This is my favorite bowl so far. I am very pleased with how this turned out! 😍
Do you like the tilted rim? Yay or nay!

      You're far to kind! ☺️
I think the wood it self has to get most credit for this one 😁

      @@coswood3454 Cheers! ☺️
Nice, make sure too dry it properly, plum is very prone to cracking and warping. Very rewarding when it succeeds however 😁

      Thank you Cristian!
Glad you also liked the tilted rim ☺️
I am somewhat obsessed with the ring tool now. There will probably be a few more bowls using it 😁

Great bowl Henning, you have shaped it so that the grain and its colours shine through and that ring tool sure cuts end grain well.
    Keep on turning.
    Cheers, Bluey 👍

      Cheers Bluey!
The ring tool worked well over my expectations, I've only seen it demonstrated by seasoned woodturners and they all make it look so easy. 😂
Still a huge learning curve I presume but I'll keep at it!
Thank you as always for your encouraging comments!

Nice work! What do you think of the hook tool? I just got one, and it’s I like it, although it seems a bit aggressive.

      Thank you Rick!
I have yet to try a hook tool. (I might have placed an order for three hand-forged hooks though... ) So we will soon find out. 😂
The ring tool however was amazing to use. I much prefer using a ring tool over a bowl gouge for the inside!
Thank you for watching and the comment 🙏

I saw your video title about "ring tool", and somehow read "hook tool"! I like the ring tool also, especially for hollowing vases.

@@RickTurnsWoodturning Well the idea of the hook and the ring seems to be the same so I'm sure I'll like it as well! ☺️
