I really enjoy your videos because you describe the intent very well, then the process, and you are very clear and easy to understand, I've learned a lot from them, as you give very good descriptions of how the components do their work, and the circuit design. This video was quite interesting, because my old battery chargers, well built and designed, are dying of old age, rust is killing them, and the old components are hard to find. I really enjoyed the previous video, desulfating batteries, because it used to be very easy, when batteries were designed to be maintained, but sealed need exactly what you have provided, and I will build on and maybe recover several battery's. Kasyan, I have a doubt, regarding the automatic voltage control feature, but I would ask if understand you correctly, first: Your schematic at T= 6:44min made me understand the automatic control works as a high-gain voltage comparator (discrete, made with transistors, all ok) where the “reference” comes from the Zener+Trimpot (blue one). As far as a saw, it does NOT Modulate the phase of the SCR based on the charging of the battery voltage. The LED turning on abruptly might be a proof of that. I’m more accustomed to follow NPN circuits (my habit, sorry) but it seems that VT1 and VT2 and their resistors are polarized to have an hysteresis, as a Schmidt trigger, not to operate smoothly and linearly. Am I correct about this On-Off behavior? Why did you choose to do that? The only phase modulation seems to come from the Current Adj. Potentiometer, that one (upper part of schematic) that controls the RC time-constant of the relaxation oscillator. Thank you!
Hi. Very nice project! One warning: to charge PB car battery with liquid acid you must hold a 16V and low current for 3-4h. After this time the charging is complete and charger must be unplugged.

I bought cheap car battery charger but they never last long, the good one are very expensive, I need a 12v 20A charger with charging indicator and short circuit protection. Could you please designe a schematic for me?
What do you have against showing makes of the gear you have or use in a natural way? What is the worst that can happen? Maybe a viewer will go out and buy one. Is anyone hurt by this? Blanking out every brand name looks so lame when you are so obvious about it. :(
