tell you this mod hasn’t been updated for ages and will not work unless you used the build for which I made the mod

Ce mod n’a pas été mis à jour depuis longtemps. La fonction a peut-être été supprimée dans les mises à jour plus récentes. Vous devrez passer à l’ancienne version pour utiliser mod. Si un moddeur veut prendre en charge le mod et le mettre à jour, il est libre de le faire. :)
